Fridays are all really, really hungry. I think we're at the like the limits of our hunger levels before we all start punching each other's heads. In fact, Friday, so
0:18
I'm actually not feeling I was grumpy. Yes. Very good today. I was
0:22
actually listening to yesterday's episode. Just a little bit. And you said you're annoyed at me. It was because you hadn't eaten. That's why
0:30
I was on a two day. Yeah.
0:32
I think you need a camera today. If it means that morale in the office is low between you and
0:36
us today. I think I get upset. I get a bit. It hurts my feelings. Sometimes when you tell me what to do. I was watching Jason PJ who's a breakfast Breakfast Show here in Australia. Yeah, in Melbourne. You know, they do the Breakfast Show. Yeah, right. They were doing a 56 hour livestream. They're still going.
0:55
I just have they still going still going until 2pm. Today, so
0:59
which is the final hour It's Friday.
1:01
They started Wednesday morning at 6am. That's
1:04
the thing is that I started get when I get into something and start watching it. I cannot help but wanting to consume it and you wanted to do the show. I didn't to be fair. It's with the lights and stuff. He it's sort of like a casino. You don't know what the time is Hokies. Like I said yesterday, I didn't really i thought was 2pm when you're like you're leaving, I look it was like 530. So
1:27
we've pretty much blacked out this room. So let's
1:31
get rid of that hair. That's the
1:33
thing is I've got long hair now. And so my hair is like I always used to get furious at me. Just like Oh, can you please. You know, how are you bold? Is the amount of Hey, that's women, old people with long hair that I've realized now just lose just comes out. And so like I'm now a perpetrator of leaving hair and but it's not paid because I can get off Hey, maybe you've experienced something from I didn't
1:57
say anytime I say any sort of cube you get your hair I think you if you get a few
2:02
that long, it's mine because I'm fucking taking care of business. I really yeah, I take care of business. I'm not like your Nick beard and the cut what comes out the top of your shirt. But Amy did say that she she got this sandwich and she's like, what have you ever got a Cuban your food? And she's like, as she said that to me? And I might not. She's like, yeah, so I got the sandwich off this big sweaty guy, fat guy who was making it and who was lovely. And she took the bite in first bite. Like it must have been a chest hair. absolutely disgusting. Anyway, I hope we get none of that. Because today's Friday is all thanks to Marianne. So Mary. Marianne.
2:46
Sorry, lovely. We don't have the Yeah, we've actually got a label just kind of Game Boys. Here we go.
2:52
That's lovely. I like that. So Marianne reached out to us. She heard I am went on one of Craig happens camps about 10 years ago. It's amazing. And so she reached out and said, I love what you guys are doing. I want to support you guys. I'd love to share your fat Friday. I want to pay it forward. So lovely. Like, first of all, you go this person bit weird, which I read the message is to me She's like, not weird. And then when I spoke to her yesterday, she said, Look, I'm not crazy. And I can say she's not crazy. It's she's just someone who is lovely and pays it forward. And she she told me a bunch of stuff, which I don't think I need to go into. But she was just telling me about things she's done to pay it forward. And the whole point is, she doesn't want to be known for paying it forward. Yeah, so we're like revealing her but I think we need to as far as the story Yeah.
3:42
Marion's a legend, Marianne, but you're absolutely so the thing is that we it's been a very busy day today. I've got six edits, do lots of stuff happening. And so we've been trying to time it all quite well. So about 10 minutes ago. The overwrites guy. Yeah, press the door. So you basically said to Marianne, Marianne, can you please just just send us whatever it's your choice. She gave us the options cash,
4:09
or I can do a surprise over its delivery. And I thought
4:12
that's so good. Ready to do. Can you go get that so we got three to do to put it in the kitchen so that we couldn't say it? I think it's fun yet to I'm very excited. I made it. So like, why he's got it. Great. So I'm going to close my eyes. And so can you just sort of which we do? Get my eyes closed? You want me to play it? Yeah.
4:33
Maybe just Can you crack the bag?
4:38
He's got a good snack on him. Yeah,
4:41
definitely.
4:42
I can smell it carefully. Going at a shot. Don't go any further ado, we'll come to you don't go back to my shot. Okay, he's now have a shot. See sniff sniff hard. snippet. He's got his nose in it. You need to go to our YouTube channel. Daddy talk show
4:56
and watch this. It's Asian I think let me have almost no,
5:01
let me smell. Okay. I'm smelling to you know what comes to mind. Jimmy Chang?
