It's the daily Talk Show Episode 718 Georgie boy here going through all of the interviews from the 24 hour livestream. And this is a really good episode, two very funny people on the show, Max price and jack post.
Unknown Speaker 0:18
JACK comes in at the start, we pitch some ideas to him for a song he's gonna go and write. He then goes away and comes back at the end of the episode and performs his song. In the meantime, we have some great chats with Max about Kenny, and all things comedy so I hope you enjoy this one. This is Episode 719 with Max price and jack post. We have jack post and Max price. And we've got Georgia boy joining us as well.
Unknown Speaker 0:47
Max price First of all,
Unknown Speaker 0:50
how you going mate? How are things Max? going really good guys. I am so excited that you guys are doing this because I am all about the six eight
Unknown Speaker 1:00
Go seven is tomorrow. And
Unknown Speaker 1:06
by the way, don't go well. It's a weird time and I hope one of us ends up with a mullet like you, Max. Where'd you get that from?
Unknown Speaker 1:18
I got Cobra Kai. We just finished filming. Can you show him the tunnel 10 made me trim it back.
Unknown Speaker 1:26
I love is just one Friday night I shaved it off with some Audi dunk clippers. And I thought it was I don't think I'll just have a mount for the weekend. And I put it on Instagram and then a few people know as cheap as you think it is. And then it's been for four or five months now.
Unknown Speaker 1:45
Yeah, I think it looks good. That post there's already comment about Yeah, your beard made a Glen sang nice bead.
Unknown Speaker 1:54
Yeah, I'm going for just no grooming whatsoever during our selection.
Unknown Speaker 2:00
Gotta grind out the hair, um, growing out the beard. And
Unknown Speaker 2:05
everywhere else, what do you see? Okay?
Unknown Speaker 2:13
be slow like this is honestly this is already started with it with it like what Tommy's got, and this is a month and a half. So if
Unknown Speaker 2:22
Tommy's beard it was at Tommy speed
Unknown Speaker 2:27
and then work his way to what you've done. How does that happen?
Unknown Speaker 2:32
Well, actually, from where I'm sitting, this looks like a full beard, you know, because you know me that it's a bit patchy in areas but if I strategically put my head like this, you would never know.
Unknown Speaker 2:48
We had we had Pete Murray on the show who performed live and, and so he was sort of the support act for what's to come now. Do you have you have
Unknown Speaker 3:00
offered, what have you offered? Can you can you sell it in?
Unknown Speaker 3:05
I said that if you guys come up with a theme for a song amongst the five of you here joining me now, I'll go away for half hour 45 minutes, write the song, come back and perform it live. Okay, great. before your very eyes. Beautiful. Okay, so I mean, Max, you're, you're the guest. Have you got any any thoughts on what you think? I'd love to lay part of it to be about sleep deprivation as as it as it will, you know, this is what we'll be going through in, you know, throughout the next. Well, I've only got left 17 hours or 15 hours. But um, but yeah, it's some other that would be my little, like half a beam if anyone else wants to add anything. Yeah, so you had a lack of sleep thing? Yeah. So lack of sleep.
Unknown Speaker 3:54
George, Georgie boy, you're a creative guy. What have you got?
Unknown Speaker 3:59
You have
Unknown Speaker 4:00
Drop out then so we're talking about jack song
Unknown Speaker 4:05
mentally or your
Unknown Speaker 4:12
play is good. And what about you picking up the conversation like you never left What?
Unknown Speaker 4:21
Max is pretty.
Unknown Speaker 4:24
What
Unknown Speaker 4:25
What about what about
Unknown Speaker 4:28
drinks we should be having throughout the night to stay energised
Unknown Speaker 4:34
like phase and Red Bulls and that's a wise, wise.
Unknown Speaker 4:39
Wise. Yeah, I would like to align in that where you say I might not be Pete Murray. And then you've got
Unknown Speaker 4:50
what about what about stuff around smash? Just I guess I might not smart. We're trying to work out whether I mean you're the famous you've got the famous
Unknown Speaker 5:00
Song in your comment in their Comedy Festival show from 2013. Where you had it no more smart. No more smart to remember that. Yes. Yeah, I wouldn't use the descriptive word famous to describe 1013 Comedy Festival performance, but that is true.
Unknown Speaker 5:21
slate. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 5:25
Yeah, go ahead. Tell me.
