The Daily Talk Show Episode 400 and it is what's happening guys? Let's go dance those now you've already had a productive morning oh yes I have is I pull back my jumper slave and reveal the blood test that I've had this morning feeling lotta hundred millilitre maybe less. So 97 and I were talking about the blood test so you were going to get your doctor's referral? We have to Yeah. Which you thought you would then have to go and go to a What's it called? Birds one stone. I didn't know they did this. As the doctor pointed out. I said, I said to the doctor when I went into get the referral. I said, Ah, this place is looking great because it's it's been renewed since I last was there. He said, yeah, it looked like a brothel before dinner.
0:50
Like I wouldn't not.
0:53
But I guess the end, it's in St. Kilda. I followed it up by saying well around here you wouldn't quite know where you stumbling
1:00
Deadwood yet and so the question is What did you What did you actually get your blood taken full? Just ask. So I thought the said this is all for the reveal on the 500th we've got a bit of a thing going where we're trying to work out who out of the three of us has the most testosterone but is level. So I am speaking to 97 about potentially opening it up to cholesterol and other men and I so I've just got kept it specific. I'll give you some information
1:31
on how you go about it. Keep it specific, just get I just I'm looking to get my testosterone tested. So I didn't know the only thing I lied was I panicked. I panicked. When he said what do you do? I said I'm on TV.
1:47
My approach going in was like I'm not gonna lie about what I'm getting this test for. I won't mention the competition, but I won't say I won't try and put it in all my cholesterol won't my vitamin D
2:00
I want my testosterone. I'll just like just say, testosterone. That's what I want tested. And, and so I brought that out. And then he says Why? Well, he asked asking a few questions and he and it was like more.
2:13
He married or you know your relationship and I was like, yeah, I'm, I'm married and I have a kid. He's gone. You just never know around here. There's, you know, some people, you know, they're into both as
2:27
well, because he's like, he's basically saying, when he asked a lot of people, what are you into, in in medicine, the kindest possible way about a guy you should write? A you whatever, and he says, a lot of people answer. I go both. I go both ways. And Fair enough, but I know he was curious about that. And so he asked me Have I got kids? What kind of exercise I do. He was trying to understand why I wanted the testosterone levels tested. I just said I was curious. And he said there's a movement, so many people having their testosterone tested that the
3:00
Well the funny thing like I was saying that 97 slightly different to what you were saying which is around the that's not really good storey and in there. Like you haven't really given a good storey. I don't need to give a good storey this is I always I always thinking of giving good storey trying to get a good storey panicked and said you're on tape.
3:21
If that was an agent says, Oh, yeah, no problem. He's from New Zealand. So it's like I've got no idea about that stuff. So I was lucky. They watch.
3:32
I was on the project once
3:35
I wasn't in
3:36
the storey and just go straight to it. Well, I'll tell you what my storey is going to be.
3:42
So I am about to undertake a big diet change. I normally take a bunch of like Brazil nuts and all these different things because I think that they're helping testosterone.
3:53
And so I'm wanting to get there's a few things I want to get checked. cholesterol, vitamin D.
4:00
So my testosterone and I want to muddy the water don't don't muddy the water, you worried that's going to happen? Nothing. He said that this country has spent, Australia has spent look it up the what's the figure of what's the cost for checking people's vitamin D levels in this country? He said it was like millions and millions and millions of dollars with no, no effect, like no change to what people are doing. And so the problem like I didn't pay for any of this, right, who pays for Medicare, the government tax payers? And so it is he saying they're going to, if you can see on your records, if you're getting your vitamin D tested all the time, they're going to start charging people. That's fair for a because yeah, and so the other thing you did point out was the thing about tests, you're testing to get some kind of number or reading, which then you either act on it or you don't and the thing about acting on these things is like more fuel
5:00
testosterone, then there's testosterone replacement therapy, that kind of stuff which I didn't even want to get into that she was just like, Look, I'm curious. I just brought it back to that. Look, I'm curious I'm, I'm, I'm just wanting to understand now. So maybe in the future I can see the difference and so don't you'll get a convoluted, like rate like, they'll come back to you with so much stuff.
