1:06
Why? keeps us honest?
1:08
This Sunday closed on Sunday. Is that what it's called? That's another good song. It
1:12
closed on Sunday. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, don't think it will make it in based on it. It's only just pop. It's just suddenly come out. Depends
1:19
how many times I play it, I guess.
1:21
I mean, I've played a lot of that. Kenny is a genius. I know he likes to self I mean, anyone who says they're a genius. The thing you don't want to call them a genius based on my will decide if you're the genius or not.
1:34
But tall Poppy.
1:36
closed on Sundays county a song where he talks about chick fil a, which your brother's favorite restaurant
1:42
was? Oh, no, not my brother's favorite but fun fact my brother's wedding celebrant in North Carolina he owned or was the manager of a chick fil a big difference.
1:55
I think he's the you know, when you go to cafes, and you see the guy, the guy She's always there and you're Lawrence we love la No seriously honestly I there was so there was a guy at a cafe where I used to go years ago I was like and this guy's the owner owns this job this is so cool I made to the owner didn't own it didn't own any any of it there the people that you want though I guess
2:21
working look at how much Lawrence has helped us how many florins
2:25
maybe Lawrence does own the cafe that we frequent
2:28
maybe What's with your your underarms?
2:32
It's an old t shirt on a do the rounds boys.
2:35
Isaac a whole
2:36
six holes. Yeah, it's good little holiday God. Where
2:38
did the host come from?
2:41
I don't know. I mean, old, old fashion to be honest with. Now this is just I don't know. I am. I don't like we have a rule in the house. It's probably my my rule. And then I'm pushing onto me which is no seasons on Netflix like we've done too many of them we we end up getting so deep you just especially if it's a good one you start you want to watch it so the morning show
3:09
all the morning show I just thought on Friday the the latest episode of the morning shows come out and I haven't watched it yet it's because they released six of them or whatever five and now this like fuckin they like a deal on lucky they've got an acidic
3:27
this is the problem. I'm season specially the bindable stuff like the stuff that's like four seasons already there or they just launched with four seasons and so there's this one called good condom brand as well Outlander was it was so there's a there's a there's a show called Outlander.
3:45
Is it about is it a Western?
3:47
No sit in the 90s, early 19 1800s 1900s oldest foc like back in like Scotland, Ireland. And it's you know, everyone's like dread Stop and it's all that era but this and time travelers in there where they've been able to go, you know, forward and back and you're watching it. I mean, to be honest, and don't like period, drama like drama.
4:14
Seven there's a lot of things he doesn't watch.
4:17
I've never been one to like English sovereign him, like sovereign him. I love it.
4:22
sovereign Hill is for people not used to Australian references. How would you describe sovereign Hill it's a
4:32
time time has stopped in this little area. Ballarat was a gold rush town in outside of Melbourne couple hours. It was booming. So much guy was just a theme park. It's like that similar. It's like that. Yeah, like a theme park. time so they've got old building old buildings and see gold being poured gold being melted in go down into a mine. It's so great. of that. era and so I've never really liked the English period drama stuff like I just some reason the accent stuff I don't know for some reason Downton Abbey now can't do it. I've never I've never watched but I'm hooked on this one Outlander.
5:13
What episode are you up to?
5:14
Oh, see, I've just I have not come from season one. I came in at season four. I think
5:19
this because Amy was watching it. He was
5:21
watching and I was like, This is annoying, but I I'm trying to be better. Which one
5:26
was it because the while she was away, she felt like she needed some company. And because you weren't home chickens?
5:32
Were Tyrone Yeah.
5:39
What are you doing? 97 years busy. That was a funny bit.
5:44
Yeah, we look for validation. He was doing his research, but on this show like so. some reason I I just started watching when she was we also have a 55 inch TV in our
5:54
room. Flex but
5:57
this is it house. We haven't had a TV in four years more Maybe five years ever since we go back to Melbourne didn't have one has it got Wi Fi? For what
6:07
is it? Can you can you got apps on there like you could open like Netflix, so I haven't
6:11
gone that far. You go to Netflix button. It's
6:16
a living in a motel. Maybe.
6:19
Don't give me shit.
6:21
So what I'm what I'm sure you must have
6:23
only watched satellite TV on it.