5:06
I think Jimmy Janssen No, no, not Mexican at all. I think it's something along the lines of a dumpling. Okay. Okay, so can I open my eyes? Yeah. Okay. And so now Can you can you with us my eyes. I saw now Can you can you start? I still don't want to know so I look away.
5:21
I just saw something.
5:23
Okay. Can you get something so it's closer to my snout so I can have a proper Yeah, yeah. Okay. Don't open your eyes. Don't open your eyes. Tell me when if
5:34
the chip
5:39
first little bit of a chip. So there's a nice chips on top. Oh, no.
5:45
No, is it impressive if I can tell you where the chips are from? I reckon that no. make a mess. They hurt. They're good quality. I reckon I'm trying to think of definitely isn't isn't often on it.
5:59
I don't know But Miss 97 Can you read out what was sent through on a text message? Oh, yeah. I sent it to you man. It's on your phone or you might want that actual idea because I didn't understand it. I can I keep opening
6:12
let's get into it. Go for it. All right. Okay, so what have we got? So I believe it is on it Berg is Josh
6:22
I got it.
6:23
How good is that? That's pretty good.
6:26
I've never eaten it on it. So I'm pretty
6:27
nice. Can you believe that my vulnerability insight like it takes a lot for me to actually say what burger place I think
6:37
a lot for me to say that I was wrong. But no still.
6:40
I could have a look at this.
6:42
Yes. So
6:44
Oh, yes. It's one of these like black
6:47
Oh, I see what she's done. She sent through the names of the burgers, which I didn't still get because it's on here now. Yeah,
6:53
I got the number one Filipino hero
6:56
Yeah. Oh wow. Three day delay hold up Hey, no, yeah,
7:00
can you hear
7:02

7:07
open up these two? So the fried chicken one is going to be false
7:13
because the onion rings
7:14
yeah that black Can you open up your
7:19
label? The black
7:20

7:22
Um Wow. That is so good. So what is everyone going to get? I want
7:27
the jalapeno one if that's okay, go
7:29
okay. So you have the jalapeno one smoking have the black one three day do is you're the guest I think that's a fucking Primo
7:36
smokey Joyce is for Mr. 90 said the fried
7:38
chick. He happy with chicken very happy is it? Yeah, we don't know if it's free. Right. Well, you ate it will be right. We'll be right.
7:46
Well, yeah, yeah. Oh, yes. Marianne, thank you very much. This is my dad died. I think I might have dies the rest of the days of our lives. Yeah.
7:55
My dad is it sounds like a song doesn't it made? No, it's
7:58
it's so good. Like, I come who didn't think about this earlier like having other than than having a guest on the show. Do it. He did a surprise order. Yeah.
8:05
Most and mushy Mason,
8:07
I had a moment where it before I was like, imagine if people just look up at big media companies and dress and we just start getting people to start trolling and sending. We didn't know that.
8:22
You know? Well, I know. I was watching. Listening to Howard Stern Yeah, they have a whole security thing like they're very particular because they get they're worried that you know someone's someone's gonna fucking kill Howard put something in a cupcake
8:34
dude, we went to thanks to Ben Holland we went to Howard Stern studio or we got as far as we could.
8:40
Sirius XM in the building we got as far as record as to how instance studio which is
8:47
very much fucking bunk and behind
8:48
that wall behind a wall type of it. Yeah,
8:50
I got it. I got a little video through the thick glass looking in. But it's amazing. We heard that brisket thing that he's brisket. Oh my god. Let's take a break. He broke or something. Isn't it seven? What's the one that says TL TL? Is that it? Is that something?
9:07
Something like ribs or something?
9:09
Right. tradesmen try Edmonds crack
9:14
and make this is about the closest you'll come to being in trading. Right I'm having by Mr. Nice having can you tell us about your experience last night with the photos that went up the traction you got pretty good night tell us
9:28
yeah, we we get a lot of feedback Tommy it was Yeah, you Tommy
9:34
Tommy uploaded a little face swap photo. You swapped out my living my little baby face for Tommy's Tommy's head.
9:45
But it was all because tell us why though.
9:48
Why? Because we uploaded a video of me at choir. Yeah,
9:52
your band is useless Rachel boxing.
9:57
Now I had a cute little uniform on.
10:00
There was one time where I was like, oh, man, if if I was sick, I'll get it. If I was sick, Miss nice haven't good feeling for me. Yeah. See what happens when he doesn't have a little bit of prompting? Before like, he's what would you tell if you were if you had to do the show with a three day deal right now? And I know there's food on my fuckin face. Very hard to hold
10:24
doesn't even look like it could be mistaken for something else.
