It's the daily Talk Show Episode 699.
0:08
Mo, what's happening guys? What's going on? Happy Saturday.
0:13
And how do you you don't say Happy ANZAC Day You decide. It's ANZAC Day here in Australia
0:18
at the moment. Yeah. And actually, this morning we had our window open could hear the trumpet in the morning doing was great.
0:28
I wonder if this is like I've seen on Instagram I saw a paper with someone else to wake I saw Randy lead playing the trumpet. And now you're saying but I wonder if it's because of the lockdown or the isolation that ever that there is more sort of noise being made from home rather than you go to the dawn service and things like that. I mean, it is yeah, so it's like
0:54
it's like yeah, there's no dawn services this year because of the
0:59
all the rules Yeah, yeah, I mean, everyone I went last year to mate i think you know when to make Craig Harper on this day last year and we absolutely fact it because the thing is I met him at 9am and every cafe near like the RSL so it's like it was flooding so this you know, so many people are out it's a wee wee time, isn't it? We just can't do things that are, you know, honouring people that have, you know,
1:27
I think that's why we're sort of shifting things and finding new ways to do it. But there is something nice about the tradition. I feel like I'm someone who, I forgot all these things that you did as a kid and I wish that I sort of could get back into I feel like as an adult, I sort of moved away from you. Okay, TJ I feel like yeah, babies cry. Okay, there's
1:54
a lot happening, guys and the guy sleeping. The you know, I feel like when I was a kid Do all that sort of stuff, but it can get lost, you almost need to refined some of these things like these rituals, like getting involved in this stuff. And, and I mean, to like son, I mean, I've found it interesting now being a parent thinking about that. It's like, you've got the chance now to form the rituals. Yeah, he said the exact same thing. She says, Nick, I want to be the family that gets up at 6am before dawn and, and goes to a dawn service. And it's like, it is just a choice. Right. But a lot of them are inherited from family from parents. That decided it previously. Did you have the choice to
2:39
Sunday rice?
2:41
We did Friday night. Efficient chips Friday night should have been here. What else is there? I mean, it's more like Christmas time long drives and those kind of means like the heat. Oh, yeah.
2:57
Have you maintained your fish
2:59
now haven't made any mom sent down some cookies? Which
3:06
I think and another tradition is to up at the pub. Have you ever played to up Josh?
3:11
No. Is this like an hour or so? Is this like an old sort of war game type of thing? Or like, yeah, the soldiers.
3:18
The soldiers played it in the in the trenches, and it's actually illegal every day of the year apart from on ANZAC Day. Oh, really? And so
3:29
gambling like you?
3:30
Yeah. Because it's like on. It's gambling, but it's a What do you call it like this? It's kind of a bit loose, everyone just gambling with each other, like, giving each other cash and stuff. So it's unregulated, although that's why it's illegal, but but they do it on ANZAC Day. And so what it is, is it's a, it's, they get two coins on a little plank of wood, and you're standing around a circle and you're kind of going 20 bucks or 40 bucks or whatever, and you match with someone and one of you gets Is heads and the other one guesses? Tails. And then the spinner flips the coins up. And if they're both heads, then you win the money if they're both tails, and then the others win. How
4:10
do you know who gets to who gets to pick first? Because I guess you can't have both people picking the same side.
4:17
Yeah, exactly. So I think for example, like if you went 20 bucks, and Tommy was like, yeah, I'll go 20 bucks, then you say, I'll go ahead. I'll go, I'll get tails.
4:26
And that's fine. But what is simple if I want to go, I want to go, was it that's where it becomes Yeah. Then you have to
4:31
find someone else who wants to go heads.
4:34
Okay, so you just it's hard for people who might be the sort of really into push back to play that game. Unless there's some way of picking
4:43
randomising just who goes I just saw I saw tally just post a photo saying things are different this year. Last year, people were lining up to play to up now everyone's lining up for calls and she posted this photo. It's like Maybe used a lot to get into pubs to to get placed in play this, but this year it's just lines for cold.