Unknown Speaker 5:27
I want something some reference to that we were hacked in the comments by bots. I know I really wanted the word attackers, like we want hacks. Just a bunch of people come loaded. loaded by comments. Is that that's the type of hacking a DDoS attack. Yeah, right.
Unknown Speaker 5:48
Password. Somehow there was a day that we're
Unknown Speaker 5:53
trying to pay.
Unknown Speaker 5:55
20 Yeah, that was saying Trump 2020 I was saying
Unknown Speaker 6:00
audience that was strangers. No, there were
Unknown Speaker 6:06
40 4040 slides.
Unknown Speaker 6:10
We had a bunch of
Unknown Speaker 6:13
them obviously they picked up on the box because we now only have nine dislikes. Those nine dislikes are authentic if you're wondering
Unknown Speaker 6:21
All right, so Oh, yeah.
Unknown Speaker 6:24
So um yeah at attackee a great
Unknown Speaker 6:28
marriage.
Unknown Speaker 6:29
Grace got her merge in wha something around it arriving. And she was meant to get it.
Unknown Speaker 6:37
She's meant to get on Thursday but it came on Friday. Something about wha Oh, I had a post give me a pick up your parcel from the from the post office today. And I've been home for weeks. You didn't deliver it. There's no way to try to deliver that and I
Unknown Speaker 6:57
look out this window. Yeah, I can see
Unknown Speaker 7:00
You're not
Unknown Speaker 7:01
and you're bored and alert so absolutely not Yes. What are you white? Do you know what it is jack what's what's the guy from it's from chemists warehouse so I could literally trip to the post office is a trip to chemists warehouse. Yeah. So you didn't send me any top
Unknown Speaker 7:18
warehouse, as Katie mentioned morning
Unknown Speaker 7:22
yet morning Shannon morning Shannon. What's that? Is that a euphemism? No. So the more yeah the morning Shannon.
Unknown Speaker 7:30
That morning Shan is what we say every time we go on the chat. Because gronk in Queensland name Shannon would always be in the chat and people say morning, Shannon, even if it's afternoon. All right. So tell me a bit about that merge because the merge from what I saw is exactly the same hoodies except now they just don't have a hood. What's a crack it's very fashionable and also like a slightly different
Unknown Speaker 7:54
angle, right?
Unknown Speaker 7:57
Instead of the square version, and we
Unknown Speaker 8:00
Guys, t shirts as well. And the obvious is getting a mention of cotton who have kindly dressed us. Yeah, outside of our couch. So something about the great beanies and the comfy pants. Okay, so cotton
Unknown Speaker 8:15
hoodies everything contractual mentioned for cotton. Yeah, yeah.
Unknown Speaker 8:21
Next, and then I'll use Mr. 97. This is going to be hit line rectangular, not square
Unknown Speaker 8:29
as well.
Unknown Speaker 8:32
No, I mean, that rhymes rectangle. Square and we can't forget. Max is here. Which actually,
Unknown Speaker 8:40
Max, it makes me better. I just panicked. shaved my head. That's how bad my hair was. I just pointed out No, no, Josh, this is not a model. That's the thing. That's what's hard about what you said, What hat what's not a mullet about it? Well, this show is just not that luscious at the back. It'll get there. Yeah. So you are
Unknown Speaker 9:00
It's a mallet Josh. Okay. All right. It seems
Unknown Speaker 9:08
that backdrop that you got there with productions where you're trying to put in your own. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 9:14
Yeah,
Unknown Speaker 9:16
definitely.
Unknown Speaker 9:18
I want to because it's the first time a jack meeting but I remember you commented on Instagram. Yeah, you're behind it on a part of me directing Sam Pang and it was just a clusterfuck of just like me stuttering and arming and airing and that's a great video
Unknown Speaker 9:40
ampang and he's cool he was trying to be polite and not say I don't know what you're saying
Unknown Speaker 9:47
you're from Martin Scorsese's master class
Unknown Speaker 9:53
and
Unknown Speaker 9:55
I tried to think of something to write back and it never came
Unknown Speaker 9:59
back
Unknown Speaker 10:00
Yeah one more interaction we I feel like we have been more interaction we before that three or four years ago I was in Hong Kong and you grew up there obviously and you said you gave me some places to check out Ah yes yeah that's right yeah I
Unknown Speaker 10:16
went to none of them and just when
Unknown Speaker 10:19
we know each other well guy jack. jack is very good at the stinging comment he will like the fact that he remembers the hoodies and that like you keep tabs you actually say that again? Read baby.