10:27
Like bottles like bodily fluids. Anyway, sour cream on my face, but I'm about to get it off in a second. Do we have Soviets? Yeah, we do. It's in the bag of David. Okay. Okay. Thank you for a deal. And Mr. 97. Can you spend the next it's not very good for video because people can't see you spend the next two minutes doing your own podcast average? Yeah, starting off with who's going to be who who's more likely to be like me? Who's more likely to be like Tommy I don't know
10:58
if that's saying that they don't lock either.
11:01
Ever how we are as people? I think Mr. 97 is more likely to be Tommy based on health. Yeah.
11:11
Although yesterday someone asked deal. Didn't they say in the studio that and now like somebody around? Who are someone commented and said, because we put up put up a photo of our new studio. It's on our Instagram rules like something around we were talking about this morning. They're like, yeah, they looked at Mr. 97 and Josh
11:34
and said something about our brothers know the tool, you know?
11:38
Oh, yeah. So Amy came in the other day. And she looked at the new desk we had built Yeah, a
11:47
lot of channels. And,
11:49
and she was talking about the desk that we had made for 97 for his new producing desk. Yes, we got new IMAX looks great. It looks phenomenal. I
11:59
put it together. Yeah,
12:01
I was the one that put it together. But she said she looked at Josh and Mason said it's so good to have these handy people around and Josh and Mason are looking at each other like they don't even know what the fucking drill is. Yeah, pretty much so i mean i would i wouldn't consider myself super handy but I know my way around a few power tools but you know
12:23
the difference between fucking Thunderbolt three and two? Yeah, yeah,
12:26
not at all. You'll be USB a Yeah, yeah.
12:30
So most has the
12:33
evening video so has he's the best version of Josh Yeah, yeah, you should strive to be like him. Although
12:39
I was saying I reckon Mr. 97 is getting into Jordan Michael ladies vibes. Because I was He's
12:49
Mr. nine seven has been doing this thing with his mouth like this.
12:53
You gotta watch a video for it. But it looks like it's Dr. Reaching or something that's solid. Dr. Rachel, what were you doing? What are you trying to do now? my easel a little block is a bit of a cold at the moment. And so I said try to unblock what I said just hold your nose and give a little bit of pressure. Is it? Oh, no. Yeah, he's worried that something's
13:12
gonna like pop a blood vessel. Awesome.
13:14
I'm Craig hapa. His latest episode. He got like a block the mid and he had these like, Can we turn this off? I just get it quickly because he was doing this thing. I think it's very common like the block the his thing there. It just looks a bit odd.
13:28
I think that Mr. 97 might have a bit of orthorexia.
13:32
What is orthorexia. Me, can you look up the
13:36
definition of orthorexia orthorexia.
13:37
I tell you what, this is unbelievable. Moran. The jalapeno one is out right. Yeah.
13:44
And obsession with eating food that one considers healthy. Okay, so you met Josh Yeah,
13:50
so this is exactly what I meant. Okay.
13:54
And have you do you think that that's a fair? Yeah, yeah,
13:57
I think that's a fair assumption.
14:00
To be To be honest, when you are
14:03
you won't even have a hot chocolate when
14:06
you really have to think from the outside. It does look weird, but like when I was working in jeans and stuff I like my diet was so spot on. I was like, a bit fucking obsessed. I think there's a lot of stuff that you need to hone in on and become obsessed with. To then find the middle ground. I think I found the middle ground admiring myself in the mirror last night. I don't do it that much anymore. I don't do that much anymore. And I don't train as hard as I used to. But I think the meditating every day the gym every second day. Watching mostly what I ease but being still pretty loose like this week. I've been fark and loose
14:41
we do this. We didn't put out the Throwback Thursday for Briggs and we can do a fashion
14:47
flashback for that. Yeah, we can just great
14:49
they just move Throwback Thursday into flashback Friday because you're
14:55
saying back Sunday.
14:57
The Did you something from seven which says on a Sunday?
15:01
Did you? You showed you Reagan there you lifted up your top? I was just being silly. But uh, definitely better shape now than you were then do you think, um,
15:10
I'd come off the back of being in really good shape in terms of before I got into radio, and had that I mean, this is everyone's excuse me gets fat in radio, is that it's the radio that do it. Well, there are the hours. But and I was highly distracted from any of that surprised, and I was super tired training when I was in shepherd. And so I didn't try to hide. But I'd come off the back of being a PT for seven, eight years, I was really thinking my legs were still really solid. Like, I've got a photo of my legs in when I just got to sharpen something that we do. Are we classic? Had my legs waxed. And I just had this photo but they were much better than than they are now. So I was probably still in that love myself seek. But then I got out of that. And so I anyway, I was just looking at myself last one thing, bad for not training as hard as they used to and just having a more consistent approach.