5:25
Time I reckon you could probably say I'm extremely agitated all the time. I think it could have changed your testosterone. Yeah, I know. It would actually work based on try that. I just don't need to but with this bullshit. I mean, the guy that said that, I mean, it's not actually bullshit. I'm I'm vegetarian now.
5:41
The
5:43
drop the Josh.
5:46
That was a nice touch because it reminds me of what you know, food. I think you actually decided the testosterone stuff. Just curious to see if it changes my testosterone levels. Why? AU being the doctor on being Josh.
5:59
You could just
6:00
That but my thing is, it's like if I'm going to go to the doctor anyway. Like, I might as well get vitamin D. Yeah, I just would lead with the testosterone thing because we don't fast enough. Like I was thinking about like, what if? What if we came back so I can get diabetes or whatever? Well that's blood sugar. Yeah and so that's what I was thinking I was thinking you might fucking do
6:21
it good reveal fab 500 K, just make sure you can get it within three days. Is that what your why is that why you're so annoyed about it? Because you just want to make sure that it's right. What am I annoyed about will just be giving a bit of pushback with if you do a bunch of tests and it's gonna you're gonna get a piece of paper with all these things. I'm going to get one. It was purely a testosterone so you're upset test? You don't you didn't check it all. No, no, I actually made the decision during the conversation with him not to bring in those other things. I was like, yeah, just keep it this white single conversation. That may be why it is that you're like bringing that energy because you made that decision in your head. No, no, I actually just think you complicate everything.
7:00
And I think that the admin of going to a doctor for the first time in 10 years, quite a lot. So might as well because I was even thinking fact the whole ball building now just go to a GP and I can pay
7:13
you can still get the it's just not as soft free. But I just don't want to put any roadblocks in front of you boys. Because I've booked in for tonight. Have you yet? Where are you going to play some bowling ball and medical centre some of
7:29
both be only 722 signing autographs at the front for any gronk gronk squad or doing an appearance given the exact medical centre and the time. Yeah.
7:43
I was also going to give the centre and then Tommy's like Oh, where are you doing? It doesn't really matter. Give him a good prop. I mean, I said yeah, so definitely a sunny outside. Yeah. Yeah, I told you about where I was going. It's Um, and so you then you get to go back as well. To get the result. Yeah, because I've done that. I've done all this before.
8:00
And it could be interesting getting my so I did this after reading for our body. Yeah, would have been. Maybe 2011 I think, yeah, got all that did the Dexter scan did the blood work and then they came back with the whole list. So I think I've got it in Evernote somewhere. Oh, that's good. Compare from when I was 21. I did test your testosterone. Do you think back then? I mean, are you looking for vitamin levels? Because Tim Ferriss is all about like, what do you use for everything? Yeah, I could definitely have a squeeze and say, say what it is. That's a good point. Did you analyse it off to you got it? Yes. As a doctor way nicer. The doctor was like, I Oh, man, that's pretty. Like I feel like given how bad my diet was, there was nothing alarming. human body's pretty resilient to how us gronk straight there. And so yeah, you got it. So you got Have you booked in? No, I think Ray was saying he needs to get blood test done as well on nine so she
9:00
Like
9:02
are you could even just go to Mike because she goes to the doctor regularly she's like just go to the same gap as May she does she pay yeah she does so I might as well just do that yeah gonna get done boys yeah we're done while you were getting your testosterone checked yeah I was demonstrating the level of testosterone this morning push up competition squats or what do you deadlift What were you so chin ups I was I was walking across the road
9:32
and I was on the intersection like on the the pedestrian walking and a car was already giving way to some pedestrians that were already walking cross yet the green light yeah no there was no green light it was just one of the
9:49
Murphy pedestrian crossing. We didn't have it even the the lines or whatever intersection Smith yet and I'm walking across the road from
10:00
Murphy's to fixation. Yeah. And I'm in the intersection. I'm walking and a car does the whole sort of slips in front of me like drives quickly in front. What would you do in that moment? so much you can do morning traffic. I've been the perpetrator of doing that. I mean if it's that if they did it really dangerously and they actually will close to hitting a punch the car. I mean, did you look at who the fuck was in the car? No, wasn't a punch. So imagine you're walking that walk like this. And so rather than it wasn't a like that punch, you have to watch the video guys. It was a like that you like knock? Knock. Yeah, made a really unusual knock.
