At a glance

From this episode’s transcript.

  • –The teamu2019s elaborate prank on Josh (fake Spotify copyright call, hidden GoPro) failed because Josh noticed the GoPro, read George's odd behaviour, and has a phone setting that silences unknown numbers.
  • –Tommy says a good prank requires no lies once the target is onto it, criticizing his own move of tipping Josh off to try to salvage the bit.
  • –Josh's method for resisting phone scams/pranks is to text back asking for official verification (e.g., an email) rather than engaging on the call.
  • –Tommy recounts nearly swallowing a roughly 1.5cm glass shard from a pint glass his dad had broken and not fully cleaned up.
  • –The Quadriga cryptocurrency exchange founder's death left $190 million (Canadian) inaccessible, fueling online conspiracy theories about a faked death.

Questions this episode answers

Why did the prank on Josh Janssen fail in episode 786?

Josh spotted a hidden GoPro in the office and noticed producer George Martin acting strangely, which tipped him off before the fake 'Spotify copyright strike' phone call prank could land. He also has a phone setting that sends unknown numbers straight to voicemail, so the planned prank calls never got through.

What happened with Tommy Jackett and a piece of glass?

At a family dinner before a Melbourne lockdown, Tommy drank from a glass his dad had broken and not fully cleaned up; he nearly swallowed a roughly 1.5cm by 1cm shard of glass he found in his mouth after finishing his drink.

What was the Quadriga Bitcoin exchange story discussed on the show?

Josh and Mason discuss how the founder of the Quadriga crypto exchange died (reportedly of Crohn's disease complications while in India) holding the only access keys to roughly $190 million (or ~$143 million USD) in customer cryptocurrency, leaving over 115,000 customers unable to recover funds, with online speculation that the death was faked.

Tommy: The Daily Talk Show.

0:04

Josh: It's The Daily Talk Show, episode 786.

0:08

Tommy: Happy Fat Friday, Gronks. Happy World Kebab Day. There's nothing more precious than my child, or when kebab day falls on a Fat Friday because we've got ourselves some kebabs here.

0:23

Josh: Smells good.

0:24

Mason: I think, sorry, JB's just actually got a bone to pick with today.

0:28

Tommy: What's your bone to pick?

0:29

George: Just before we went live, I was like, I'm just gonna, Google International Kebab Day because I threw it out there a couple of days ago. I said, oh, it's Friday, World Kebab Day.

0:38

Josh: Yep.

0:39

George: Didn't actually look into it.

0:40

Tommy: Yeah.

0:41

George: So, I just Googled it and the first thing that comes up is happy 14th of July, World Kebab Day.

0:47

Tommy: Mate, I messaged Hayden Dibb yesterday, who is a kebab specialist.

0:52

George: Yeah.

0:52

Tommy: Calls himself a filmmaker. I call him the kebab specialist. He said the same thing. And then type in World Kebab Day 2020. And what comes up?

1:02

George: Well, interestingly, so Turkish Airlines, it said 14th of July, and then you scroll down a bit and it does say 10th of July. Scroll a bit further down, 2019, it was the 12th of July. So, it changes.

1:14

Josh: So, all of these days are made up anyway.

1:17

Tommy: I don't know. It's not like we're saying—

1:18

Mason: It's a good excuse to eat a kebab.

1:20

Josh: Yeah. I'm going to do what I was going to say, too.

1:22

Tommy: It's like the 4th of July when America was founded. They're not— changing that day. Yeah, it's real. Yeah, this is a kebab day, so stop looking into it so much. I'm hungry. Uh, can I just tell you something? I— so I had the sort of last supper with mum and dad on, um, what was it, Tuesday night? Tuesday night before Wednesday lockdown. Not meant to be able to see them in 6 weeks.

1:42

Josh: What'd you eat?

1:43

Tommy: We're not going to see them. Fish and chips.

1:45

Josh: Where from?

1:45

Tommy: Good call. Local fish and chips shop, old school, you know, your potato cakes, your fried scallops, your fried fish. Um, order. They messed up, didn't put 2 pieces of fish in the pack, which was very frustrating. But then I had a glass of beer, and glass from you, my brother. My brother had some beer and he chopped me out, gave me a little glass. I got to the final sip and I just went, and I was like, what's this? I swallowed the, the liquid and From the back of my throat, I somehow manoeuvred this thing that was in my mouth, and I take it out, and it's a massive shard of glass. Oh, it was—

2:29

Mason: oh my God, huge.

2:30

Tommy: Like, I almost swallowed it. It was, uh, at least 1.5 centimetres by 1 centimeter. It was like this sort of— it was like a perfect bro break. And I said, oh my God. Mum said, is that— got a green tinge to it? And then she looks at my dad and says, oh, you didn't clean it all up. He broke a glass and it fell into the drawer where the glasses are, and he'd vacuumed up everything else.

2:56

Josh: Could have been the Last Supper. Imagine if that would have been— You guys okay with your foil? No, that's me.

3:01

Tommy: What would I do if I swallowed a piece of glass? What do you do?

3:05

George: Like, because you can't eat glass. No, you can't eat glass.

3:07

Josh: Can't you?

3:08

Mason: No, not— How big was the shard? You said it like—

3:11

Josh: Yeah, real men eat glass.

3:13

George: What's his name? Who's the, um, He's the magician kind of guy who gets you to, uh, grind.

3:20

Mason: Dynamo.

3:20

Tommy: I've seen that guy.

3:21

George: Yeah, he's like a mentalist. Um, blanked on his name. He's got Netflix.

3:25

Tommy: The other guy. Yeah, The Push. He's awesome.

3:30

George: He's great. Oh, uh, uh, Darren Brown. Darren.

3:33

Tommy: Darren Brown. Darren.

3:34

George: Darren Brown. He was on— oh, this is annoying, I can't think of names. Joe Rogan. No, no, it was the British talk show host.

3:42

Josh: Uh, Graham Norton.

3:43

George: Corden. He was on his show and he talked him through this thing. It's like, you know, getting mind over matter type stuff. And he, um, he got him to bite into a light bulb and smash the light bulb, and he ended up eating some glass. James Corden.

4:01

Tommy: You know the classic, uh, onstage theatre performance, someone bottles someone? Toffee bottle. Like it's made of sugar glass. So you can eat that. And almost—

4:12

George: That's probably not ideal.

4:13

Tommy: So you think he's legit saying it's real glass and you're eating it?

4:17

George: Apparently, because James brought in the light bulb from home.

4:19

Tommy: Smashed it up. Okay, now that's— I mean, TV is always truthful. That's the one thing I've always learned.

4:25

Josh: Yeah. I have a bone to pick.

4:28

George: This is ridiculous.