6:25
I didn't set it up. So I didn't have foxtel I didn't have to put in the Wi Fi password, which I'm sure Amy's done. Right.
6:32
So I didn't do that. So but has it got internet?
6:35
Yeah, it has to because it was Netflix.
6:42
I was curious about it. Because you were saying that you couldn't watch like regular TV. You can only watch straight because we don't have a plug into the
6:51
antenna and that's okay. But yeah, I'll do some investigating. It's not a part of the story, but I've stopped yet. So we're watching. It's on Netflix. So You can see me through there. And I've and I've set through. I'm like, I'll sit through this one and now goes by my god, that was good. Another one. So I'm a little chunky. That's fine. It's nice. And there's this one scene on it, though, where they, they go on boats. What a time to have to travel between low aska and La, we just go in this huge bird. This this big metal ship that flies or the bird. That's what they call bird. Really. Some people call them birds. If think about what's something that flies through the sky, you could reference bird.
7:33
So do you understand the airplanes? I understand them being both. That's what I said. I was saying we go on this big bird through this. You're saying imagine being on a boat, you know a big bird. And so I thought
7:47
I was saying we go to LA It's amazing. We fly over there.
7:50
Do you think he was saying boats are big bird?
7:54
seconds behind what I'm saying? I just
7:56
thought you were questioning Tommy, Callie and Eric You lost
8:00
your mind I thought you were saying yeah no sorry
8:04
that was so cool helicopters birds Yeah,
8:06
so maybe I mean they things that fly in the sky anyway we take for granted that we just got to LA within 14 hours and it's quite comfortable I had three meals you slept all the way didn't piss.
8:16
Yeah, sure Cisco
8:21
and so was that the that was it?
8:23
No I said that but they're going on ships and so they sailing to you know Africa from the from the from England or wherever it is right and so what a fucking life to have to go on these boats were it's so dangerous like they just be wouldn't things now that
8:41
think about how many people would die on they're just like dude diseases and all that and what do they throw the bodies overboard like
8:47
they're they throw them overboard, that's what they're doing. So there's like them, they all come down with fevers and they've got fucking spots on their stomach and they don't understand what the disease like. We are the light like right now. If you're alive, like we saw last night at these fucking far,
9:04
I actually agree, I think you shouldn't watch seasons anymore.
9:08
What?
9:09
No, I agree. I think that it was because it's almost like the dream the dream stuff sometimes, you know, like retelling the story
9:17
of I'm just referencing that you know having a great time for this you just achieved that based no not not making not understand what I was talking about before. Let's see, do you not like it when I
9:27
tell you about my dreams?
9:28
Now I actually I like it when you tell me about your dreams because it's something you get passionate about. And there's very few things that you're passionate about. And so when you like, yeah, I couldn't believe it. And then like is yes, very detailed. Crazy.
9:42
Yeah. I see. I heard Seth Godin. Say no one cares about your dream. Really, which I was like, that's very true. I've got no interest in hearing about your dream. It's a complete made up world anyway, this season. Anyway, on the show, they touched on ships back in the day. They used to touch a Horse hoof like a horse shoe. What do you call it? The middle thing. So used to touch it for good laughs at a horseshoe horseshoe they used to touch it for good luck. And if someone didn't, potentially there was good and bad luck and now died. See? And so on this episode, they're like touching. I was like, the interesting thing is the person who had traveled the time was on the boat. And she was like, This is absolute bullshit. Like you guys get. Do you guys understand that? It's actually not doing anything. But people are superstitious.
10:33
People do have those things. I think it's probably less now. Maybe when there wasn't answers for shit back in the day. I think about how much we talked with ash Williams mate who's been on the show a few times about dying in a plane crash. And so I reckon I was probably 10% more through wary of dying on the plane.
10:54
But are you doing are you doing it? Are you living in any part of your life is there a superstition that you're you're connecting to Yeah. You don't seem like the guy that cares too much, but there are a bunch of people out there. love having like dream catchers if it's like,
11:11
I had dream catchers I nearly bought when
11:14
I was a stupid kid. dumb kid. All kids are dumb. Why is there such a push for youth?