5:08
I mean, I feel like one thing about we had the Friday night drinks last night, but we're still getting up. We're still getting up early. This is a great thing but like nine o'clock, felt like that was a really late evening. Yeah, but we could wake up at like, quarter the Sikhs and feeling ready to go. Yeah, it
5:30
was based on around last night. It was it was
5:32
okay. Absolute FA How much do we want to go into? It says can you talk about what we can
5:40
think about? We don't have to
5:44
go down. We're not going to talk.
5:46
Someone got their top off sacred space. So
5:49
yeah, looks Yes. Someone took it. I think I think they probably deserve best on ground, but I need you into more detail than that. Mm hmm.
5:59
So yes. All right, right. They were over.
6:03
Yeah, it was. It was no
6:06
pressure. There wasn't. There was huge peer pressure in the chat, I believe. And we want to know who was involved in the peer pressure
6:13
but someone but someone has requested every half hour for this person at their 40 have to take their top off.
6:21
Yeah. So we're taking a common request now. But I mean, it is turning into Bray mentioned with all the she was talking to Gemma via text. And she just having experienced everything because she was sort of going to join in on kick ons. And then after I spilt the drink my drink everywhere and it sort of ruin the or didn't ruin the vibe, but she was like, You know what, I sort of kept the fact.
6:48
You spilt $20 of liquid on your chair.
6:52
It was it was in Well, imagine if I was drinking red wine.
6:56
Oh, it was.
6:59
Yeah, it was a great To
7:00
the cocktail that Shannon Tilney bought. Yeah,
7:02
but I still had a good, good amount. To be honest, if I had, if I'd had what Shannon actually given in the entirety, I think it would have, I would have made some bad decisions. So it was, I think it was okay. But But what Brett was pointing out was, this is becoming it feels a little bit like, we're in school. And there was the party. And there's all the different elements of the drama of the party who's kissing who what's got like, who took their shirt off, you know? Yeah. You feeling
7:37
like there's Yeah, definitely the zoom, the zoom thing. I mean, we're on a zoom call for five hours with a whole heap of people. It's fucking awesome. Thanks for the appreciate the dedication from the gronk. But if you strap in, you put your headphones on and like, and then having some alcohol, you really just get sucked into the vortex of just the screen, but it's a weird thing. Imagine if it was a camera. Watching you, and then you watch the back side but you like what's going on?
8:06
Well, sibs. I mean, what's your observations as someone who's new to drinking? What did you think of the experience? I feel like you really leaned in last night.
8:17
Yeah, I mean with so I had to watch what the firt the first drink was. What Shannon centre and it was sort of like fruity Jean thing. And then I had another gin and tonic and I probably had a bit too much gin. Yeah, I would. I wanted to keep that that feeling of like, just just being a bit pierced and everyone was telling me to have food and water. Which I didn't. I don't think that's a good idea because I wasn't very sure. And if I just know if, if I just if I just stay at what I'm at that I'm not gonna get worse and I'm just gonna ride it out.
8:52
And so, I mean, I that's why the heroin junkies get so upset when they get their high tech. It was a bit of touches. Type is
9:00
absolutely exactly done taken away from me absolutely cannot take this away from me
9:08
it sounds a lot like the gummy experience from ally from my doesn't it just like this is my moment you don't control it Yeah.
9:16
Did Shannon send you a piece of Locky or something?
9:18
I remember geez yeah she didn't call Chicago yeah.