4:28

Mason: Here we go. Well, so it's not out of the sofa.

4:32

Josh: No, no, no. I, um. Now, before we started the show, uh, we had Toni Lodge in for a meeting, and as she was leaving—

4:40

Tommy: uh, can you cut to you so I can eat?

4:42

Josh: Yeah, sure. Um, thanks. No, I was— um, fuck, the foil is very loud, guys. It's annoying me. We good?

4:52

Mason: We're good.

4:53

Josh: Um, no, so as Toni was leaving, 97 was whispering stuff to her. Which made me uncomfortable. Like, what is he whispering? Like, there's only the only creepy. Yeah, but it was also like there's something in this around a prank or a content or whatever. But I was like, well, it was just a strange thing to happen. Then as I was going to the toilet, I saw a GoPro sitting on the shelf and the, the red light in the toilet was not in. No, no, no. It was outside the toilet. It was just sitting on the shelf and I didn't mention it. But as I went into the toilet, I was thinking, I'm like, what's, what's this stitch-up going to be? There's going to be a megaphone. There's going to be something, right? So then I get out of the toilet and I'm like trying not to smile. I'm like, something's about to fucking happen. I'm a bit pissed off about it because I don't know what it is. And so I sit on the couch outside the toilet once I've been. And I had 3 missed calls, right? I'm like, I wonder if this is connected. And I'm like, George is looking a bit sus. And so, all I said was, I'm like, yeah, I've just had 3 missed calls. And the reason I said it was because normally if I said that, George wouldn't say anything. It's not something that you would respond to. And then George fumbly was like, oh, I don't know, that's weird. Wonder what that is.

6:23

Tommy: And I was like—

6:23

George: Call him back.

6:25

Josh: And so, I was like—

6:26

George: And then Jess said, it's probably a telemarketer. And then you read out the number and I said, why would a telemarketer be calling you from a mobile number?

6:34

Josh: And so, the thing is also, either—

6:36

Mason: What would have happened either way? Like, what if George didn't say anything?

6:41

Josh: What do you mean?

6:41

Mason: Because I just feel like you would be the person to be like, yeah, definitely. Like, there's still something happening.

6:47

George: Yeah.

6:47

Mason: Even if George doesn't say anything.

6:49

Josh: But there was definitely— So, George really showed his cards then. When he did that, that pissed me off. Then Tommy called me. I was like, I reckon he's trying to just get to see if I'm answering the phone. I thought you were maybe in on it. And then there was nothing.

7:01

Tommy: I was getting kebabs.

7:02

Josh: And so then I come downstairs and I just— I hadn't told George about the GoPro. I just grabbed the GoPro and just put it on his desk. I say, there's your GoPro.

7:14

Tommy: What did he say?

7:16

Josh: Oh, what the—

7:16

Tommy: What's that?

7:19

George: The GoPro has been sitting up there for like 3 days.

7:22

Josh: And so then I'm like, okay, has it? It's been there for 3 days. So then I'm like, it feels warm.

7:29

George: It's a hot room. Heat has been on all day.

7:31

Tommy: And so it was left on last night.

7:33

Josh: And I saw the—

7:34

Mason: I saw the—

7:35

Josh: I saw the red, um, I saw the red light that had been flashing. It wasn't at that point. And so then I just went through, went to the thing, and then saw that there was footage that had just been taken. How do you explain that? What is the— what is the stitch-up?

7:50

Tommy: So is this where you're up to? Because I haven't been here. Is this—

7:53

Josh: This is all I know. I haven't— Is it related to the phone?

7:58

George: I have no idea. I don't know what the phone call was. I feel like I'm getting stitched up here.

8:06

Josh: Is there something that you need to tell me?

8:08

George: No, there's nothing.

8:09

Josh: Let's be honest. Is there anything? Is there actually anything?

8:12

George: No. What would I be— I haven't— This is what— This was going to be my worry. I was like, You're going to bring it up on the show. I've got nothing to talk about. She's going to be denial central.

8:20

Josh: So was it you? So '97, you actually, you were talking to Toni.

8:26

George: Uh-huh.

8:27

Josh: Why? What were you whispering to Toni when she left?

8:30

Mason: When we were outside the building?

8:31

Josh: No, before that. Before you went outside the building with her, you were standing near the door and you were saying, like, what were you whispering to her?

8:42

Mason: I wasn't whispering.

8:43

Josh: You were. What were you saying?

8:44

George: You were in the bathroom.

8:46

Josh: No, that was before I went in the bathroom. I was just watching from a distance. You didn't think I could see you. What were you whispering to her?

8:53

Mason: What do you mean?

8:55

Josh: It's pissing me off.

8:58

Tommy: Did you whisper something or did you not?

8:59

Mason: No, I was just talking to her.

9:01

Tommy: Why was it a whisper? So, you said something.

9:03

Josh: What were you saying to her?

9:05

Mason: She literally just had a message on her phone. It was like it was just an Instagram notification.

9:09

Tommy: Are you saying, Tony?

9:11

Mason: This is it.

9:12

Josh: This is it. And so, anyway, I don't know what it is.

9:16

George: Well, you reckon you can't get pranked. I reckon you can. And I'm pumped. If this was real, I'm pumped for whatever it is to come out and—

9:25

Mason: To eventuate.

9:27

Josh: Yeah.

9:27

George: I would love to get pranked in this office.

9:28

Josh: I'm waiting. I would love to be. But as I said to you, I'm like, and this happened in radio a lot, you would, like, I know, like I had actually got a pen, a secret pen that had a camera on it. And we used to use that for pranking. So you put it in a, um, a, uh, video pen. Yeah, a video pen. Swan Security made them. Yeah, in Port Melbourne.

9:51

Tommy: I'm, I'm, um, I'm making an executive decision right now. Let's tell them. I called Josh and told them exactly what you fuckheads were up to and how much you blew it. And I was trying to save your dumb little prank the only way that it could have possibly been saved and he didn't want to play ball. So I called Josh and said, the guys are trying to prank you about Spotify.

10:16

Josh: So before, before that, so I—

10:19

Tommy: lying little shit. I don't like this. I don't like the lie because you guys think you can come back and get Josh. Absolutely no chance. You ruined the only chance you had. So I thought I could save it by saying— so the prank was that Josh— so Hump Day Replay has been taken off Spotify based on a a song that was used in a trailer that we— it was all legal.

10:42

Josh: We did it. We put up a trailer that was music only. You can't have music only on Spotify. It was me.

10:49

Tommy: As in Josh did. But the— it was a great idea that someone was going to prank call Josh and say that it was, hi, it's Helen from Spotify, and just letting you know the podcast cannot be put back up there because Josh has been pushing to have it put back up. The— I was trying to just flip it to get something out of it because you guys—

11:08

Josh: Well, so how did you know? Because I was sitting on the couch.