11:21
What do you mean when
11:22
I was a kid when I was the student representative council president? I guess the whole thing is the kids at the future that's why
11:29
Yeah, the kids are our future might get a little gronk walking around now
11:35
who's going to be everything
11:36
will be President of the United States. Yeah. It is a crime. She doesn't know it's coming yet. Yeah, Mr. 97 are you superstitious? Like I feel you could be the guy who actually had some weird thing. I put my shoes at the door. Yeah, not you know. Okay. Now you just as boring as
11:54
there was i was i was googling them just before turkey have so many
12:00
In so people from from LA so I don't know if they're
12:03
actually carried through in that, you know, actively do them but in Turkey and he right hand hand means you'll come into some money each on your left hand means you'll lose money.
12:16
Or you could just have a heat rash.
12:18
Yeah. If you don't know you left from right, you could panic a lot.
12:20
Yeah, big problem. Also in Turkey chewing gum at night is apparently the equivalent of chewing on the flesh of the dead. Not good.
12:28
Now what if it's extra and it's spinning? It's lovely. Okay. It's lovely.
12:33
People still a true PK?
12:35
Yeah, yeah, so I sometimes by the real tight ass one because it's like 99 cents,
12:40
the grain marketing of pkg. Remember the ads 97 to ever remember. So PK is an Australian brand. Is it the global i think is it Wrigley's? I could be. Yeah, I'm sure they, they sort of own everything.
12:52
It's like a old school and she says black with white, yellow. Yeah. And then the yellow packet. Then just is what this show It's quite um
13:01
it's it's Wrigley's here
13:02
so they own it but it's just like a bit like a bare bones pack of beer back here the I nearly said bit backpack the
13:10
Do you remember that something specific about every and what do you remember from those ads? I can't remember any I remember like white teeth or whatever there was like white teeth there's one other thing with PK that I always remember what is it without flick it out of the pack? Oh yeah, there was always too so I think that there were there was a bit of a marketing or advertising exercises like we need to prime people to always take two out yeah conspiracy Jimmy my best man leave a Is it too easy to chew guy? He needs to choose if you're going to give him chewy yeah be one
13:45
in he's gonna be jaw Yeah. Any other ones in Turkey. What else is it what else did you find? says
13:50
there was a so there's another one in Turkey. jumping over a child will curse them forever.
13:56
Really? Yeah. Fuck I do that a lot. Yeah, what about I might spend too much time I'm over you.
14:01
When you when when do you move from being a child?
14:07
I guess there's sort of mentally and then there's sort of
14:10
Yeah, sure sometimes you don't make it past you're still a child world where we're quite child
14:16
to child things. I mean the Simpsons stuff. I announced yesterday with Adam and Simon that I am starting a bit of a daily ritual
14:29
is he said he's done it like I mean, it has to be two days in a row. Like he can only be daily ritual if it's beyond one day yesterday first I have
14:36
you know, so today my No, no, no.
14:42
I watched the episode, but I didn't write it down, which is a giant
14:48
reward is so define the ritual so yes, ritual
14:51
I need to Yeah, we talked about this a lot. It's definition of done is 97. And I talked about, you gotta make sure you know, you can edit Post for Instagram, but if it doesn't get posted, it's not that it's not done. Yeah. And so that's why we're so fucking good now without Instagram. Good job by the way everyone's been saying how much you've been posting, which I think is good, right?
15:13
Who's been saying that? The paper?
15:16
No, I think a lot of people respect it. Hi the daily talk show.com if I if you enjoy how much we posting on Instagram, but no definition of done in this case I need to actually write down the plot main plot points.
15:31
And so you've broken the daily ritual. I guess there's still time in the day you can still do it. Yeah. And and I mean, at what point like this is the one thing you and I both consistent that in life is that it's podcast. And so implementing a new one. It's quite an undertaking. You like to get you I could. I can imagine you want to give it your best.
15:52
I've also got like, secret things that I'm doing rituals that I'm not talking about.
15:58
That's good. That's good. Maybe the problems talking about the view.
16:02
And so I've, there's one that I want to brand involved with. And I want to do it on the show. And so I've been a man I sent a finally mail on Friday, a bit of that, hey, the opportunity sliding. I really didn't get back to me. I'm going to do this anyway and not in volume as a brand.
16:21
You got that lippy?
16:23
So I mean, why do you think it's going to move the needle with them? Based on?