Unknown Speaker 10:34
Anyway
Unknown Speaker 10:37
that's the only place where I
Unknown Speaker 10:41
remember I think I said you should get into colour correction and that was before I knew like, yeah, like colour grading and stuff. Because Yeah, you don't have to the whole the Wacom tablet thing. Anyway. Okay, jack. So you'll go off, Georgie boy. back. Okay, in you've got 20 minutes.
Unknown Speaker 11:01
I'll see you back. Yeah. Okay, bye bye. Bye bye subscribe. And so Georgie boy you can go and chill now as well you can go go back to editing. Just just feel free to mute yourself chill out here is here is oh here we go sports. Is there is there any pushback from you on Tiger King? Because if you are get out
Unknown Speaker 11:22
with me I love it I just yeah. stay stay stay. There's just a bunch of there's a movement movement around people pushing back on that thing and
Unknown Speaker 11:33
they're in the bin. I was around Joey exotic from the Louis Theroux days. Yeah. So when I saw the thumbnail come up on on Netflix, I was like, I remember that guy. And then but it was nowhere near as crazy as probably getting but you know,
Unknown Speaker 11:48
have you seen him Louie through his new podcast that he's got? No, he's got it. He's got a podcast and he's first guest is Jon Ronson who did the book. So you've been publicly shamed.
Unknown Speaker 12:00
wow yeah it's really really good
Unknown Speaker 12:03
yeah okay it's kind of he's one of those people who through that it's just not enough to have his stuff out there there's no content
Unknown Speaker 12:12
like that a little bit like Richard device as well as anything that comes out with him. I'm like I just want to consume it
Unknown Speaker 12:21
Louie Louie throws new podcast Josh Did you notice that it's in left and right in my car? I'm listening to it. And it was coming through my left and right speaker said John's coming through the left and Louie through the right it's like not
Unknown Speaker 12:35
just maybe they went for it. Maybe it maybe it's some kind of artistic flair that they're adding back into it. It's how we haven't caught up Mac since you've shot the latest season of Kenny had it all goes epic.
Unknown Speaker 12:51
Yeah, so we shot we started this too, coming to set so there's the 14 day location, get to shoot and then we had to do some live stuff like
Unknown Speaker 13:00
But on day one, we were all hugging each other. And by day 11 we weren't allowed to be in the same room as people and we had lunch had to be
Unknown Speaker 13:13
like day one lunch was a buffet with you know, tongs and just grab what you want. Day 11 was it has to be pre packaged and has has been name on it and the runner had to hand it to you with gloves and you had to so we went just through like one one shoe saw the start and end of it and we got and we kind of got shut down filming day 11 out of 14 days so we didn't even get it all done which was
Unknown Speaker 13:45
a rush it was just such a bizarre time to be honest. Do all the punch lines at the end so you're gonna end up with just like great stories but no, no punch line is how you shoot them.
Unknown Speaker 13:56
We say pump one day for
Unknown Speaker 14:00
Nothing is funny for the person living by drama. That's
Unknown Speaker 14:05
it, it's re edited into a drama. And
Unknown Speaker 14:10
we, we got like, It's weird. So a lot of the sketches survived. But there was a couple, obviously a couple that we just haven't done. And then there's a couple where we, if we film one more scene, like a pickup scene in a house or something, then that leads the whole sketch together. And we were and we've kind of
Unknown Speaker 14:32
we've been able to kind of either work around it or you know, we have we kind of didn't have to shut ourselves down, but it just felt at the time. You know, cases were doubling every day and it was starting to get a bit crazy and there was a bit of anger on set. And so it was kind of a we did it on our own accord shut that shit down. But in hindsight, I wish we finished it, but you know, it was it was such a, there was a couple days there where it's like okay, and this is the
Unknown Speaker 15:00
This is genuinely the end of the world. And then now we'll find out it's that was true.
Unknown Speaker 15:05
So what's happening? Are you releasing it this year? Kenny? Yeah, yes, every track. In fact,
Unknown Speaker 15:12
the network's I know that network 10 are like, please can we able to get the stuff we ever get episode one earlier because we really want you know, we don't know what's later on is going to be like in terms of what we can put on air.
Unknown Speaker 15:29
I know that they annoyingly stop that like 55% Australian content.
Unknown Speaker 15:36
Senior they have that certain American law and has to be Australian, and they've dropped that, because I think there's nothing to really put on, which is, which is really, which is really sad. But um, but I kind of almost understand that there's no productions happening at the moment. So they desperately want us on and I think we're looking at like, what are we doing with it later.