11:11

Tommy: I didn't have— I was trying to help film it, but I wouldn't have done that. Mason asking you, are you going to the toilet? Yeah, yeah, it was like you—

11:21

Josh: That's why I thought you both butchered it.

11:23

Tommy: And so my plan was to get Josh to react, answer the phone for the prank to actually happen, but Josh lose it so bad that he's flipping shit and yelling down, like, make it like—

11:36

George: That would have been quite funny.

11:36

Tommy: The back prank. But he didn't want to do it.

11:38

Josh: The pantomime. I said, I don't do pantomime. I'm like, you know what?

11:41

Tommy: But you do. You do do pantomime.

11:42

Josh: I've never done pantomime.

11:43

Tommy: The guy that rocks up with the megaphone to train people. It's acting.

11:48

Josh: My thing is that I'm not going to reward bad pranking. And so why did you—

11:54

Tommy: That's why I'm not rewarding.

11:55

Josh: So why did you call?

11:56

Tommy: I was trying to save it.

11:57

Josh: Why did you call me? Did you— Did George—

12:00

George: No, no.

12:00

Josh: But did George tell you that I was on to them?

12:03

Tommy: I knew that I could see it before I left that you were on to me.

12:06

Josh: Did you? Because I think—

12:07

Tommy: Jess messaged me and said he's on to her.

12:09

Josh: But I think that George must have texted you as well, did he?

12:12

George: No.

12:13

Josh: Because I heard you were texting straight after I told you that. So I was like, you're communicating something.

12:20

Tommy: Anyway, you couldn't get pranked. Yeah, this is ridiculous. And I think that if I was spearheading it, it would have worked.

12:27

Mason: The thing is, no. To be honest, phone calls and Josh never work.

12:33

Tommy: So you got 3 calls yesterday, which it could have worked yesterday because you— but you don't answer.

12:38

Josh: Was it you guys yesterday?

12:40

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, it was.

12:40

Josh: Really? Those 3 calls?

12:42

Mason: Yep.

12:42

Josh: You fuckers. Whose number is that?

12:44

Tommy: But Josh spent 20 minutes trying to— so he Googles the number, he starts thinking about who it could be, who it could be, where's that number from? And then he asked me to put it into my phone to see if the number's in my phone. Which is a good hustle just because it may be someone that he knows.

13:02

Josh: Whose number is it?

13:03

George: I don't know.

13:06

Mason: This is so annoying.

13:07

Tommy: Let the little liars get you.

13:08

Mason: This is so annoying because you never pick up your phone. So we went through firstly Paris from Jason PJ.

13:15

George: Yeah.

13:17

Mason: And then you never picked up.

13:19

Josh: Of course.

13:20

Mason: And she actually used her boyfriend's phone to do it because we weren't sure if she was in your contacts or not. Yeah.

13:26

Josh: Okay.

13:27

Mason: And then we got Tony to do it.

13:30

Josh: Yes.

13:31

Mason: And so we've probably called you a total of 6 to 8 times.

13:36

Josh: It would go straight to voicemail.

13:37

Mason: And it's gone straight to voicemail and you just haven't picked up. So I guess the learning is never call Josh.

13:43

George: Never call. No wonder we don't have any jobs.

13:48

Josh: That's what Jess is for. She answers the phone.

13:51

Tommy: Yeah.

13:51

Josh: Yeah.

13:52

Mason: Well, so, and yeah, slightly annoying. It was, it was a good idea, but shit execution.

13:57

George: It was such a good idea. It would have been great.

13:59

Josh: But the perfect thing was before I revealed to George that there was the GoPro, I think that this is something in social engineering. It's focusing on something else that's not the GoPro as the reason. So, rather than being like, hey, there's a GoPro here. Why? Like, what the fuck is this? I said, George, you're acting funny. I'm like, why are you acting funny for? And then you're like, well, I'm not acting funny. I said, you're acting funny. What are you like? You're being weird. Like, you're not being your normal self.

14:30

George: Yeah.

14:30

Josh: Why are you doing that? Which, to be honest, he was— he wasn't doing anything that strange. But then as soon as I did that, that freaked him the fuck out that I was reading him so well.

14:41

Tommy: But they also were— that I could tell they're acting strange because I knew they were acting strange.

14:46

Josh: Yeah. And so as soon as you see it, as soon as you connect to the dots, you're like, okay, Yeah, this is unusual. And so the brilliance of then saying, you're acting strange. And then for me a minute later to grab the GoPro and put it on his desk. Did it rattle you?

15:02

George: I mean, a little bit, but I thought I was quite a good actor. And then you said you're a bad actor and that really hurt. That killed me.

15:07

Tommy: So I am. When I was at KISS, I scared a bunch of people, but I built, I put a bit more effort into it. I got a tissue box. And then cut a hole, like, spent a bunch of time like getting the right size for the lens, pushed it up, no, not far enough, had to sort of push it out a bit. You got to put in a bit more effort if you want to get someone like Josh.

15:28

George: We had the— Paris was calling you at 9:45 yesterday. We're like, he'll be in the office at 9:45.

15:37

Mason: Yeah.

15:37

George: So lazy, he didn't get in the office till 10:30.

15:40

Josh: He's working from home.

15:41

Tommy: But then you got to think Further down the track, Josh, there could have been like a late night one that's on American time. That's somehow on a private, you could have answered. I don't know. You just had to try a bunch more.

15:55

George: And so, Paris, we're like, okay, well, he's definitely got Paris's number. He's definitely not going to answer private.

16:01

Josh: I'm actually really terrible at adding people's phone to my contact, like numbers to my contact. So, I wouldn't have.

16:05

George: Okay. Well, he won't answer a private number, so we can't do private. We need Paris to film her end of it. So, she needs another phone. So, she took her boyfriend's phone and used her phone to— She was going to use her phone to film. And so, she was calling you off her boyfriend's number.

16:23

Mason: It was all a bit much, to be honest.

16:25

Josh: So, what would have happened? I'll tell you why this would have never worked.

16:28

Mason: Here we go.

16:29

Josh: Because— So, say, for instance, the one thing I was going to do, which I didn't get to. Was the next thing was to text. So, I have a do not disturb that if you are, if you contact me and I don't have you on my phone, it automatically goes to voicemail.

16:46

Tommy: Fuck, I didn't know that.

16:47

Josh: Yeah. So, I don't want to, actually didn't know that was the case. I thought it was only private numbers.

16:51

Mason: Me too.

16:52

Tommy: That's what I thought.

16:52

Josh: Yeah. And but any number that is like those numbers, the 3 times you called, it just didn't ring.

16:57

George: That's ridiculous. Why do you have that?