10:46
A backhand.
10:49
That's good. If you can get high if you going low. You're you're walking like that. Walking like that. So imagine
10:58
walking and walking
11:00
Almost I just walked into the car and just so happened that had my fists clenched. Yeah. Anyway,
11:07
I slammed on the brakes. Awesome. He's in a Mazda.
11:12
So I felt sort of safe. Because
11:16
Dr. Masters through they were driving a holiday they got the helicopter scattered and having a Mazda? Yeah, they got their Mercedes impounded. And they've got to borrow a Mazda from a mate. And I felt pretty safe. But anyway, hey, this guy, British turd yelling and swearing at me. So you're a party.
11:38
And it's like, you know, and then I was just like, you got to give YU to give me like, I was Yeah, you know, I was turning Yeah, but like basically saying that was wrong.
11:49
Anyway, like, because he'd sort of, as soon as that happened to he like, drove up to like the island bit of like, where the corner is to have
11:58
this conversation with me. And so like,
12:00
guy walked over there and just sort of said, Hey, like this is, you know, this is what happened. And
12:06
you just swearing at me and all that sort of thing. And then he
12:12
I was like, I'm basically done. I've got everything like there's nothing else to really add. So I was walking to get my coffee.
12:18
And as I was saying to walk away, he did this like, turn of his car turning around, and then went into a park Park sort of position. And I just walked over and took a bunch of photos of him watching Yeah, yeah, of his number plate and all that sort of thing. And then just turned around walking is I IYI I decided to get naughty. Yeah, just had my head.
12:45
His position this whole thing of like, the guy with these fucking hear
12:50
me. Yeah. And so it was, um, it's funny. I called it like, I got a real fucking kick out of it. It was great. As I said to 97 I called him I was just like,
13:00
Telling the storey because it doesn't it's not that often. What I loved about it was there was a clear situation of he was breaking the rules. Yeah, yeah. And so there wasn't it wasn't like, Oh, you did this. Like it was all very clear. Yeah. But I mean, the problem with doing those things is that if it turned the other way, you handle yourself. Now well, it's like he's he can fight any fights if he hits me, he's
13:27
he gets arrested. Now of course he does. But that's why I don't want you to get hit. So that's the thing.
13:33
That's why I don't care necessarily about I'm like, Look, if you want to punch if you want to, like throw the first punch, if you want to punch me, amongst all this sort of thing, I know I did the thing, but my point is, it's like
13:47
maybe it's like my basketball days. I could fucking offensive foul, just jumped in front and I can take it actually okay.
13:55
I know it's amazing because there's there is psychos out there.
13:59
King hits me and
14:00
kills me Of course. Yeah. But then that guy is fucked. Yeah, but my point is was it wasn't worth
14:09
trying to go How do you not die and then doing
14:13
what's the likelihood of die like we talked about me not die just getting pants right so if I got hit by the car Yeah,
14:22
I guess so the question remains do when something like that happens should there be some form of communication to that driver so that they know that they nearly hit me?
14:37
Yeah, only
14:41
the only thing is just it really has impact or actually factor factor.