Unknown Speaker 16:00
Like it could be the start of June or the end of this month. f1 might be on.
Unknown Speaker 16:05
And they're just spent the weekend at the channel 10 Studios on chapel street where they filmed the project and stuff doing the doing like the in studio live ish feel bit to it, which was even harder because we usually have like 60 or 70 people in the audience and we had to do it in front of crew and be like, Hey, you know, everyone's doing their job and your crew. Hey, you know, you're doing things he laughs as well please, but
Unknown Speaker 16:33
it's on.
Unknown Speaker 16:35
So that was tough. But they've always really, really like yeah, did what they needed to do and hopefully it sounds Alright, but we haven't watched any of it back yet. We just finished on Sunday. What about content wise? Is there any sort of sketches that actually just don't go in sort of code, you know, COVID-19 times really like I actually this is let's funny now let's cut the back
Unknown Speaker 17:00
The Bat
Unknown Speaker 17:01
sketch or something, is a we we've actually had a lot of chats about that, you know, a couple weeks ago, when we were going into studio and we were actually meant to film it next Saturday, but we've we've all rolled forward.
Unknown Speaker 17:18
And Troy and myself and the production company execs and all that we were we were discussing like, let's, let's not even bring it up. Let's not even talk about it. And let's not make excuses for it either. Because I really would hate to Episode One, you know, we come into the opening titles and then it goes Troy's on stage going, guys, we had this other show ready, but
Unknown Speaker 17:43
you know Coronavirus so here's our excuse for not be as good and we kind of put, let's not, let's just not even give ourselves that that chance. And if it sucks, it's because it just sucks that we didn't think of anything better to do. So you
Unknown Speaker 18:00
It's it's a bit of a roll of the dice and you know you see a lot of shows at the moment now like front bar with you know Andy Lee's kind of chatted to us a little bit about their chats that they've had about no winnings is in there accrue laughing and it's it's kind of quickly become the new normal so I don't think people are gonna look at a stick out like like like we maybe think it will but you know it's gonna be um I am nervous to see the first cut of Episode One unmixed you know it's gonna sound really flat and empty or is it gonna be funny in good time?
Unknown Speaker 18:40
Last time we spoke you were talking to us about because you own a video production company like us and you were telling about the opportunity.
Unknown Speaker 18:51
Yeah,
Unknown Speaker 18:53
but is it priceless productions? Is that the think it is? Anyway
Unknown Speaker 18:59
you will
Unknown Speaker 19:00
Talking about you.
Unknown Speaker 19:01
Expo right now you had a booth
Unknown Speaker 19:07
we just put in your details into the iPad and you could win a free t shirt right yeah
Unknown Speaker 19:13
no analyse any videos you have
Unknown Speaker 19:20
you were talking about Kenny bang one of those opportunities that comes up where you need to put a lot of work into it but it's a not a distraction but definitely a focus of energy that you can't then put onto your business which you are growing and from you know, the outside you look like you're killing it. what's what's happened in your world when it when it comes to client work and working with brands directly? Yeah, it's a I think, you know, it's, I'm no different than probably everyone out there works. There was a lot of scope, a lot of opportunities presenting themselves, pre COVID and then it's kind of you know, now
Unknown Speaker 20:00
Like I did a lot of work with, we talked about this last time kayo and sports bear and, you know, their whole thing is sport with men, there's no sport. So
Unknown Speaker 20:10
I'm really thankful for to be distracted with the king stuff. And you know, I still got a couple months on that, watching, getting notes and talking how you, so one to six, and we might have some stuff left over, I don't know, that would keep me busy. But
Unknown Speaker 20:27
I don't know whether it's a blessing, I'm just gonna maybe say it is I've been giving it too much thought that because of, you know, trying to do a bigger project and you know, being taken away from
Unknown Speaker 20:38
your business doing kind of other video production and social content, you know, going and doing a big project, like this is is harsh for the clients because you're almost like you do a lot of you talk to them that doing social content, a great idea. And let's try and do six or 12 months of it and then kind of go Oh, by the way, I'm not going to be here.
Unknown Speaker 21:00
Three,
Unknown Speaker 21:02
it's a bit, it's a bit hard, it's a bit harsh, like, I don't have the measures in place to, to kind of hire someone like full time and
Unknown Speaker 21:12
that option now, but it's also an option in January, but it's a little bit more scary now to know if you can, if you can put measures in place to make it all run, then you can maybe shoot for the larger projects.