16:58

Tommy: It's so ridiculous. If you like, I would have a problem if I had a staff member that did that.

17:04

Josh: Like, we have a business partner that does it, so it's a bit different.

17:07

Tommy: Yeah, I know, but it's why I can't— it's harder to complain about.

17:10

Josh: And so anyway, why it wouldn't work was because— and I think that this is important, I think that this is more about trying not to get scammed or socially engineered— because for you to make that work, I would have at the most texted and said, hey, who's this? They would have then had to say, hey, this is so-and-so from Spotify, was contacting in regards to blah blah. I probably at that point would have messaged back and say, hey, I'm in a meeting, what's the, um, what's the latest information? Can you email me? And so I don't think you ever can get a phone prank to work on me, unfortunately. I've told you I have said that Hump Day Replay could do phone pranks. I'm pretty sure I've given you ideas around phone pranks.

18:01

George: Terrible ones.

18:01

Josh: Yeah. What was the prank ideas that I've had?

18:03

George: Calling Sev's and being like, hey, it's the blind guy.

18:07

Mason: That's right.

18:08

Josh: That was your blinds.

18:09

George: Yeah, the blinds.

18:10

Tommy: Not the visually impaired person.

18:11

George: The guy who's going to install the blinds. Did they get done? We can't install your blinds till after the 26th of June.

18:18

Josh: When Grace was coming.

18:19

George: Not a bad idea, actually. It would have been quite funny.

18:21

Tommy: Yeah.

18:21

Josh: And I feel like that would be a lot easier than what you were trying to put, like, I don't think you should pull stuff.

18:26

Tommy: Jesse's upstairs and she's just written on Slack, Tommy, what the fuck? Sorry, but I don't know how you guys were thinking you were going to work back from that. It's done. Yeah, the joke is done.

18:37

Mason: Yeah, definitely.

18:37

Josh: No, Jess was a very good liar.

18:40

Tommy: Well, I mean, I reckon she'd probably tell you the truth if you really grilled her, unlike these.

18:44

George: Well, I wanted to talk about all this stuff.

18:46

Mason: Yeah, I was, I was, I wasn't going to do anything. Yeah, I mean, here you go, just play the grab, George. You'll be on the show, play the grab.

18:53

Josh: No, don't play the grab. They're, um, I'll play this grab.

18:56

George: Play this grab.

18:56

Mason: Yeah, that's what I mean.

18:58

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

18:58

Josh: I was gonna say, I was, I wasn't gonna, I wasn't going to dob TJ in because I felt sort of like partner relations.

19:06

Tommy: It's like the only reason I brought it up is because they, they're lying to you directly, mate. What's the prank if it's to be honest?

19:13

Mason: No, but we actually, by the way, we do need to cheque the emails just to cheque if we've got anything back from Spotify because I did set a filter to hide it from coming into the inbox.

19:23

Tommy: Good hustle.

19:24

Josh: When did you do that? Because I've emailed them 3 times.

19:26

Mason: No, I did it too. I've got a bit of another— thanks, mate. Um, probably 2 days ago.

19:31

Tommy: Yeah, but I—

19:32

Mason: so I can cheque for you.

19:34

Tommy: I'm all good for a good prank is needing no lies. So like, no lies once they're on to it. I hadn't finished my sentence. It doesn't need like You shouldn't be lying once they're onto it.

19:49

Mason: Yeah.

19:49

Tommy: Like to the extent that Josh was. This isn't, this isn't him just saying, like, why have you left the GoPro downstairs? Just because that's not where it lives. You were onto it, just like sniffing a rat. Look at you all.

20:03

Josh: What I should have, what you should have done, to be honest, is I think that what would have worked better, Mason takes a phone call. "Hello. Oh, yes. Yeah. Yeah, Hump Day replay. Uh-huh. No, the Daily Talk Show. Oh, yeah, that might be in regards to the email. No, that's not me. That's Josh. Is he on? Yeah, sure. Yeah, I'll pass on." And so, if you had done that in that moment—

20:34

Tommy: He's acting when he asks you, "Josh, are you going to the toilet?" Yeah.

20:39

Josh: Why did you need to know?

20:41

Mason: Well, because I need— I needed, I needed a way to whisper to ask Tony.

20:45

Josh: Yeah, and so is Tony disappointed now? Because what, is she waiting outside trying to—

20:50

Mason: No, she's got— No, she made 3 calls, you never picked up, so I'm just like, don't worry about it. Thank you.

20:55

Tommy: Yeah, yeah.

20:57

George: I'm so pissed off at this.

20:59

Tommy: What, that you failed?

21:01

Mason: Slightly.

21:01

Tommy: You guys failed.

21:02

George: It was such a good idea.

21:03

Josh: It was.

21:04

George: It would have been all right.

21:04

Josh: What were you gonna say?

21:06

Mason: Uh, hang on, let me just—

21:07

Josh: Have you got a script?

21:08

Mason: And I just had a couple of dot points, but it was, it was around just like Spotify's got a one-strike policy when it comes to using copyrighted content and breaching their violation, breaching their content policies. And so the fact that not only did we use copyrighted music in the— I mean, we didn't actually— We didn't, but this is from, this is from Spotify's perspective. You used music in the trailer and you've also copied copyrighted content from another podcast and included that in yours.

21:37

Josh: Being the Daily Talk Show?

21:38

George: Yep.

21:39

Mason: Yeah. And so, it's going to be taken off platform.

21:41

Josh: And so, you thought I was going to do a big blow up about it?

21:43

Mason: Well, you'd push it and I think I thought we could have got something to be like, no, no, no, one strike policy. Like, yeah. Yeah.

21:49

Tommy: I wish you'd played along, Josh, and just blew up.

21:53

Josh: Did you do any pranks with Candy?

21:57

Tommy: Candy was my co-host. Did I?

21:58

Josh: Or Stacey?

22:00

Tommy: Oh, I used to do creep cam. I would always just be—

22:03

Josh: creep cam was like, filmed her in the toilet.

22:06

Tommy: Nah, like she would be hilarious watching Offspring, like that, remember that TV show Offspring? But she would just be laughing her head off, like just, she had fun. It was just funny when you couldn't hear the show but you could just see her. So I'd film and then I'd dub over my voice of her in a dialogue, like it was, I made up her in the dialogue and It was funny, but that was, yeah, the scaring on April Fools was like, or Halloween, scared Simon Baggs at the KISS radio station. Shat himself.

22:37

Josh: Is there any pranks outside of content? Like if you don't have a podcast or a TikTok or something, I wonder how many people are doing pranks that aren't being filmed.

22:49

Tommy: Well, I mean, I used to do them, so Is this a prank? So taking a handful of flour and going into your housemate while he's having a shower and throwing—

23:00

Josh: You've done that?