16:04
Mr. 97? What is it about the whole thing? What is actually when you say no to a hot chocolate? What do you actually thinking?
16:14
Well, I think the whole thing stems from an obsession with the result of eating healthy so you'd like if I feel good when I healthy. So that's that's the thing that I'm obsessed with. I want to feel good all the time. So that's why it helps to hang out with us.
16:31
So have you had Have you been the other way though? Now because it's
16:34
like so you don't So did you get that is your mom and dad hectic about this stuff to have to be
16:41
now I think I think I've sort of enforce it on a lot of the family. Like with with like all of our Dean
16:49
embossing shit. I don't want to live with the enforcer. Yeah,
16:52
well, no all we've just like which started to include like way more veggies at dinner, that sort
16:57
of thing. You begin forcing other I mean veggies in data. That's, that's fair.
17:02
We have to geek out on this stuff, though for really to have impact
17:06
macros how much you thinking about macros?
17:09
Pretty much Not at all,
17:10
ya know, which is good. I don't mean geek out in the macros and the numbers and stuff. It's more geek out in the types of food, the stuff that's good for your body working at your system. Yeah, I mean, if you thought as much about that stuff as you did about computers and tech Josh, it's just anyone you know, if you thought about hunting, you'd be probably a good hunter. Yeah, you probably get eaten by bear.
17:33
No, but I definitely I you can't underestimate the power of obsession. Yeah.
17:39
And do you think do you think when does it session become a negative?
17:48
I don't know. I don't think like to be clear. I don't think missing it. Seven like your I don't think your obsession is actually negative. I think it's like a positive one. Do you have any any obsessions, right? I do.
17:58
I used to be really obsessed with food being healthy,
18:00
really. And then you had 17 pies. It
18:04
was it was in my second year of college. And like I was I was training on the bike like every single day. And I was just trying to optimize the food that I ate as much as humanly possible. Like I would eat white rice over brown rice on certain days, or brown rice over white rice on certain days. Just because I like I looked at it to analytically I think in terms of calorie wise and macro wise. I was just, I was almost too serious with it. Yeah. And it just it became exhausting to constantly like measure everything out and track everything. So I kind of just eat to feel now and it's like I can eyeball it's like okay, I know I need veggies, so I'm just gonna throw some throw some broccoli in the steam room.
18:45
Yesterday podcast with Joe Rogan. I
18:47
sent it to you. I've started watching you watch it. I watch it. Yes. Be guys, doesn't he? Yeah. What's his name? You is an investor.
18:55
He's a tech investor. Yeah, angel investor. Looking at so amazing. I just love the way he talks. He just he's so smart. And he just sounds like he's a lovely guy. But they were talking about Warren Warren Buffett. Who who's the one that eats macros every day? Yeah.
19:12
Or Warren Buffett, who has like six cokes a day? Oh, yeah. Yeah.
19:16
That was saying, you know, he spends most of his days playing bridge. And, you know, he's low stress for the type of life that he actually has. He's, you know, responsible for thousands of thousands of miles. He has low stress. And I was saying about how Joe was like, he eats like shit, though. Yeah, he's like, low stress is the one of the most important things. And so it's like,
19:42
so you're saying if if I'm less stressful eating Big Macs, you'd be cool with it.
19:47
Well, I think if you were really low stress, and you probably meditated every day and nothing really faze you too much. You weren't anxious. I think maybe what was that was? Food maybe bad food? Isn't the thing that will kill you. More More than what stress and stress will kill you quicker than food will? Yeah.
20:07
So it sounds you know that sounds nice. I was
20:11
listening going. This is fucking
20:12
appealing. That's why it takes you inside. Right? You know why I also liked that he was talking about he says to people, I'm a happy person. Yeah, that was good, wasn't it? that's similar to the thing you're talking about the other day, which was like good things happen to us. Yeah.
20:25
Little mantra good things happen, which
20:26
good things happen to us. I feel.
20:30
I feel like it's like I don't like it as much Why think good things happen to us makes maybe this it's a bit grandiose. It's like our that Where's somewhat special. Which I sort of, I just think like, you know,
20:45
I mean, it's nice to be called special, like Maryann said to me on the phone. Yes, I think so. Again.