16:28
I don't think I've received I haven't received an email. You sure it's going through? Yeah, that's
16:32
definitely it's definitely going forward. But that's something exciting that I will.
16:38
In fact, this means it's always exciting to I want to know your secret now. But I also don't want to rush it because if you have actually implemented something, yeah, it's a ritual
16:48
and it's working. And we don't want to stop. I don't want you to stop. What
16:50
do you think there's a problem with verbalizing
16:53
if my there's a TED talk about it. Literally, do not. Don't speak about your News resolutions, if you type that in 97 talking about your goals are talking about news resolutions as a TED talk. So
17:07
yeah, I think I remember something around the
17:10
what the chemistry set
17:13
Yeah, you get the same feeling the gym membership. Yeah, buying it feels like you're going
17:18
by the way. Second of January. I'm out of contract with. Yes. And so Bree has just been getting all into my calendar and saying okay, we need to be canceling this stuff. And so she's mapping it all out because
17:33
she's good like that. You need to move some things off a credit card if you
17:37
know she's told me about it. I haven't done it yet. But the Yeah, it's very much the monthly thing is easier. The yearly ones always get me the yearly subscriptions because they get a buy or they get me on the renewal because I'm never going to think about it in a year's time being Can you not just cancel it? after you sign up cancel, that's what I do. Well, so for instance, otter, which Why us on the show?
18:02
I bought that.
18:06
Last year, September 2018, it was 110 bucks. And then it got renewed this year on my personal account, September 29. So then you have to care. So Barry's been going through and canceling things so that when it comes for renewal, it doesn't hit the card.
18:22
And the focus on the new stuff, I think is interesting because I was I was thinking about the noise around stickit stuff guys wasn't as big back when we were kids like it like it's it's the secret sauce, right? But it's not glossy or it's not that glossy to tell a kid. Dude, do you know if you came in here every single day and did this thing. The closest thing I remember was Karate Kid. The movie, like the training involves the best Karate Kid On Earth and i and i did kickboxing for a bunch of time and I, I did it, I was obsessed with it. I do too, so much. And I remember thinking around that, like the martial arts has the discipline, the karate, you know, going and the discipline connected to the martial art is, is transferable to other areas of life. But now with the noise and the YouTube and people talking about this stuff, the kids, I wonder if they getting the Send, they're actually embodying it
19:27
and getting it because we're like, I'm nearly 30 you're 31 or whatever. Like, maybe that's the 31 Yes, Anyone? Anyone? Yeah, maybe we just can't because we're all older. It's like we're saying to Adam and Simon yesterday, the the idea of going and doing you 12 now, I reckon I'd be pretty good.
19:48
Cause he would do you, you would hope you're good. Yeah. He would hope you
19:52
You're good. Do you reckon you would How do you think you would pass like bragging
19:59
I mean, It's I think it's like
20:04
we would do 97 Yeah, I mean, you're you're the one who's just finished not not that far
20:09
as a dumb question
20:10
now. You'd be fine you'd, you'd both reckon you'd both get above 70 and the arrogance on this
20:17
about 70 so what would the
20:20
tower or 70% on it? I mean it's get it gets you get by the 70s
20:25
of course it but I I remember thinking not long ago it's like now is the time I'd be best for uni not straight out of school yeah why to restless and dilemma shit sorted and
20:37
what would you study if you had to take a degree right now? Open Universities decided to sponsor us What is it? What did I do open university so it's like digital way of of learning. So it's like you could I can Deacon or something like that. You could say I'm going to sign up for their Bachelor of whatever online it's all online and
20:57
I wouldn't want that.
20:59
You want to go I want the whole college experience.
21:03
Right? Yeah,
21:04
no Craig Harper amides going back to get his doctorate. Yes. Which is he's on the ground. Yeah, he's there. He's so you like the I didn't think like, if money wasn't an issue, and you didn't have to do anything other than study, I think I could commit myself to doing it. In terms of what I would do, we did some video work with one of our clients Bond Street Dental. I think dentistry
21:32
right? back
21:34
What do you think 97 I don't know about that.
21:36
It was this conversation about what the fuck we're going to be good at or what you just want to do
21:40
you want to look in people's mouths what what is the teeth and cavities and
21:45
I just I just like Brent. Name i like i like the guys and I was
21:50
gonna say because I didn't want to throw you under the bus but
21:53
I like them because there's this part of it where it's like
21:57
the high end dentistry.