23:01

Tommy: As he finishes his shower, so he's still wet and nude, and I'd go in and throw a handful of flour into the shower at Barzie, and he'd be covered in shower— He's covered in flour, sorry, and then he'd have to have a shower again.

23:13

Josh: Well, I don't think so. Kappa, Nick Kappa, has asked us to be on Phone Hacks. I don't think, I don't know if I'm ready for it.

23:20

Tommy: So, Phone Hacks, what's the premise is that you hand them over your phone and they get to— There's a bunch of games. Or Instagram post or Facebook.

23:30

Josh: Comment on something. Is that the idea, Jay Ben? That's what it is.

23:33

George: I don't listen, but yeah. Yeah.

23:35

Josh: Yeah.

23:36

Tommy: It's a worry because—

23:39

Josh: It's a good format. It's very clever.

23:41

Tommy: So clever.

23:41

Josh: But I don't know how I would go.

23:45

Tommy: What I'm worried about is something.

23:46

George: I mean, you don't have much of a profile.

23:49

Josh: Me?

23:49

George: What does that mean?

23:50

Tommy: I mean, it's people screenshotting shit, posting it later in your life.

23:54

Josh: Isn't that worse?

23:54

George: Like, I guess so. Yeah. Because if they do a Twitter status under Josh Janson.

23:59

Tommy: Yeah. Someone did something and they were like, aha, that's funny. It's phone hacks. But it wasn't.

24:03

Josh: It was your Facebook getting taken down.

24:06

Tommy: Oh, that's right. Someone said. Yeah, because I put out a post on my likes page. And I said, uh, you know, Facebook's gone. Someone said, aha, funny phone, phone hacks, which— that's not funny.

24:20

Josh: Maybe, um, how about next week I execute on a prank to one of you guys?

24:27

Tommy: Sure, go for it.

24:28

George: Please be me.

24:29

Tommy: Sure. I mean, that was quite elaborate. I have one that I want to do that we've spoken about on the previous show many years ago.

24:38

Josh: But I've only been doing it for 2 and a half.

24:40

Tommy: Many years ago. More than one year.

24:43

Josh: I actually, yeah. Can you tell us anything more?

24:46

Tommy: I can't tell you anything more, but I think I could action it. And it's not a prank, but it's a gotcha. You didn't know. Okay.

24:53

Josh: That's good. I actually last night went down a rabbit hole on YouTube watching old episodes of The Daily Talk Show.

25:04

Tommy: Just in your spare time?

25:06

Josh: Yeah, it's so weird.

25:07

Tommy: What year? 2018. Video of watching, so it has to be—

25:12

Mason: Many years ago.

25:13

Josh: It would have been 2018. Yeah.

25:15

Tommy: No, it was before you were here, Mason.

25:17

Mason: No, because you were watching videos, so it would have been 2019.

25:21

Josh: Yeah, it was when, yeah, Easy Street, just looking at all that, how we used to talk and—

25:27

Tommy: How was it?

25:28

Josh: Yeah, it was good fun.

25:30

Tommy: What's happened since?

25:31

Josh: I don't know. I just, I think I look good with hair. I'm gonna grow my hair back.

25:34

Tommy: Yeah, I always thought, I mean, that's why everyone was so shocked when you just had a Britney moment, got rid of it all.

25:42

Josh: Shaved, yeah.

25:43

Tommy: Yeah.

25:44

George: It's all right. Sorry, go, George. I was gonna say he made Jess watch the 3D DIL video yesterday.

25:50

Josh: I didn't make her, but I mean, it sounds like you made her.

25:53

George: You stood over her shoulder and said, watch this.

25:56

Josh: Yes.

25:56

Tommy: No, but may I not have a go?

25:57

Josh: Because Jess was asking about the squeegee. And so I actually, I took the squeegee keyring that's used for our storage, um, unit, and I gave her the keyring from that and put it on her keys. So she's now got a squeegee keyring.

26:14

Tommy: What about— there was a purpose it's used.

26:16

Mason: It's a little bit— we, we need to find something to replace.

26:19

Tommy: This fucking guy doesn't open, doesn't open the storage cabinet ever.

26:23

Josh: Why do you need it? But we just—

26:25

Mason: it's just to be really fucking silly.

26:27

Josh: What What's the point of key rings?

26:28

Mason: No, it's to find the key.

26:29

Tommy: They're gimmicky. Why'd you put it onto Jess's car keys?

26:32

Josh: Well, so then people are like, hey, what's the key ring? And she says, oh, that's the Daily Talk Show.

26:36

Tommy: We had it.

26:37

Mason: Also, I think I did hear Jess last night when she was walking out saying, I'm never going to use this.

26:42

George: Yeah. And she did tell me this morning it's so annoying to have it in her pocket.

26:44

Tommy: Yeah, no, no, I'm taking it back off because it's very purposeful.

26:47

Josh: Do you have one?

26:49

Tommy: Yeah, I can give her my one. It's somewhere.

26:51

Josh: No, but it says Tommy on it.

26:52

Tommy: But it's too big.

26:53

Josh: Maybe put your Tommy one on the storage thing so she can get the orange one.

26:57

Tommy: I don't know where it is. I've got to find it. I'll find it. Where's your one? On yours?

27:00

Josh: It's always on my— yeah, fuck, I've got an issue with losing my, um, keys.

27:07

George: Hoodie pocket, always, always, always, every day.

27:11

Josh: It's not in there now.

27:12

Tommy: Um, so people are getting scammed because of COVID some sort of scams. So CyberScooter, how to stay safe online. Uh, COVID-19 is the only pandemic we're suffering right now. Clearly our digital lives are under unprecedented attack. And the very thing that is meant to keep us safe from actual viruses, staying home, may be increasing our risk of digital infection. Oh God, they're hyperbolic, aren't they?

27:37

Mason: Um, news.com.au.

27:37

Tommy: Yeah, yeah. Scamwatch, run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, reports it has received more than 2,000 coronavirus-related scam reports, with more than 700,000 in reported losses since the outbreak of COVID-19. It's a lot of cash.

27:58

Josh: What sort of, um, what's happening?

28:01

Tommy: Oh, text message. So COVID Safe, I mean, you're getting a— so you're getting a text message and the number, where the number is, it says COVID Safe, capital C-O-V-I-D-S, and then A-F-E. We've issued a new communication regarding high-risk places to avoid in the next 14 days. And then it has a please visit communication.gov.au. Like, it's, it's pretty full-on.

28:28

Josh: I got one, uh, an email pretending to be Woolworths, but I knew straight away because they did it.

28:33

Tommy: That was Seb's.