20:52
she she she met me at the time that I was 20 Yeah, I remember I was with my girlfriend at the time Jesse. I was like, just need to find myself a bit. I wasn't that happy. And I went I went on Craigs camp because I was like, wanting to work a whole lot of stuff. You say Jesse, Jesse was my girlfriend.
21:12
You've never heard that before? No, I haven't. She's your routine. She
21:18
is a serious girlfriend for a couple of years. And we're adults. Alright, so a bit different. All this dog
21:24
probably kissed as well Josh
21:27
if that's what I call it. Anyway, just yeah, we can. We can. Anyhow, it's not the point of the story talking about her. I won't bring names into it again.
21:37
But you did who broke up with her?
21:41
Ah,
21:41
that was I saw
21:43
never officially broke up. It's still a
21:45
story. I don't want to get into Yeah, but there's with me. But I I had this shitty belief, which is great. Because it was a great belief in hindsight, now that I'm with my beautiful wife, I'm you know, I have little bubble boy, buddy. But I had this belief that I couldn't get further in my career. Being in a relationship. Whether whether it's true or not, is another thing. You guys have written the storm. I think most couples that are together from that, like teen into the late 30s. and beyond. They write a storm of its internal. It's like, I want to I need to explore the world. I don't want to be held down. Yeah. And I think my brother has done it. I think you've done it. You get through this period, which like, this is fucking amazing. We're actually using what we have that most people don't to
22:31
our advantage. Well, there's an alignment thing. Yeah, like in a very practical level. It's like Oh, fuck, we can actually share the cost of a hotel. Yeah. And we could try like brain I traveled for four months or whatever. Now you're talking Mason's talk? Yeah,
22:43
exactly.
22:44
Oh, my gosh, I know. I need my space. She has her room. I have mine.
22:51
Anyway, so I thought
22:52
maybe we could have your dining room.
22:54
Marion, and I met at Christ campus I said, and I was 20 he was going through that period of time. I think I was still with the Jesse
23:04
Jesse human rights hang and I'm you've never said
23:07
I don't really care. It's so long ago now. Like I've been. I mean, I almost about to celebrate a third year end of
23:13
wedding anniversary. Wow. Never crazy. wasn't invited to his wedding. Yeah, now the story
23:18
just is that we can do it again. bag. What I've
23:22
that's why I
23:25
did it. Now. I would let you MC it. You don't drink. I was hoping best man. I went my brothers. It's such an easy one. If you got to. I've got two brothers went with him for my I didn't have a best man. I had to, to have the captain and I,
23:40
you know, Jimmy, with just our hands sort of, you know, you sort of put your hands together like covering your penis for some reason.
23:48
You're handcuffed anyway. So
23:50
actually, all your mates were there on parole or whatever.
23:53
Really nice. Anyway, so a matter of the time that I was explored, and I was just felt so restless. Yeah, I think a lot of people go through this. And I've definitely got weather that restless storm. And I broke up with her and I went down this mission of, you know, getting into media, and I made a lot of things happen in my career, which was amazing, but Marion said the nicest thing which I think everyone I'd never I'd never I'm not going to take in compliments on anything. But Marion said that she on the camp was looking at her friend that she was there with and said Tommy
24:28
is going to go pies. And that's when you hear that as like,
24:31
what do you mean you don't take a word you say I'll fuck yeah,
24:33
Mary. Like in the past, I've been pulled up for not taking compliments. I think I think most people don't. And so I just lean into and say, Oh, thanks so much. That's so nice. Or That's so kind like I genuinely feel that and so she said to her friend Yeah, I reckon he'll, you know, do things and then she said, I thought you popped up with, you know, on Craigs podcast on the project, you know, you've seen me around sounds amazing. And then we've reconnected now that's, she's now going forward, but I was why was I saying that story? I can't
25:03
remember. I sorry, I derailed you with
25:06
the X the X chat. But what I was going to talk about talking about exes are friends, Michelle and Zara have their new podcast is called Love, etc.
25:17
Can we call you the Segway King on the shot?
25:21
really late on a great segue. If you're not
25:27
100% all what's amateur is the Segway. I think I made your amateur segue. Because it's fucking smooth
25:35
segue.