21:58
Yeah, open the mouth, and the Get into it. Yeah, I get into high end dentist. Promising cosmetic shade to be honest. Yeah,
22:04
well that I think you would have to Yeah. Yeah, like I could imagine you as a cop, cop COP is Yeah, I was gonna say cosmetic surgeon but do we think that's getting around it? Yeah
22:17
definitely what would you do 97?
22:21
Probably, maybe somebody can sports it? Oh yeah, maybe not not physio but more of a holistic health thing
22:31
that I literally better work experience with that and can I get maybe a kinesiologist?
22:37
movement? Yeah.
22:40
So what would you what would day to day being that?
22:44
I want to get the job or like what
22:46
do you think What are you doing? I think it'd be learning about muscle groups, energy systems, that sort of stuff sells energy systems. What does that mean? You've got like, what does it pay in?
23:01
triphosphate it's like when you muscle tracks it,
23:05
you've got another one having tears and not lazy and I don't know, you've got these the way the way that your body uses energy and your muscles use energy and stuff and
23:15
yeah, I mean I've got no idea about it but it's just you pick up like loose concepts from very reading about it. Oh, it's because you're into the fitness stuff like I think about I think everybody when they going through something hard if they trying to build something has a thought about the job you kind of resort to
23:31
That's why every that's why the fitness industry so big, I mean, everyone's been telling Pete it's like, oh my god, I love going to the gym. Yeah, it's like, hey, Sally. didn't used to go here. Yeah, working out doing a sign up, back off.
23:43
Yeah, yeah, man. I mean, I be in the fitness industry. That's why I did it. Because I was like, I like kickboxing. I like doing this and I care about health and helping people do it. And it's a transition. It's just the thing that's really popular because it's super easy to get into
23:58
and so would you So 97 if you were actually offered by one of these online training, sort of companies, and they would give you a bachelor's, a bachelor's degree of something free of charge, there's no you know, debt. More expensive
24:17
it more incentive for him.
24:20
I don't want to just study it. Yeah, I want to study what,
24:23
get it you get the certificate at the end. It's not a
24:26
big enough draw card. I think it's like, what would you do if you got paid to go back and study because then it's a real incentive.
24:32
You actually enjoy as both of you guys if Open University came to you? I wouldn't do it. You wouldn't do it now. I think I would. What would you do? Maybe
24:45
International.
24:48
Yeah, maybe maybe something on
24:51
what's a cold but international politics or global politics into what? international National Fair is maybe
25:02
what journalism imagined the journalism thing.
25:06
International Relations is.
25:09
We're running a university course here. I think with what we've created in
25:13
anti terrorism
25:15
get a real nice degree
25:16
psychology would be interested in psychology.
25:19
Yeah, that's a good one as social psychology, sociology, there's
25:24
a difference between sociology concepts that you have to do like you have to learn about. I'd rather learn about like the structure of the brain more like you are on your science sort of stuff. And then a little bit of psychology you wonder like a Sam Harris. Yeah, a little bit. I mean, I look at like, Jace from the coconut crew. His psychology degree is horrendous. Why? Just the stuff that he has to do he, they've got to like, one of his assignments was to observe people on a bus, or you do that every day. Yeah, but he had to, he had to go up and like talk to them and stuff on the bus. Yeah. And like I it'd be like eye contact and like Could I do
26:03
a pickup corps?
26:05
token a chick?
26:07
Yeah, but you have to like it's you have to do like a study or whatever and you have to like write down how many people like look at you and it's yeah
26:15
I mean we're doing projects I think that's where it's like if you are unique you are unique degree was setting ourselves little projects and creating them building geek into what is it? What was it Melvin? Gail BKK and building building Melbourne gate
26:30
I just think it'd be something fun. I because I've never liked it in may be doing something around
26:38
writing stuff, but it's probably a lot of work, how many hours a
26:41
lot of work and you got to find the discipline for it. So that's what I take my hat off to anyone to get through these gorgeous, that has the discipline, to study, show up, deliver the work,
26:51
because there's no point doing it unless you actually develop if they're just if it's tokenistic. I hear these like, radio ads where they're like, we can give you Like credits based on stuff that you've done and at that point it's just like ticking boxes and not actually doing shit.