28:35

Josh: You don't know, it's a bit annoying. But no, um, it had a capital W. That—

28:39

Mason: sorry, just quickly, that was the other, the other option was to spoof Spotify's email.

28:45

Josh: And how are we going to do that?

28:46

Mason: I, I mean, that's where— that's— I stopped there because I'm just like, that's illegal.

28:50

Josh: It's a lot of work, a lot of admin.

28:51

George: Yeah.

28:52

Josh: And so, have you ever nearly been scammed?

28:56

Tommy: No. Um, uh, Mike, Mike Santos told me that— so there's one going around for Shopify. No, yeah, maybe Shopify. Um, he had a Shopify site and he got an email saying renewing, and it looked really fucking legit. And obviously it's like, ah, may as well, end of the year. Then he worked out he was 2 months off the end date. But he was about to do it. He's like, dude, I nearly got scammed. So that kind of shit, it's— What sickos. I mean, you've really sort of disconnected between here and the victim at that point. Like, you just like— It's totally self-centered. Like, you know, it's sad, the people that can do it. But then it's like there's call centres over in, you know, Philippines that are full of people scamming. India, scamming. Like, but then you get to relate to their situation. It's like, they're in a third world country and it's hard for some of these people.

29:55

George: Yeah.

29:55

Tommy: The, um, bizarre— it's like a real fucking mental fuck.

30:00

Josh: Why?

30:01

Tommy: Just thinking about poor people so desperate that, you know, they're going to a job that they call a job to earn money by calling people through the phone. And so I could— I'm just trying to go at a human level. How do they feel? Yeah, they're probably not feeling like they're the biggest pieces of shit. There's all these people above them that are making money at scale. And, you know, we're only a few fucking— all it is is ideas that, you know, I was listening last night, like, what's the difference between good and bad people? Majority of people are good. It's, it's bad ideas that lead good people astray.

30:37

Josh: So you, so you could prank—

30:39

Tommy: well, you could— I mean, these guys are liars, they're con artists.

30:42

Josh: Yeah, you see how they bought into it?

30:44

George: The prank wasn't over.

30:45

Tommy: What were you doing?

30:46

George: That the lie I reckon we would have got him. No, that's why the lie happened.

30:51

Mason: That's a big—

30:52

Tommy: well, I got more respect for Josh. That's why I come out and tell you.

30:55

Mason: Yeah, I was just gonna wait.

30:56

George: Never working with you again.

30:58

Mason: Yeah, with me?

30:59

George: No, never working with TJ.

31:00

Tommy: You either tell me and give me the reins to take over, or you don't.

31:04

Josh: So you pissed— who are you more pissed off at, George?

31:07

Tommy: TJ. But I'm cool with that. It's my business. And I was thinking about It would have worked, I reckon. Yeah, I wish you did that.

31:17

Josh: I wish you— I wish. What would you have done? What was going to be your next plan?

31:23

George: Just calling you out of office hours.

31:26

Josh: But I still wouldn't have answered.

31:27

Tommy: Yeah, because he had something on his phone.

31:29

Mason: Yeah. So I would have probably tossed it in there, to be honest. That was the last ditch attempt.

31:35

Tommy: Tossed it in.

31:35

Mason: That was going to be the last.

31:36

Josh: Tossed it in, man.

31:38

Tommy: Like throwing in the towel.

31:39

Mason: I'm throwing in the towel.

31:40

George: Yeah.

31:40

Josh: So you were just going to give up anyway.

31:41

Mason: Yeah. And we'll just talk about how hard it is to prank you on the show and then Also, just when after you got off the call with Tommy, you did a great job acting and we got that on audio and video. So, that was awesome.

31:51

Josh: So, that was the other thing. As I was blowing up about being pranked, Seb is filming me with his phone. So, I'm just like, mate, it's putting it on. You can't.

32:02

Tommy: Don't see it as a loss, guys. Yeah, you lost. Yeah, yeah, that was bad. But come back. Like, you got to plan it out. It could be 3 months in planning that gets Josh.

32:13

George: Annoyingly, I deleted the footage. Off the GoPro.

32:16

Josh: Oh well, you would have seen, you would have seen a moment where I look directly at the GoPro. He's just eyeballing it. Oh look, it's pretty funny just thinking about you in the edit. Oh, you fucked attempt.

32:32

Tommy: It's all good, um, we'll get you next time.

32:33

Josh: Uh, the short doco things, you know, on YouTube. I watched another one, uh, Crypto Current. So yep, uh, there's a, um, there's a—

32:42

Mason: sorry, just quick, are these by specific people or is it just different channels? Random, just what's recommended to me on YouTube.

32:47

Josh: $190 million Canadian dollars, uh, lost in cryptocurrency.

32:55

Tommy: People forgot their key.

32:56

Josh: One guy, one man forgot the key, um, or he didn't forget the key, he died. And he was the, um, one of the main guys of one of those, um, what's it called, like a, uh, it's like a hot wallet. Type of deal, like a wallet where all the cryptos are held for other people.

33:18

Tommy: So yeah, so he ran a business, so $190 million of other people's money.

33:23

Josh: Yes.

33:24

Tommy: Okay, but he had the only— that's fucked. I mean, there's a real issue there. It's safe as shit, obviously, because you can't get it back. Facebook, I, um, when I got mine back, I went into the settings, sort of dug in harder than I ever had. Uh, if I pass away I've handed over permission for Amy.

33:41

Josh: That's nice.

33:42

Tommy: To make the decisions.

33:43

Josh: To make a little montage with the photos.

33:45

Tommy: Well, no, she can actually jump in and close it down if she wanted to.

33:48

Josh: Because they do like an in memoriam thing with the profiles. But no, so 190—

33:53

George: Do they really?

33:54

Josh: 190. Yes, they do. 190 million. Interestingly, he was going to India and he was on a honeymoon, I believe, and was also building a school while he was there. And he died of complications of Crohn's disease. However, you then— there's a big rabbit hole that you can go on, go in on Reddit around India being the hotspot for getting fake death certificates done. And so, a bunch of people, it's like, so, how did—

34:32

Tommy: Conspiracy.

34:33

Josh: Controversy. Conspiracy. Yeah, yeah, it's a conspiracy. It's a conspiracy. Yeah. Uh, this guy that they reckon— this, what is it called? What's the market? What's the thing called that it's the wallets? What's all they are?

34:47

Mason: Wallets, crypto wallets.

34:49

Josh: But what's the, the broader thing where they do the trading?

34:52

Tommy: Oh, oh, the technology. It's, um, no, no, it's not, um, you're not thinking blockchain?

34:57

Josh: Not blockchain.

34:58

Tommy: Um, cryptocurrency.

35:00

Josh: Can you look up this, the actual story, Mace?