25:38
To be honest, when you said speaking of exes, and then you
25:42
know, we date them fucking
25:45
could you link the Segway was I know it's shit right here with shit. podcasting when we dissect what we're doing,
25:52
we can go a bit meta? Yeah,
25:54
I was I was still thinking about x's. And when you brought up exes shameless,
26:00
you assumed that
26:05
they have it they have a new podcast called love etc. And now I guess with Bumble interestingly, Mr. 97 was saying Bumble have not only do they have a dating section, but they also have a professional connection is what like you can you can add people like LinkedIn Yeah,
26:24
we're on the website on Bumble on the app. Yeah,
26:26
I think I've got an idea I should read it somewhere that they've got like multiple sex
26:30
women would have the idea Josh and I are all burnt
26:34
out units or we just got some news from Peter Shepherd international donut day.
26:40
So ru ru night and this through so send it through. We have we have missed it.
26:47
Like what am I doing on Monday?
26:49
night? Definitely no, no, no no. Why yes No, man because Monday I want to keep my dog I know it's like we're going into the long weekend and Queen's Birthday and I will definitely haven't done it I
26:59
know we got because shortstop can we get shortstop delivered?
27:01
I think if we do I think we do today you celebrate fire Friday would maybe put some pumps and music in the office. Maybe Mason will give us a you know a few bars
27:11
was here we go.
27:12
We do things into an Instagram story about
27:14
share the love.
27:17
I mean, Bray was talking about she just randomly. We've been so wide lightly on our phones. But anyway, go check out their new podcast. It's very good. It is. I listened to the whole thing this morning. Mr. 97 listened to it all as well. Could he get something out of it? Did you What did you get anything as
27:34
a as in for himself? A lot of tips are not this is more about like the first episode was born like hot breaking stuff. But I thought that was really good because I would like to have you know, but like, I mean, Tsar Michelle was opening up a lot in is really like raw and honest. I was like, Yeah, it's great. It's commendable. I actually like it.
27:51
Even more than shameless because the My favorite part of shameless sees the first like five minutes when they like what you've been up to, for the way I've talked about them? Yeah, so these and this was just that it was just, I don't know all the celebrities. And so but when they're talking about like I yeah, like Zara was talking about her breakup, which funnily if you go to our episode, ah, this was early day, we put our foot in it. Well, I said something and then I didn't put a foot I was I'd like to I pride myself on I'm quite good with a few things. Picking redundancies if someone's going to be made redundant and within a business, I sort of know first you know, first from how I was just very good at understanding people's moods and everything and how it was going to go that was an in previous job. HR would get really frustrated because i would i would front foot it to him I Hey, guys, just so you know, I reckon x y&z it's going to happen. And then I would, it's so annoying, though. Like it's upset mode, people being over done. Quick. You read the glass door? reviews? I didn't. Actually I did do a lot of work. But they they just like my finger. Yeah, but people the telltale signs specifically for
29:15
quitting a job? Is LinkedIn activity. Oh, yeah.
29:19
I think one of your best pieces of advice is was don't wait till you get fired to update your LinkedIn. Exactly. Yeah.
29:26
Don't wait until you have a fight with your boss before you start putting in your education information into LinkedIn.
29:33
Just
29:34
Just do it every few weeks. Yeah,
29:36
I tell you what, there's a lot of gronk out there though, that don't want to work. Like in I get it if you can't work. So Amy's been trying to find some people to do some contract work. She's taken a whole lot of resumes and also taken a whole lot that just sin dot points through. Like, this is ridiculous. Like, literally dot points of just is what I've done. Not even originally booked in interviews. And it gets to the time 1130 the meetings meant to happen. The boss calls this person says, Hey, man, it's Ba ba ba ba ba ba. I yeah, I'm just calling about the interview you've got at 1130 to 1135. So Oh, yeah, I'm just I'm not gonna make it. I'm just on the way there center link. So what this means is
30:29
be pretty fucking they're not hiring a CFO.
30:32
They definitely aren't trading. But the point is that people you know, everyone wants to fucking work. Yeah, it's
30:39
gronk town. Yeah.
30:40
One thing that I do love about Mr. 97 is how hard he works.
30:45
I mean, first job, you're doing a stellar job.
30:48
And I was telling Brian I was like he keeps me accountable. Well, you're because he's because I tend to dad around and what sort of thing and he is very good at like, his puts these ideas take the energy I do the things that I am telling myself. Yeah Josh do the thing. But I say to like Miss 97. I say, hey, do the thing. Yeah, he's like, puts his headphones on works all that like six hours. I
31:13
said to you yesterday, man, I don't think I'm work as hard as this is maybe like we've done a whole heap of hot. Yeah,
31:19
I think it's different types of work to like, we've got the show. And we're doing all that sort of thing. And then we have our client work, which we were just taking on work at the moment, we're lucky that we're in a position where all the projects we have we love, and they're all great clients, and so that it works out really well. But the thing that I noticed is just how efficient I can be by just getting Mr. Nice seven to do awesome things. I mean, we need seven of him.