27:07
Which is then questioning the whole degree system. Outside of things like doctor and physios car. Like I think there's a bunch of stuff you need a degree in business. There's plenty. I haven't done it. Friend of mine. Finance. Finance dry.
27:24
Yes, sir but yeah, so this is this is just one like a unit unit that'd be quite dry. Okay. Did you economics in school? No, no 36 hours contact awake now that's for one semester
27:39
was and that's not even that's not much but online I homework as well.
27:45
36 hours in class and then you know that like we do
27:49
38 hours here awake. None of it then your job, but this is per semester. Yeah, that means that's fucking that's it an hour.
27:59
Yeah, that's it. I think
28:02
you're talking about the luxury of not having to do anything outside of what the contract out. I'm just saying it's doing that and have a family and work. Yeah,
28:09
it's less time than the simpson stuff.
28:12
It blows my mind and you can even stick it there.
28:16
I'm actually doing it but I'm just not.
28:19
Today, you're going to fill in your book, you're going to write the plot, are you gonna have to rewatch it again for a second time? re re watch. I think that the thing is, he hasn't answered it. So yeah,
28:29
no, no, I need to rewatch and the reason is, is because it's bad habits, just watching and not writing it down. bad habit. And so the thing that's difficult is it's an easy one to watch.
28:45
What about writing while watching? So you actually, you're on you're scrolling.
28:50
Now I might I'm using. I've got an moleskin notepad for it.
28:54
I know. So this morning when you did it without writing each Just watching. Yes. I mean, that's the beauty of the show. It's amazing. It just yeah,
29:03
it was good fun. But the other thing is I'm over the old episodes. I'm only watching the new stuff. So there's a few problems with it. Yeah. We we had a video that Matt D Avella made for us. Yeah,
29:16
homie Matt. So good.
29:18
He's really helping out a couple of groms.
29:21
Right. Colin Colin the big guns in the Navy to help.
29:25
Yes, I know he he created a video called the three year old. And we've been talking for the last year we were on his ground up show podcast where if you just type in imposter syndrome, Matt D. Avella. It'll come up. Yeah. We did a video back a year ago when we were in LA. And we've been talking in the past year and he's like when you guys come to LA next. Be great to do a video.
29:50
Yeah. And then we we only booked our trip. So three weeks before we decided it was a thing. Yeah. Before that we flew out.
29:59
And so there was a Few things developed with sort of coming up with a concept that would work well with what we're sort of all about. And he landed on this idea around our 10 years of plan of doing the shark
30:13
well before you met him. He Sorry, just when you met him, he didn't even have a YouTube channel. So I don't Did he tell you that he was doing? He was committing to a couple years of doing the YouTube channels that working and doing other client stuff.
30:27
I remember like vividly, it was like a hot hot day in Melbourne. We were walking around, and we're talking about heaps of things. One of the things which has been consistent, which I love, is he was always talking about this was just off the back of minimalism and designed disrupters, which was a documentary that he made with InVision, which is a company that for like website mockups, so sometimes you get an invasion link from a web designer, and you can click around. That's their product. Anyway, they commissioned him to do a feature film where he went around to the top tech companies. Like, like Google, interviewing all of their designers, but the one thing that he was saying back then was it's like, find people who have an existing audience who don't, who doesn't have the technical ability from a filmmaking point of view, and work together on something. And that's what he did with minimalism. And I heard him the other day, talking about that as well. But yeah, anyway, he, he just started that started YouTube couple of months after that had huge amounts of success. And yeah, so a few weeks ago, we were in LA, and we did a video with him.
31:38
Yeah, I mean, there's no assurity in finding success in committing to any of these things. That's a crazy bit too, right. So it's like, it's, it's, it's in vogue to say, stick to stuff. Yep. But then it's also the same on the same token, it's, it might not work.