35:02

Tommy: Bitcoin.

35:04

Josh: Have you found it or no?

35:05

Mason: No, I was actually just looking at other articles where Bitcoin had been stolen and there was $1.1 billion stolen in the first half of 2018.

35:12

Josh: And so anyway, the, um, yeah, people are saying, hey, I don't know if this guy's died, I think he's faked his own death. But, um, one of the weird things is, is it's like he only had all the details on this one computer, like a personal computer. So like, this, this isn't adding up. Interesting story, I thought.

35:30

Tommy: That's very annoying. And so, so remember that show back in the day, Unsolved Mysteries? And it was like late at night, like a real theme song that was like made you scared. I remember being a kid seeing it.

35:44

Josh: Was it on Nickelodeon?

35:45

Tommy: No, it was on free-to-air. My brother used to stay up and watch it. Is it a doco series? And now it's on Netflix.

35:50

George: Oh, it's the same one.

35:51

Tommy: So, they've redone a new series. And my brother was telling me about this one where it's just, it's all confusing, like that kind of shit where it's just like they still can't work it out. It's all scary.

36:02

Josh: Yeah. And so, mate, what's the deal?

36:04

Mason: So I was actually just looking at your— I'm one storey behind.

36:07

Josh: The 190. Yeah. So the 190. Yeah. 190 million.

36:10

Mason: 143 million.

36:12

George: Sorry.

36:13

Mason: From US. Yeah.

36:15

Josh: From Canadian.

36:16

Mason: Yeah. So he went to India. They've got Ernst Young., involved to oversee the search of the missing funds, unable to track down anything.

36:27

Josh: Um, what's the company called that he was part of, and what, what's the technology? It's like a—

36:33

Mason: Quadrata Bitcoin exchange.

36:34

Josh: Exchange. Thank you.

36:36

Mason: Um, yeah, he's unable to pay 115,000 customers, £148 million in Bitcoin and other crypto.

36:46

Josh: Oh, not ideal.

36:47

Mason: No.

36:48

Josh: Do you remember when crypto was on the way up?

36:51

Tommy: Yeah, what's it at now? What's, um, man, I, I— what's Bitcoin?

36:54

Mason: I was so close to buying into that hype as well, but mum wouldn't let me.

36:57

Josh: Really? Yeah. What, what year that you bought into this hype?

37:00

Mason: Oh, this, this is when it was under 2017.

37:03

Tommy: Under a grand?

37:03

Mason: Under a grand.

37:04

Tommy: I mean, there's no buying into fucking hype.

37:06

George: That—

37:06

Josh: well, it hit 20. Well, the thing is that, yeah, 20 grand.

37:08

Tommy: But my mates have made— like, Jimmy's made cash. He's, he's like, I'm not pulling it out. He got it— he was buying it at $800 at one point. And then he, my mate, bought a computer chair using Bitcoin, which is like a $10,000 chair at the end of the day. And so he said this was early days.

37:27

Mason: It's $13,000 for 1 Bitcoin at the moment.

37:29

George: Yeah, it got up to like $27,000 or something like that.

37:32

Tommy: Yeah, but I mean, that's if you bought, Mason, at $1,000.

37:35

Mason: Yeah.

37:35

Tommy: You're doing well.

37:36

Mason: It went up to $25,000.

37:37

George: This guy I went to school with, he was mining Bitcoin in year 9. Yeah, which was like, so what's that, early days, 2000, early, early days for like a cent each or something.

37:50

Tommy: And what do you have, how many users did he have?

37:52

Josh: So what is he doing now?

37:54

George: He sold them all like 3 years later and made like 3 grand. Yeah, he had like, he'd be 100 million bucks, I reckon.

38:05

Josh: It's a good story, it's a good story. I don't know how much I'd buy into it, but it's a good story, JB. We can't trust you.

38:11

Tommy: 50 mil, cut that in half, 25 mil.

38:13

Josh: So what are you guys going to do, uh, weekend, like, to be able to relax during COVID Have you guys got sort of at-home plans?

38:22

Tommy: Uh, oh, my parents gave Bodhi a new sort of like, uh, this is like a 3-level— it looks like a— it's a car park and it has like, you drop a car and it goes, goes around it. It's got a lift to take cars up.

38:36

Josh: So that's sick.

38:37

Tommy: Bodhi got a new Spider-Man.

38:38

Josh: Is it like a Lego, like, or a Hot Wheels thing?

38:40

Tommy: Like a Hot Wheels.

38:41

Josh: And, um, does it take Hot Wheels?

38:43

Tommy: It takes whatever wheels you can put on it, put in it. And so we've got all these random cars. Mum's gonna buy him a whole bunch of new cars, but she got given that, then we got given that.

38:52

Josh: Where did she get it from?

38:53

Tommy: She's got, um, friends that have kids that they grow out of all these toys and we get them. Sick. Bodie got a Spider-Man outfit, and so there's going to be a lot of Spider-Man Hot Wheels.

39:07

Josh: Action indoors, movies, any sort of plan? Like, are you going to plan it all out?

39:12

Tommy: No, tonight we've got, um, Friday night movie night and takeaway.

39:16

Josh: What's the movie? Or it's a movie takeaway. Good movie, good Aussie film.

39:20

Tommy: Frozen.

39:21

Josh: Do you like— I just cut to you guys, I thought GB would have laughed.

39:24

Mason: Yeah, no, you just get a little smile.

39:25

Tommy: Frozen. Frozen's tonight's film.

39:27

Mason: Oh, that's cool.

39:28

Tommy: It's good, it's a real good—

39:29

Josh: you were saying there was a behind-the-scenes Frozen doco or something.

39:32

Tommy: Oh, that That'd be interesting. There is, if you have Disney Plus, there's a bunch, there's some with Bob Iger and it's like looking at Disney.

39:41

Josh: Yeah.

39:42

Tommy: And they're talking about all of this shit. Like there's an animate, like there's all animator stories. They're just 5-minute little doco pieces. They're really good. Interesting. But that's it.

39:52

George: Yeah.

39:52

Josh: A lot of telly. What are you boys doing?

39:55

George: Just going to go for a couple of walks, I think. Just get out into the nature.

39:59

Josh: What's the deal with walks?

40:02

George: You can still do it if you're groups of 2, I believe.

40:06

Tommy: Or your family.

40:07

Mason: Or your family.

40:08

George: Yeah. So, just, I mean, our walks are just going around like Carlton Gardens and Eddie Gardens and that sort of thing.

40:16

Mason: So, could Grace and I go see another person?

40:20

Josh: Nah.

40:21

George: No.

40:21

Josh: Not allowed.

40:22

George: I don't think.

40:23

Tommy: You could be walking with your family together. But you and Grace—

40:26

Mason: But the family isn't allowed to see another person, correct?