Unknown Speaker 21:28
And that's still that's still the plan, but I'm not sure if we know it might have just been set back a little bit.
Unknown Speaker 21:34
But there is it is a bit of a blessing in a weird way that I didn't, I didn't really set up too much for the second half of the year. So mentally, I'm not like I've lost all this work and it's kind of like Well, I'm in the same place as I was going to be with or without it. It just seems like the opportunities are a little bit. You know, they're not as many around but you know, they'll come it'll be fine. It'll come back What about
Unknown Speaker 22:00
Creativity Do you find that you're more or less creative in a time? Like now? awfully, awfully a lot worse off like I, I am. I find I'm one of those cafe Wang co writers
Unknown Speaker 22:16
and and I and it's, it's something about the acoustics is something about the way you sit in the cafe and the people there and a laptop. I'm just that's where I go to write things and and I really am shameless about that. I know I look like a dickhead. I know that I have to order roughly one coffee every 45 minutes. Otherwise get out.
Unknown Speaker 22:42
You play that fine line if you're not sending enough in here right now. And I don't want to spend anything in here right? power as well. You plugged in. No, I'm avoiding power I try to bring up in my text.
Unknown Speaker 23:00
All right.
Unknown Speaker 23:02
This is a big kickstart thing. And if my laptop runs out while I'm there, I think I've been there too long.
Unknown Speaker 23:13
I guess max it's better to have a cafe whacker writer than just a cafe Wang because I think that's what I am. What are you missing? Missing most about, you know, the previous existence that we had that a lot of us didn't take for granted.
Unknown Speaker 23:29
I'm a big part of the pie. Which was what I cuz I'm not I haven't been doing bad. Yeah, what Yeah, I'm actually doing a i'm actually going and helping a friend like three friends out here on the palace in South Melbourne.
Unknown Speaker 23:46
And the retreat in Abbotsford. And they, they're doing like, so they're doing veggie and fruit boxes and the reason they're doing that is because their supplies of food to the rescue.
Unknown Speaker 24:00
Wrong, have like that chain has stopped with them. So So this applies of, you know, all your fruit veggie like guys, we have an abundance of it and we don't know do with it. So they're selling they're on selling that now which is nice and they started to these things called growlers and then anyone that's like a Peaky Blinders or anything like that. That's like these massive prohibition type, right like brown bottles and they you can go in there and pour, pour beer out of a cake, because that's mainly that that taste is what I miss. And then you can bottle it, and then take it home and drink it like that night or over two days or whatever. What is the time so it's around two days you have to finish the cake. Is that the rule?
Unknown Speaker 24:45
Yeah, but it's not. It's not it's not a pressurised. I mean, you haven't gone past two hours. I don't know what that thing is.
Unknown Speaker 24:55
It has to be juggled quicker than a cake because there's no pressure. I don't know how that works.
Unknown Speaker 25:00
sticks work on it, but I'm probably doing an ongoing instituting a like a bit of a just helping them with a bit of a promo video tomorrow because yeah, it's this it that is like you look at people like that and then you kind of realise that with We're fine. Well, I'm fine compared to a lot of people and businesses out there are really harmful. I've definitely seen that co2 Jay talked about I'm gonna have to go just a little
Unknown Speaker 25:26
insect second, second coffee and the fizzy water does it to me as well I reckon it just pushes it faster. But
Unknown Speaker 25:35
what was it What was the longest day that you put into the Kinney production? legally speaking because I you know, you probably get shut down by channel 10. If they work out that you did a 20 hour day, not pretty by the books because we hire so many freelancers and there's there's a lot of rules on overtime and stuff like that and we kind of set in place I guess we did enough pre production to to kind of
Unknown Speaker 26:00
allowed enough for certain days insane that we did. We did miss a couple of call sheets that day on this trip where we ran a little behind. But um, we were able to pick them up over the next couple of days. And that just, unfortunately added a little bit of stress. But I think the contents still really good. And I'm excited for the season we kind of Kenny and I, who, I guess like the head head writers are always nervous because it's like a full season of sketch show now that we're down for content, we can't think of anything else, and then we'll literally have a phone call. And when I do that, that's not bad. And then you know, we're on it down and then just kind of it's been able to happen, but I say this if we were to go another one. I'm even more nervous. Like we couldn't do another one. Surely, but it might happen again. I don't I have no idea.