14:48
back Yeah, fuck yeah, I think the guy wouldn't even connected with that bang on the side of his card. What he's saying is, have I been about hit someone. Not only did he's like
15:00
He knows exactly what's happened. You can't even met like, he knows he did the wrong thing. Like he knows he ducked in front of you. And then he's got hit. I nearly got hit someone reversing out. And I literally smash the back like a bang, bang the back of their car. They got the biggest fucking fright of their life because they knew that they it was different, like they didn't know that will try and duck in front of me. They will reverse without even fucking considering anything going on. It was so dangerous. My point is you do this? What are you saying? I just love that. It's like you tell the tech same storey I'm like, and that's why it's okay for me to do well. No not. You can enjoy yourself. If someone I think I can add I think you can. I think I can. I mean the thing is, it's not okay. I'm saying handles.
15:46
Right? You do shit. And you're like, Fuck, I've yelled at people. I've yelled at people while driving. It's like, what if they were an absolute soccer but if I did handle myself because I didn't escalate it.
16:00
The point of a altercation. I'm not saying he did the wrong thing. I'm just saying the potential of doing these kind of things he's is can be fully fully fact but with how the other person react what he was saying on Instagram I seven what Andrew Clark just joined she said yeah, did I Andrew, we haven't got any other messages. Andrea, we're just arguing on whether we're not arguing at all. Because
16:26
it seems like you know, I just think that it's my point is if you do it to the wrong person, I've always thought what if it is some Barki that you you do that too because I've done it too many times? What and so what happens in those cases, and they're an absolute psycho that is just on the tipping point like that can happen in life, right? You just you're in the pathway, what is happening
16:48
here in the pathway of someone who is just at the tipping point, and that just tips over the point. Tip them over. What do you want from it? What did you want from that? So it's, it's about for me the
17:00
I was nearly kid. And that's like a complete disregard of the law. So the thing is, does he walk away? Potentially with that in his mind where it's like, the does he have the right of why or doesn't he like, I think it's illegal. So it is giving pedestrians. Exactly. And so that was my point. I think that he walks away, maybe does a little Google search. He's angry. He didn't give a shit. I think he was a professional angry.
17:28
IT professionals that one's probably punching on down the pub later on, because they're just silly. And I wonder I think like, it's a weird one because he got his backup, right. He knows he did the wrong thing. Yeah, he has to know Goldie guts says Just tell him you love him. Tommy. Yeah, and Dan Wakeman says I think Josh would be Tommy and an arm wrestle that would settle this for me. That's a good point. Should we just don't create all right.
17:51
So how do we actually get it set up? You go to you go sort of that side. Okay. And you go with your sorry, room.
17:58
Both Right. Yeah.
18:00
Can we go
18:01
321 go
18:06
OOZF to go to the YouTube to watch this OO
18:23
the biggest recovery they just saved it
18:27
To be honest, I just got over it
18:32
I'm glad that I got my ad they got the doctor said he can't move your arms doing the heavy lifting for two hours. And I went my left hand because I was like, Oh, I need that. Yeah, yeah
18:45
that's fun. That's good man. We got maybe do it there for five.
18:53
It actually takes me that he doesn't.
18:56
Is this how you felt this morning after the conference?
19:00
Was that man? I was actually like,
19:04
there was an excitement level to it.
19:07
Yeah, adrenaline kick. Yeah. Because it's like, what I liked about is like, we just have common sense like, where he was yelling and all that sort of thing. The thing is diffusing people like anyone who's being
19:21
angry towards you. Like he's so I didn't say you're a fucking idiot and what I said was
19:28
I had right away and so it's it's not like he was like swearing at me. But yeah, it was funny watching a video and
19:38
watching this video. Watching This Video expected more, by the way from you, but I played it. I knew exactly. I think that's the
19:48
TJ always does this. We're talking about Germany. What I thought and it was actually how play that I would just let you let you go at the start. And then I'll ramp it up as hard as I can.
20:00
But that's what's going back because I need any you still had some gas in the tank. You did that to me. I held off and then I knew I could gas you down was your your was also keeping them in the fact that I didn't that I couldn't
20:14
lift my like I was I was
20:18
reaching for the table ready to sort of use my body weight. Ben Ben says another year of the porn and Tommy would have lost that.