40:30

Tommy: Because Grace lives at your house, you and your whole family plus Grace, who isn't directly related. That would be awkward.

40:38

Mason: I think they'd classify her in the family.

40:40

Tommy: Yeah, so she's the family. So you guys could all walk together, but you can't go and have two families. Twerp Andre.

40:45

Mason: Sure.

40:46

Tommy: You can't go and kickbox with your tops off.

40:48

Mason: Yeah, great. No, but we're doing, um, Once a week we're doing date nights.

40:54

Tommy: Oh, that's cute. Which, um, they're fresh, aren't they? Remember those days? Date nights.

41:00

Mason: Well, I mean, otherwise every night, yeah, days just roll over otherwise. Like, you gotta make something special. So we're doing date night, um, which we'll do like a— I think Saturday we're doing like a cheese board and a little platter and just making it all nice.

41:14

Josh: Just down.

41:14

Tommy: When's that?

41:15

Mason: Down at the beach house, Blake. Down in the den. Yeah. But and then— Where will you do it?

41:21

Tommy: Because you live at home. Where are you doing date night with your family home?

41:26

Mason: Yeah, I haven't gotten that far.

41:27

Josh: I'm guessing it's in your bedroom.

41:29

Tommy: Have you got a picnic rug?

41:30

Mason: Yeah, we got a picnic rug.

41:31

Tommy: Roll out a picnic rug in your bedroom. It's kind of cute.

41:34

George: Like, it's—

41:34

Mason: Yeah, no, that's a great idea.

41:35

Tommy: It's very cute.

41:36

Mason: That's a good idea.

41:37

Tommy: And then maybe put the TV on with Fire or you get a computer screen with a Fire on.

41:41

Josh: Use your laptop or something. Yep.

41:43

Mason: Yeah. And then we've also, we've got Disney+ to watch Hamilton, so.

41:48

Josh: Great.

41:49

Mason: Lots of other good films on there.

41:51

Josh: And then so you're getting— wait, so cheese, cheese, wine, or what do you like?

41:56

Mason: Uh, look, I'll probably go for a gin. Um, actually she brought over some gin for the family, so maybe we could use that.

42:03

George: Lovely.

42:04

Tommy: It sounds like it's, um, date night with the family.

42:08

Josh: Could it— do you think it could turn into that?

42:10

Mason: Nah, probably not. It'd just be us.

42:13

Tommy: Um, have you got a problem with mum coming down to your bedroom?

42:16

Mason: No, not really.

42:17

Tommy: Haven't had to think about my mum walking into just to my bedroom, full stop. Maybe it was just annoying before you had a girlfriend. Mum, get out my room.

42:25

Mason: I haven't had that.

42:28

Tommy: No, you've never— I mean, you've got a good relationship with your mum.

42:31

Mason: Yeah. And but it's also—

42:32

Josh: Did she start knocking? She used to knock, but now she—

42:35

Mason: She, yeah, she did. When I was, when I started FaceTiming Grace, she started knocking.

42:38

Tommy: That's so sweet.

42:40

Mason: Um, but now no one comes in.

42:42

Josh: Now there's hazmats. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's tape, you know.

42:44

Mason: I've actually, I've actually got a sensor at the top of the stairs, so I I get a notification when I'm barbed wire.

42:51

Tommy: Ah, well, it sounds like a loose weekend here in Victoria.

42:54

Mason: Yeah.

42:54

George: What about you, JJ?

42:56

Josh: I don't know yet. I'm sure enough I'm meant to go away. And so, I said that I want to disconnect, no phone.

43:03

Tommy: You said that before, but let's do it.

43:04

Josh: No, but I really, really want to do it.

43:06

George: It's got to be 100%.

43:07

Josh: I want to read a book. Yeah, don't try and prank me.

43:09

Tommy: You should do a picnic or something, not like pretend you're out in front of the fire.

43:14

Mason: You can move the bedding out.

43:15

Josh: Yeah, we are very— I think we're very good when it comes to like doing stuff that's surrounded around food, like having nice food and shit. I think it's probably—

43:23

Tommy: How about you go buy a tent and put it up in your living room?

43:26

Josh: Yeah, really annoying, I reckon. Now, there's probably something in— Yeah, I think there is something in the walks. I'm not completely sure what the deal— Like, my concern is not like a COVID aside, I can't be fucked with having heaps of people, like, Edinburgh Gardens has been crazy.

43:44

Mason: Yeah.

43:44

Josh: So, I can't be fucked with all the people.

43:46

Tommy: What about a river walk along from Dyte Falls?

43:50

Josh: Is it Dyte Falls?

43:51

George: Yeah.

43:51

Tommy: Yeah, you can. There's some rivers.

43:52

Josh: Okay, it would be real busy, but yeah, we could do something. Yeah, some sort of walk. But yeah, they've been very clear this time. When we had our week off '97, Bri and I went to the Dandenongs.

44:03

Tommy: Oh, yeah, we went to Peninsula. We weren't allowed to, but they didn't go fucking anywhere else.

44:07

Josh: They were pretty loose with it, but they've specifically said No driving 2 hours to go on a big bushwalk.

44:16

Tommy: So, but an hour, that's all. Neighbour told me a story. Friend had— was staying down in Sorrento, start of the week, had their nephew with them and took— the wife took the nephew back to the CBD to see the family, drop off the nephew and then come back to the husband. Left, dropped off the kid, couldn't get back to Sorrento because it wasn't their main residence. But they were down there before the lockdown happened and they still wasn't allowed through. So, they're being really strict.

44:49

Josh: That is full on, isn't it?

44:50

Mason: I wonder if you're allowed to drive an hour for a walk.

44:53

Tommy: No. No, that's exactly what happened.

44:55

Mason: But he said 2 hours, like what?

44:58

Tommy: Geez.

44:58

Mason: Half an hour.

44:58

Josh: You're the reason why.

44:59

Mason: No, no, no. It's a half an hour, 35, like what? So, are you not allowed to drive anywhere for a walk?

45:03

Josh: Don't leave your neighbourhood to go for a walk.

45:06

Mason: Okay. Leave your house, go for a walk.

45:06

Josh: If you have to take a car to go for a walk? The answer is no. I couldn't be more clear. Right, big ears.

45:16

George: Yeah.

45:16

Tommy: Okay.

45:17

Mason: No, that's fair.

45:19

George: All right.

45:19

Josh: It's a daily talk show, whether you're in Victoria or any other part of the world. Hope you're staying safe. I hope you are. You're doing well. And we'll see you tomorrow. We've got Ryan John on Saturday and then Ryan Shelton for Sunday. We'll see you then. Have a good one.

45:33

Tommy: See you guys.