9:22
Oh yeah, I did I did down a I think it was a year dos that she front door so
9:29
Shannon that was dropped like 100 bucks
9:34
he Oh no, he's another thing. I realised you know when you go out George. I could imagine you haven't had this Josh but big nights you can end up just like spinning so much cash you don't think about it. Like especially is like the more wasted you are you can come home and you've spent 500 bucks not easily I spent 500 bucks out or very easily shouting paper drinks you paying 150 bucks for dinner. Buy a bottle of wine you know it's it's ridiculous. It's I don't think it's exclusive to being out now venues because I'm buying Uber rates for you guys on the business
10:11
it's a loose well that's like Josh like teach it like I cuz I was just on my personal library it's just doing what the fuck you did like can you get that can you get the business card on there because you fucking shit up so we can do it it's
10:28
officially tax deductible because it's a part of the show
10:31
what happened is George and sibs just frozen looks like you know
10:38
that's all right baby back to the old days remember
10:40
the old days Josh the simpler time it was the
10:43
old guys just you and I no cameras. There was no love story. You know it's just you and I talking about squeegees and ship it it
10:54
was pretty It was quite boring, wasn't it? And now
10:59
it's gone. It's definitely grown. It is amazing seeing all the everyone on the zoom call like it is. It is a weird guys. I know it might feel weird for you to but it's a weed for us. seeing everyone come together and talking and it taking on a life of its own. It's fucking so cool.
11:17
Yeah, I'm loving Can you can you tell us a bit of a story? Think of a time where you spent more than you're expecting whilst I got the boys back,
11:28
dude. It was my birthday once and I went out. We went to France was French restaurant in Melbourne and and yeah, I just that night we ended up going to this other bar and then going on a few Uber missions and going to a club and I spent 550 bucks.
11:50
I and I was so it wasn't
11:53
just in Melbourne I was I think was when I was living chef and I just come down like I'm so, so much more strict with spending now. Like, I couldn't imagine that happening again. How do you know what
12:08
to spend cash on? Like, what? Like is it? How much is a fair amount on a bottle? Like, is there a good? You know, is there a good wasting money and then a bad? You know, I mean, it's I was hungover the next day I don't know if it's good at all.
12:26
Like, especially over in Los Angeles, like some of the nights I had over there like but you're you're also dealing Eucharist and you're also dealing with the conversion as well, which doesn't help. Ah, I mean, that's if you're thinking about it. 2012 You didn't think about j&j parody, right? Just was what it was. I've asked Shannon because I imagine she's spent a bit out. She went, Oh, my God told say last night he'd be making an announcement today. Oh, that is right. GEORGE did say he was going to be talking about something today. I wonder if the boys got nervous. Hey, something I did like last week. When I was a bit drunk on Friday night after Friday night drinks, I got Bodie, an Instagram account as well. I didn't I haven't posted anything but I wanted to get your thoughts on it. I got bowtie jacket
13:15
before me just bowtie jacket. That's quite good.
13:17
Yeah, I just got the handle bowtie jacket.
13:19
You're gonna get these cars. Yeah.
13:22
I mean, shit. I should should I that's the thing do you think I think it's worthwhile,
13:27
like pay for the 10 years or whatever. So you don't have to
13:32
you could Yeah, really? It'll be cheap if you do it that way.
13:36
If you're Don't be a rat if you listening in by it,
13:40
because I'll spell bowtie wrong anyway.
13:44
That's happened to these wrongs. Yeah,
13:46
no, it's an absolute nightmare. I'm trying to work out how to how to get them back connected. I've given them new links and everything.
13:53
Now, how we still hear, I hear, this is it you know whose fault it is?
14:01
George's
14:03
it sounds about right.
14:06
And so does your room smell because that's one thing if you spill out you know, there's easy sort of drive you know wipe it up, but it's your your seat. Does that stink about Yeah, yeah.
14:16
Yeah, absolutely. Well, it was it was sniff smelling pretty bad. I Georgie back here now I kind of couldn't get the other camera working. That's okay.
14:27
I mean chrome because Firefox wasn't working
14:29
and that's all right. Have you had any big nights where you've spent a bunch of cash
14:33
George? Yeah. For sure. The most I've spent is 500
14:40
in a night and what did you spend the money on?
14:43
is just like shots and just like just shouting so many people. I remember as waking up on my tiny I said, Oh, my back.