20:28
Very good point.
20:31
everybody watching this video early in the wake of a woman on the tram in Melbourne and she
20:37
she wasn't she wasn't in good. She wasn't a good soul. She was about law, Ozzy about law, but she was swearing and carrying on. And the tram just turned on her. rightfully so she was being an absolute nuisance. But the amount of people that was swearing at her as well saying get the fat off or shut the fuck up which really is
21:01
If you look at it from the perspective of it's an A she's an easy target. Yeah. In
21:07
fact, you because I know that, yeah, in a fight. It's not an issue. I was thinking though. So in that situation relating it to like these where people are sort of highly strong in a moment.
21:18
What if you just said to that lady if one person on that tram said, Can I give you a hug or something? Oh, just when I say are you Is everything all right? You know, like, I think about how do you do the opposite. It's like those YouTube videos where you in fight situations, people rip off their clothes, and then the other person runs off, because there's so confused, but if you were to defuse it by saying something lovely, well, I mean, what I said to him, I remember the other thing, which like, you're in a car, I'm walking Yeah, like that. That's also I mean, the thing is, he's he's got a fucking
21:51
Mazda, whatever, like a four wheel drive looking thing. It's like he could run me out like the thing is then from a power point of view.
22:00
It's not even, okay like getting punched or things like that. I think I've told you, Mr. 97 when I went to fitness first in Doncaster, I'd never been there before. First time I went there. Two things about it is that you need local butter. It's so close to me. I didn't realise I was like, I'm this memberships. fact, I have to go back into Richmond to take me forever. Anyway, it's two things about it. It's too It's across two levels.
22:29
Remember how you like thinking about people who complain because they can't get Park close to the gym? And then you think are they complaining because I have to walk 100 metres to the gym.
22:40
I say I say I've always said go to the gym. However you get there doesn't matter if you have to drive whatever. This gym. I don't think this is fucking okay. There's a lift between the levels. And I'm not kidding you. People do their weights down the bottom and getting a lift to go up one flight of stairs.
23:00
Leg
23:02
leg day not even leg day like these people they're doing it they're going between levels in a gym that there's a staircase I've never taken I will never take that lift and then fucking walking down the stairs man you're perfect that's what that's what I take that down you don't be upset that you know I think it's good like if you look
23:21
so good
23:23
that's like no I'm getting to my point the video that was your point that you perfect because you know
23:29
today isn't it is the fact that I just thought this morning got beaten in an arm wrestle this afternoon today certainly my point though, there was nearly I wouldn't nearly witnessed a fight at the gym between these two guys.
23:46
And then 10 minutes later another fight between two other people they never got Doncaster Doncaster fitness first it's a it's a it's a rough gym. And did you tell them guys this calm down? know these, these guys you wouldn't want to fucking mess with
24:00
But now we're like in a point was not many people throw punches these days because there's cameras everywhere and people feel like you holding it up as soon as something happens the the guy said to him
24:13
I gave you chance last time come to the change room right now no cameras Let's go.
24:18
I was like Oh my fucking god this is I've really thought it through haven't
24:23
really think about where the cameras or anything is I've just said that on camera. So I was also thinking about like, say all the cameras type of thing. You think about dashboards, you think about, you know, car dashboards. What about like pedestrian, dash cams? Now, what's the head cam? Is that a thing?
24:44
Like a head count.
24:47
It could be like a GoPro. I mean it would it's very obvious. Have you seen what they've got. So that's sort of what he can put it in a uniform. Maybe you can get in
24:59
put it here.