Unknown Speaker 26:50
But yeah. Do you know what do you think Max? Max
Unknown Speaker 26:55
needs knaves best mate that has
Unknown Speaker 26:58
max Joseph
Unknown Speaker 27:00
He's a filmmaker in New York, but he has this movie. Like, you know, short little doggie bat fish. Do you need to be a dick to be a director? And I mean, you're wrong.
Unknown Speaker 27:12
No, I do. I do not.
Unknown Speaker 27:17
Yeah. Yeah. No, I
Unknown Speaker 27:22
I actually think that that's personally and it's funny because threat like kind of directing the show is
Unknown Speaker 27:29
and and being a I guess a director you're not often on set with other directors because he's not you know, you don't have three or four on a on a shoot so I don't really get to
Unknown Speaker 27:39
see what other people do that often. But, uh, but no, I think it putting a vibe like that on set for comedy, like being a decade of being like kind of aggressive and calling people out is is a really ugly way to go about it. I think it's all about I think I might have mentioned last time you
Unknown Speaker 28:00
If you see anything you don't like, or this person doesn't like that person starting to brew, it's like it's kind of kind of nipping it in the bud early, making sure that you think they flesh things out. And and yeah, and in fact people aren't. If people are not performing as well as you'd like them to, it's, it's pretty much using your words well enough to get your message into their heads. And also get you know, really seeing not just just the how the performance is going but seeing how the actors going
Unknown Speaker 28:36
mentally because like there'll be times where someone will be
Unknown Speaker 28:41
you know, like, I don't know how much kind of acting you guys have done but when, when you've asked to do like the third or fourth take and getting it wrong and you keep stuffing up the same bit, and you you can cut you can see him start to beat themselves up in their head and you be suspended
Unknown Speaker 29:00
It's so hot and then there's plenty people around. And then there's the like an ad standing next to me going, we need to move on to the next thing and we haven't got the haven't got that take yet. You have to almost
Unknown Speaker 29:13
just make it you know, just stop everyone. pull them aside and chat to him. Let him breathe. Just calm him down.
Unknown Speaker 29:21
It's you know, remind them we're just making dumb videos like we're just having fun. So I'm more about I'm more about making everyone have fun on set because I think it reflects on screen and being a dickhead is not a good call in my role catering. what's what's what was the catering like? I know you're saying like it was a bit of a process to sort of get it to everyone. What were you What were you rocking?
Unknown Speaker 29:43
Um,
Unknown Speaker 29:45
what's that called? foxes den. Right. Yeah, it's crap. Love foxes, chicken roll. All that like it. It was catered really well. But yeah, the weirdest part was we one of the early days we had like this amazing
Unknown Speaker 30:00
So like four or five carries and then and then yet like we could just pick at and you know grab things with our hands and then at the end it was like almost hazmat suits and you guys sit in that corner you sit in that corner and no one will do each other very much.
Unknown Speaker 30:16
That sounds crazy that's how scary got with the Coronavirus thing Who's your favourite comedian or actor that you've directed?
Unknown Speaker 30:25
Um, I mean, cool.
Unknown Speaker 30:30
We got to work with Ryan Shelton on this on this show. And I just have you know, it was really day to day one or two I had like a bit of a sinus infection I can get like get called in these you know these parts of your face. And then I on day two, I had a really bad and I am so when I would laugh or whatnot. It would just be a bit of pressure and above the eye. And it was the day we had Ryan Shelton on and we would
Unknown Speaker 31:00
Working on a script before we had to go in and shoot it and I hadn't just like I looked through because I had to walk away and not be involved in
Unknown Speaker 31:09
making me laugh so much. It's just it's just these little things that I'm that I. I just, I just can't get enough of. And if you seen is Ryan calm
Unknown Speaker 31:22
Ryan
Unknown Speaker 31:25
love to spruik that because he's so so good. So he was like craftsperson, create like, what I love about what Ryan does is it's you can tell how much he loves the craft and how he plays with it.
Unknown Speaker 31:41
Yeah, exactly like even on his that's on that site when he interviewed himself. I don't know. a blooper. And then then that's exactly the bit I'm talking about like that takes someone who cares for the crop to not only finish that script, and then record each bit, you know, and then
Unknown Speaker 32:00
counted together, but that's the extra length to go to, which is like, puts him in the genius category or even Yeah, just a bit of an act. It takes itself so long and it's like doing that back and forth. Yeah, it looks like same less but you never know it. I mean, we should ask him how long it took him. Yeah, yes. Yep. So I messaged jack and I might I might just jump back in. He said shit 20 minutes goes fast. Give me a couple of minutes. So he started off very strong. He came up with the idea of the song.