31:58
Yeah, which was He started off with like 50 6070 years and he was trialing all different things. But I thought before we finish up, we should get 97 I was asking you before to go through the YouTube comments of that video so how many views is that video had? over 500,000 views? I think so. Yeah, yeah, we've gained 6000 subscribers from the from him generously pushing here. Like, subscribe and comment below. And sorry about our thumbnails. But
32:33
I'm Jocelyn friend of ours, quite successful in Australia, was watching him talk earlier in the week, and he became one of the biggest presenters on TV on one of the best shows the most sought after show to be an adventure host on a travel show the fact that he had to fly around the world. Everyone wants that job. And he remembers someone telling him like he there's high chance you won't get the job you want in one of the These courses were he was trying to be a presenter. But then he saying, you know, when I say there's no assurity of getting it, it's like someone has to get it there is someone out there walking around that will get it. They have just as much chance as you getting it and they just as talented. And they might get it. Well, I guess I don't know. They're gonna that's the point. No one knows if they're going to get it.
33:24
Well, we talked about it. And I remember a year ago, we would always say what if we're the exception? I think people who have a podcast like you could say, seven days a week, it's not going to work. What about if you're the exception?
33:34
Yeah. And so living as if you are the exception, doing the show as if you are the exception, because if it doesn't work, best, your best and there's a chance that being in that posture of we might we will be the exception that it could work.
33:52
97 questions comments, what are people saying on YouTube
33:55
comment? We got a comment from Mel. love how the talk show is filmed at different locations. makes it feel new every single time. So now we're back in the studio.
34:04
Different because it's the first time he's saying that, but you're gonna get real bored.
34:08
Orange bags says you guys inspired me. Thank you. I started my video even though no one is watching me. It's okay. I'll keep going and going. Good one. Go. Sam Sam Ellen says great way to finish the American trip boys hope the cheesy, cheesy buns don't come back to bite you during the flight that was in regards to in and out. And I mean, just on that. Lynn Janssen. I love you, Josh. And I'm very happy you're eating meat again.
34:39
That's my mom. So do you like
34:40
that snippet? I must have said she never says she loves me. But she says they may
34:45
do she
34:46
says I love you, john. No, but what I'm saying is in the video. I said she never says that. She loves me. Yes. And so that's the reason why she's
34:54
okay. Okay.
34:56
So she's she's playing into
34:59
it. Yeah. Yeah, inside in real life yeah. On industry does I made my day in a day
35:08
if she she said
35:13
anything else 97 one question.
35:15
One question.
35:17
One thing it was coming up someone was like are these these guys are just trust fund. Say that no idea but I wrote something I was like, Look, it's, we can all hide. Right We can all hide from the idea that the people who are doing things have a better off. But I think that a while ago I worked out that there were a few people who had way less resources, way less money, way less time and we're doing the things that I should have been doing. And I think that's what we can can look at Yeah,
35:50
hundred percent. I think also like I know about you trust founders. They know nothing. The one thing that you cannot take away from them is Some of them have a really great work ethic, because what they've seen is the guy, the girl who built the fucking empire that they're living off. And so they actually around high performance and so some like, it's not always just locked to be able to build a business. It's not always it's not always lacking like they
36:18
had a they've had a leg up.
36:21
But we Yeah, there's no legs up here, son.
36:22
Well, there's, we've got our own. We've got our own sort of privilege. And so I think I just don't know if it's cash.
36:29
But if it is, might give me access to that bank account. All
36:32
right. Anything else? Nice. The other one was he goes a capital. Ah, absolutely.
36:37
Yes. Potentially. We did do a
36:40
couple of what were a couple of gronk. Was that what it said? Did you realize if you're a couple cowboys in relation, yeah, yeah. We have a good relationship.
36:50
buted fan. We did his podcast
36:55
last week. Yeah. And he
36:58
I don't know how I ended up getting in. Sort of a metaphor, but it involved. You know, it's like I was saying that guests are saying, you know, the start was just Tommy and I was like we're a couple and we're sort of sexually exploring and now guess we're adding other people into
37:12
the bedroom. I mean, the only confusion could have been if they found us a little earlier. Was Josh and tommy.com which was the same sex couple that were getting married and that was their website. I own that. expired that we bought it. But now yeah,
37:29
hopefully the relationship goodbye.
37:30
Yeah. I mean, we've got it just in case we decide to get married. Well,
37:33
I guess you don't need it. Once you've had your wedding. You don't need the register registry thing anymore.
37:38
What signs do we give off that we're a couple because I we don't even need to answer whether we are and
37:44
you know, we're not just bickering. I don't know. Is it potentially also maybe like maybe being Australian or whatever you give off different vibes to know anyway, today's talk show.