31:45
Hey, um, did you find out who was on Joe Rogan that we're talking about? Yeah, his name was Novell, rather can't SoCal anyway, he's owns a tech company. And he said that he wants all of his staff, and he will help them start their own business is in the future of work, he thinks looks like small sprints. So he thinks it'll be like a it's almost like a, a task a bit, not mundane task, not simple stuff. It will be like the gig
32:13
economy, it will be like, Yeah,
32:15
but he takes it even further of like,
32:19
you say you were proficient Mr. Nice. editing, right? And, and so you can see your task get pushed through to you, that is a project where you could sprint for three weeks, four weeks, and then not work for a heap of time. And so it's about He's like, we don't want to be working all the time. And stressed and you know, anxious. So you just work really hard for short periods and have, you know, been to Haiti.
32:42
Well, I think the other thing too, is love the sound of it. We, I think we're always working to I think like, that's the other thing is it's, we just I think you and I are pretty similar in the things that we want to do. We're so so good at and we spent so much time on it. And I guess that's what's good about having a team if we can obsess on the things that we're really good at. And then have other people doing the things that we're not good at. Yeah, that feels like a better outcome than spending years and years and years trying to get better at the shit that we're not good at. 100% I
33:15
mean, I even feel with with us every Friday, we do like a retrospect, at the end of the day where we talk about what's happened for the gratitude session. Yeah, like it. Do. We want to do it now. I thought we could do it now. Yeah.
33:26
But start with right. Oh, yeah. Three to do. What are you grateful for?
33:31
For the week?
33:32
What am I grateful for, for the week, the opportunity to showcase what I'm capable of, and how that can relate to the daily talk show and big media company. Yeah, like with, even with building the desk, getting stuff set up for the studio, going into buntings going into buntings and just getting stuff so that we can situate that but not even that. I'm capable of buying things. It's like I'm that you guys are entrusting me with the responsibility to take care of certain things around the studio that then push forward and are relevant to how we all move forward Josh to
34:07
give you his pin number for
34:10
I was gonna mention that because I'm sure if anything, if I have a fraud case, which based on you being my business partners, likely, they they get funny about giving pins, I'd pull you aside and just say, Man, it's still
34:24
my look at this. All right, I was just thinking about a Melbourne football club player
34:29
ex player.
34:31
I actually shouldn't say he's
34:34
got really dark, he passed away. He's in a car crash. I won't say it anyway. Okay, so that was used to company credit card for something.
34:42
Anyway, that's it. Okay. Mr. 97? That was very good. Three day deal. Thank you, Jerry. Amazing.
34:47
I just want to say that also, maybe we say something. Oh, yes, yes. Yes. Can I do that?
34:53
I'm grateful for deal and he's ability to be autonomous, to be creative, able to be able to work it out without having to like I'm never worried. Yeah, and I'm also in he's just like missing 97 you were even saying that a lot of your classmates weren't necessarily like they would sort of wait until the last minute to do stuff and cram and things like that. And one thing the three day deal prides himself on is not doing that and actually like getting the work done. And so I'm very grateful because that's not my personality is like let's cram last minute last minute things anxious you know, I haven't been that anxious maybe I should be
35:34
nine and I don't want you to be I don't want you like I think we can I think we noticed that like if even things push on my
35:41
I appreciate it. I appreciate that. Yeah,
35:43
I won't go into what I'm grateful for but I just love that we can trust you. And you you work really hard. Thank you. You're good vibe around the office.
35:52
I try sure it's a nice ride.
35:57
I think I think having a regional shoot during the week it sort of helps me to realize how good everything is at the moment and how how grateful and lucky I am to be doing what I'm doing yet just the fact that we can go up and have an awesome shoot with an awesome client and then we can also do the show and pump all of it out. Yeah, it's really cool I'm
36:23
doing it I want to say what you're grateful for for
36:25
Yeah, the workhorse the young I mean I'm thinking that it's probably him he's got the highest testosterone to deal with the amount of work he can put in yeah
36:34
not being not getting motion sick him not getting much sleep. I'm grateful for his head in the car. Yeah, I would have vomited on my
36:42
had a bit of a baby boy cold, which is pushed through. He's not someone that I mean first jobs. A lot of people wouldn't probably just Bitsy can be feeling rundown, but he I feel like you treat this business and this show like it's your own. Which I want you to Yeah, yeah,
36:58
it's not my ears are ringing that
37:03
happens. Yeah, I think it's my tinnitus whenever they will be nice, I think.