Unknown Speaker 32:33
So I'm hoping in the next the next five minutes we can get him to jump on and he he's he's somebody he's created. I wouldn't be surprised that he goes out of contact for about now on
Unknown Speaker 32:46
was definitely
Unknown Speaker 32:48
a good ghost. He'll he'll. He's actually someone who I call and it never actually rings. It always goes to like, not even voicemail. I'm like I'm making the note like I don't know if this is his number.
Unknown Speaker 33:00
But he engaged? Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 33:03
Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 33:06
So how are our morals and vibes? So you guys at the moment, not only this 24 hour stream, but how everything's gone down I love the guys who have ramped up your content, which is just perfect time to do it, I think you'll be
Unknown Speaker 33:20
so you've benefited so much from it. I just think I'm jealous of how you guys get together and do so much stuff. Very good. Thanks, man. Yeah, it's been. It's like, I think if you look at the grand scheme of things,
Unknown Speaker 33:36
talking personally I've like I'm thriving, just the creative process and just learning new things. I think that that's where I get a lot of my energy from. And so I think the other thing too is it's um, you have to play with the imperfect so it's like, you know, doing doing this and doing the strain. We could have spent another like three weeks or you know,
Unknown Speaker 34:00
A month or you know, six weeks or whatever it is planning guests and doing all that sort of thing, but it's like,
Unknown Speaker 34:06
I love that we can say on Sunday, hey, this is something we're going to do like with our merchandise sort of thing and then just get it done. So it's okay. Because I don't know what the other I don't know the other approach works all too well. I mean, it can I guess for us different. I think there was just argue too much about it. I think that like, a lot of it is just like, having having it be so quick, like because it's fast, all of a sudden, there's no issue in regards to delegation. There's no issue with all the shit because just like you just fucking grabbing stuff and everyone's having a crack. And we're very lucky that we have such an amazing community in the gronk squad that we've got people like Charles in Bathurst, it can be in the green room chatting to people and then we've got the committee crew, we've got, you know, five or six of the gronk sitting in watching on zoom, which will bring them back in soon. But um, yeah. So it is
Unknown Speaker 35:00
It is a lot of fun I guess. Yeah. So I've got a I've got an I would you like me to do a little product review on a lot I got today? Oh, yeah.
Unknown Speaker 35:11
A little film light and I am fascinated by and this is only I've got time. I can't You can't go yeah as long as you mentioned cottoned on being the main sponsor and oh jack Jack's back in Jackie's back into it do we want to do the song and then we'll do the lighting review the quick
Unknown Speaker 35:30
review but we're doing it hang on so we should bring in on the lighting review okay so we'll bring the six so don't start talking jack. Okay jack Hello. I can't hear you jack either.
Unknown Speaker 35:43
Hang on
Unknown Speaker 35:45
now Yeah, we can hear Yeah, Jack's back. I'm practising my song. Can you hear us jack? I can hear you guys. Perfect.
Unknown Speaker 35:55
All right. So do you want to give it a little intro before you start?
Unknown Speaker 36:00
Now can I preface I pitched you this idea? I said, I'll go I have an hour to write a song, and then I'll play. And so then what? And then what did happen? I then said, hey, how's 6pm is in conflict 6pm and then you can come back at 9pm and the fun is in the speed. And so I can't win.
Unknown Speaker 36:25
The fight is in the in one hour speed up to speed, but I've got something. Okay. This is
Unknown Speaker 36:34
Nick, can you hear me? All right. I hate for my song. Yeah, to be if it's good enough that
Unknown Speaker 36:40
you say goodbye and sing over the top. Now, did you have professional microphone? So did he just go? No, no. He's like, Thomas sounded great. today. Yeah.
Unknown Speaker 36:52
All right. Well, this is I guess I wrote this on the assumption that Mr. 97 uh, you're the one who handles it.
Unknown Speaker 37:00
technical problems like the bots getting into the comments section.
Unknown Speaker 37:04
Yeah, to an extent Yeah. Good. Yeah, good everything
Unknown Speaker 37:10
as long as everything's going to take quite a bit as soon as it
Unknown Speaker 37:14
porcha Charles Yeah. All right. I'll give you this one practice so bear with me. This is the daily talk show song written by you guys and may in the last 20 minutes
Unknown Speaker 37:28
the daily talk show isn't safe anymore. The bucks
Unknown Speaker 37:38
Yeah, the bots are infiltrating the comment section. Oh, save us mister 90s.