25:00
What if
25:01
we could get a little pinhole camera What do you feel that there's a certain if you have a dash cam Do you think that you're more likely to get into road incidents are yeah because you know that you've told me before and so I think that that if I was wearing a GoPro on my head every day to work EBRB lunging out and to pedestrian
25:25
be try to be tried for claims left right yeah, I mean it certainly climbs it's just the content,
25:32
the content Wellington, Wellington straight 30 kilometres an hour from bunch of the patch patch there. And so the thing is that from a pedestrian point of view, if you're crossing along the zebras, you should be at like, 30 you can, I can stop when you're like, five metres away from it. Yeah. And so that's like the, as a pedestrian I feel safer crossing the road, knowing that those
26:00
quicker stops should be easy. And if they can't stop, they're probably speeding. Yeah, I think yeah, that's all I think that's why they did the 30. Because it's like, yeah, so she had significant Lee reduces the the incidences. Seven NCTK. What are you going to say to the doctor? You gotta get your storey my straight or fucking lack of storey. Just like remove it. Yeah. Well, I mean, I think I think I'll probably run with what you said. But my, my initial thought was around. You could you could pump up a storey around like having low sex drive. In Definitely. Definitely just be. Look, as he said to me, that's why people usually get a check. They get low sex drive. He said, You look fit and healthy. Yeah, exactly. Is it? Yeah. I mean, the good thing is,
26:46
I'd be thinking this guy wants steroids for sure. And so what did you set aside before I said, what sort of questions do you think they'll ask? And I can't even remember how you said the word. What did you say? I said, how often you masturbate.
27:00
Master
27:01
mistake whoa you actually actually say that master But yeah, I don't know why
27:08
have you heard master but yeah yeah you say master I don't know why it's not like how I say man Dawson seven no don't tell you funny no no it's just I've just always said that masturbate yeah yes it's easy to remember the spelling master
27:27
anyway la fact of the day sir la fact of the day so there's a museum in LA called Getty Museum and it has one of the most iconic collections of art in the world and it's also known for its architecture and gardens This was talking about yesterday.
27:42
He the Getty Museum employs hundreds of goats to do its landscaping, letting the animals graze on the grass and bushes keeping everything looking neat and tidy. Like they paying 501 What does it look like super? The American version of Sabre your employing these guys
28:00
The majority on say the gods rising in just a certain time of you yeah definitely getting into the winter ish Do you think it'd be nice like like more October's meant to November is meant to be the rainy season of La yeah she's not much we nearly got a shape when I was growing up Did you to look after the grass we had a land like our school had a bunch of sheep and a lot like there was a Lamb that was like a rant or whatever it's a name Frankie and Frankie got to stay you know, classroom and be able to feed and stuff I wonder if that's pulled back on like animal like keeping animal pets in classrooms and shit now? I feel like it's probably a good
28:44
good thing. Did you have chickens? Yeah, baby chicken. Do you like chicken Rice's and stuff tonight? Not Rice's. It wasn't cockfights and stuff.
28:53
But a ball would either
28:56
Primary School razor blades on their face Yeah.
29:00
What would the worms the silkworms silk worms, low level I remember the smell of them hamsters, not hamsters, the guinea pig versions. But anyway, thanks for the fact of the day we got an email I got an email from Lucy. Hi guys. Just wanted to say a quick hello and let you know how much I've been loving the show. just discovered a couple of weeks ago after hearing it mentioned on the shameless podcast and heck, I've been busy catching up. I'm a uni student here in Melbourne, just finishing my law, Science degrees was loving the penalty unit chat the other day who said law can't be fun. I'm also a vegetarian. You can do it Josh. And you know, it sort of seems like you're missing out on stuff at the start. But once you find substitutes that work for you, it is so good and yummy. I don't feel like I'm missing out at all. By the way. When you have a

packet there's nothing that you're not missing. For me. It's Hillary aka crack. veggie Bolin is using quantum

I love how your show feels like listening in on a little chinwag between mates. I think it is legitimately impressive how the show can go from insightful discussions on career in relationships, to ways you could subtly conceal the fact that you were smelling your finger after picking your nose and you're sniffing your foot as well. Then

this is what we need in our lives. Thanks for listening. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to every day. I will