37:07
For all of us. Yeah, that going away getting everything together. I feel like from from a zoomed out position. I feel like this team is quite coherent. And everyone is really fucking operating as as a solid. Marty doc vape.
37:28
Should we watch? Should we make it as a bit of a package? Should we all watch separately? Mighty Ducks tonight?
37:35
Not really. I'd rather have a movie night with all of us in the studio here. That'd be fun
37:39
bit of john wick. Yeah, john, when he's back. He's good. We can watch one, two.
37:45
Okay. And I'm sure
37:48
we're actually from somewhere online? Absolutely not. But if you are, if you're a TV company we're looking for to those
37:55
hundred percent. We're looking for some big screens. Yeah.
37:58
And so we want to do it to do a hashtag deal. Williamstown?
38:02
What do you What are you grateful for? And then sign up?
38:06
For the whole show? Yeah,
38:07
we've been going for like, how
38:08
long have we gone for 38 minutes? Yes.
38:11
Fuck,
38:12
this show has flown by hasn't because we were powered by Marion's or
38:16
your Thank you. I'm grateful.
38:19
Bro. Broadly speaking, I'm grateful for the people who listen and watch and contribute online like the numbers have been going up and seeing the interactions to I'm grateful for that the people actually think that were worth consuming, which is unbelievable. In regards to the overall thing, I'm just grateful. I'm just grateful that we have a team that like, is happy. Isn't that like that? I think that's part of it. It's like, we're effective. We're happy. And it feels like everyone's pulling their white and contributing. has purpose. Yeah.
39:01
I've wanted to create a team for a long time. I've thought about it a lot of obsessed about it. And I knit and I it's funny how things happen, Ryan.
39:11
So who would have thought that this was the way that was going to happen? Yeah. And just think about if it was if we did it any other way had different like being a partnership and then having the team has been so much easier because it feels like with if we were doing if we just had a team and it was solo would have to do the work on ourselves on everyone else. But feels like you and I have gone through the shit storm that partnerships do to then come at the end of like, actually being good for us, but also good for the whole team. Yeah, go quick, go alone
39:45
go far go together. It definitely feels like that's how you can really see how that's a true sigh. Yes.
39:52
That's a daily talk show. Marianne, thanks so much. Before we go, I do want to say the height Tiger link is the coupon stuff. There's been a half a dozen people who have taken us up, they've gotten the patches in the mail. So it's still on I think till the 26th of June 26 of June. If you go to Hey, Tiger calm today, you do an order and use the coupon code, the daily talk show, you'll get a free mystery media bar plus
40:26
stickers and the patches of the daily talk show. It's not a discount code. It's an add on so you get free stuff. Yeah, because Derek scooter Derek Yeah, order. And he's like, there was no discount. But I still bought it a night night. Yeah,
40:38
man. Listen to what we say.
40:42
And he got the car. He did the notes. He he put a bunch of notes. Yeah, it was like, and so Bry was told that she had to rather than getting it delivered to give it to me and I'll give it to him. Yeah,
40:53
that was on the site. That's dangerous.
40:54
It's so dangerous. But the thing is, it's still fucking at my part. Like I know, well, the thing was, that it was like a little extra chocolate outside the bag. I had God is like a sandwich. Yeah, God, just give us Derek and then he didn't have it. I can what I ended up telling him on I was on the phone yesterday with him. I said hi scooter. Just saying which, you know, he loves being called scooter. scooter, might I your I didn't read the Mystery Mini because that would be eating part of his order. But I did a sample thing.
41:28
So much of my life is based my book.
41:32
So Exactly. That's a very good reference. I talked about the book, The Seth Godin stuffs happening as well. July one is going to be a big announcements July one, put it in the calendar.
41:44
Seriously put it in the calendar productions happening up? What do you hope you can do? I like it, we've got a lot of work, a lot of shows to produce just with the Seth Godin. Let's just just bring it up. So just maybe touch base one more time before the end of the month. And, and if you don't, don't we'll just skip it.
42:00

42:20

42:23
It prepares people have their party not on their birthday. It makes sense.
42:27
I mean, my birthday fell on a Saturday. What am I 30 Let's have fun grades. That was good on my birthday this year. Sunday, Father's Day and my birthday. Good things happen. Boom. Good things happen to me. Other than I mean the good thing that happened when I was born for my sake it's
42:43

42:51

42:55
Probably not. She wouldn't take someone
42:56