Unknown Speaker 37:51
We thought the worst thing would we would face we take it again. We thought the worst thing that we would face would be sleep.
Unknown Speaker 38:00
depravity, trying to stay awake all night drinking Monster Energy, but the thoughts have become the real.
Unknown Speaker 38:11
Most same us Mr. 97
Unknown Speaker 38:19
he will not be
Unknown Speaker 38:31
on
Unknown Speaker 38:35
bond.
Unknown Speaker 38:48
JACK
Unknown Speaker 38:50
won't go nitpicky, but there was a few bits missing obviously, but you can't get
Unknown Speaker 38:57
Could you do it
Unknown Speaker 39:04
Thank you
Unknown Speaker 39:17
can I hear his voice still
Unknown Speaker 39:21
sounds like a stanza when the
Unknown Speaker 39:27
difference between those two things in
Unknown Speaker 39:33
my head that back
Unknown Speaker 39:39
tech he's risky risky going in and out like
Unknown Speaker 39:47
like now you know there's a crocodile in the water but I just thought I just bought it very close to it he just come in and say what he wants.
Unknown Speaker 39:55
Definitely, actually we need it with so we've got Laura insurance
Unknown Speaker 40:00
stiff clay Smith. Now stiff Miller coming on the show in a few minutes. I am concerned. You must have to wait for another time. Yeah. And oh yeah, I know. Come on give us give us your lighting equipment.
Unknown Speaker 40:17
Yeah, I'm using it. Okay. We it's an added lightsaber panel lot, right? Oh wow.
Unknown Speaker 40:25
It's called the young now why and 360 but it comes with a little remote and it's awesome and you can you can go and change it to like led colours.
Unknown Speaker 40:37
Blog mood like that you can you could put it behind something and like
Unknown Speaker 40:43
and then it has some has settings where you can go like this cop, please. This is right. Where did you get this so good. Amazon and it came today. So I'm all I'm all about it at the moment and it's
Unknown Speaker 41:00
takes the battery things but it's perfect for like if you wanted to light like just the background of a shop and just draw just draw somewhere ended. Penny right that's what uh that's my RV
Unknown Speaker 41:12
right? Yeah you would
Unknown Speaker 41:15
anyway, the police the police So
Unknown Speaker 41:21
did you have a TJ loves to know what Pete what everything costs? What was like
Unknown Speaker 41:27
70 bucks that's good oh that's right yeah
Unknown Speaker 41:30
there's a there was a big there's a premium company has just gone blank on the big light panels i think is the the big sort of broadcast a light company that does like they started doing the LED stuff. And it was
Unknown Speaker 41:44
Yeah, I remember it was one of the custom down. Yeah, this is great. I mean, the thing is, you're gonna stop doing so many sketches that involve cops. I don't know I don't know what the weather is at yours, but I'm getting a bit of lightning
Unknown Speaker 42:02
You should actually do some DJing. Like, I'm DJ precious sort of on Friday nights normally. And, like the light that I had to use was a backlight which would just flash red. So I feel like that would be a be extremely handy. This is the red one. This is called firetruck city. And the last one I'll show you is Angela city, which is just that one. Wait. So the I mean, I think that's wrong, isn't it? Like I'm pretty sure that ambulance sort of will go both colours now. I don't know. We'll try it later. Josh, we'll call one. Yeah, we got a bit late when I'm struggling. Now we don't.
Unknown Speaker 42:38
We don't encourage people using triple zero unless they need emergency support, just sales alone without lots of cash. Because I've called triple zero a lot called 131. Triple four if you need emergency services, but you don't need the sirens. So say if you get broken into or things like that.
Unknown Speaker 42:56
Anyway, Dr. Max Max. Thanks for coming.
Unknown Speaker 43:00
Buddy. It's good. It's like a party. I'm gonna
Unknown Speaker 43:04
get on. Good luck dance. Thank you so much for having me on. I'm very impressed with what you guys are doing. so much. Thanks, dude. He's more of these in your body and I feel like what's what's that cold?
Unknown Speaker 43:18
I feel like I've got
Unknown Speaker 43:20
you know, like when you've got too much of it like cortisol. Like I feel like I'm sort of I my heart rate definitely is like Yeah, yeah, that's all good. All right, good. I'm gonna go to
Unknown Speaker 43:31
we'll leave it there, Max. I'm gonna go to the two shot of you guys. And I'm gonna go in the green room.