14:53
Back George when it was gone as well. So don't feel
14:59
Oh yes. I Yeah, it was um, it was it would have been 19 I woke up on my deck at mom's house with Tawny just like looking down at me just like what's going on and checked my bank account and some has spent like four or $500 which for 19 year old is a lot of money that's a huge amount of money a lot of money now
15:22
save a single amount of money that you it's definitely not drinks and stuff, but when you were younger, did you ever make a ridiculous purchase?
15:33
Now I don't think so. Oh, you know what? I bought No, I bought I bought I bought a server for about 1200 bucks. Yeah. And, and I actually and I bought a bunch of hard drives to go with it as well. And so they I did, I was gonna put it into a data centre and like, sort of like rent it out. But I didn't end up doing that
15:59
and so Is that really how it works? So you buy a computer, and then they put it into the data centre?
16:06
Yeah, so they call colocation, I think and then you pay like 100 bucks a month, and then you're, you can just run off your own hardware. And so I was gonna do that. And so I spent a grand on the hard drives and then grand on the server. And so I didn't get to the point where I actually ended up putting it into the data set. So I bought everything. And then and then I was sort of trying to save face and so I sold as many hard drives as I could on Gumtree and then, and then realised that okay, well, these aren't gonna go and so the next thing on the list was a warranty claim for a refund. So, I decided to I decided to put them in a bit of water.
16:49
This is probably still in school.
16:55
mean not that long ago, but it's not that ideal. It's not ideal.
17:00
I got a refund on all of them. So okay. And then and then I saw and then I did sell the service. So
17:07
it's all good.
17:08
I think the delivery thing is like it is the new version of that, that there is a thrill with sending something and then tracking it and it's not your place. It's like, is this gonna get to the person? What's going to happen if I feel like I'm fucking machine control of the fucking moon landing?
17:27
It's great. You see the countdown? And then especially when they call you. They're like, yeah, we're here. We're like, yeah, go up.
17:34
Go.
17:36
You suddenly have a problem. You know, you pick the wrong. Oh, yeah. I
17:39
mean, we had a bit of a problem last night, didn't we?
17:42
Yeah, wrong. That was a slot. Not yet.
17:44
Did you? So how many things got sent to people last night? So we got sent cocktails that day?
17:51
Yeah, that was from Shannon. And then you sent me
17:56
something from Shannon. And then yeah, I sent you Uber. Josh the others
18:02
and so say Joshua great last night. Yeah,
18:05
yeah. really precious he's gonna he was gonna
18:12
you went Mac GEORGE
18:15
Yeah I got Mac It looks good
18:18
and then we got Shawn as you're going
18:21
up George you bought mixes you brought like oh that's right yeah coke and sprite sprite
18:28
so you can think so now what did you do? What did you buy? You bought coke Big Mac meal nuggets Quarter Pounder meal cheapies future drinks so you could call in the wrong yeah yeah cuz we're running out of gin yeah yeah that's we got I've actually got Lacroix here.
18:49
Oh great. Which five is about to open?
18:54
manga
18:55
Oh yum. Why they work they've chosen a green can go And then absolutely doesn't make any sense. Oh, yeah solid. But then who else got said yeah, so I sent grace chicken Parma and garlic bread and the guy the guy Alex said that it was no one was answering and so it was like this very so it's so funny the when you're half pierced or just completely pierced there is something fun in the struggle Do you guys enjoy the struggle of playing Brian may try to search for Grace's address. It took me 10 minutes just to to work out how to get her a dress and then copy and paste it like the fact that it got to her, especially what she was dealing with it her and the fact that she was able to get it from the Uber. This was a huge shift when
19:54
it's it's quite it's a bit of a nightmare messaging the Uber driver that's what my problem was. He was like going to the wrong house. And it sounds like I was trying to figure out how to search that house on Google and like, direct him and it was just a pretty I reckon I probably sounded a little bit impatient and a little bit like aggressive towards him. So it's
20:17
like, like Spider Man has someone like Tony Stark has a system that is like, answering questions or who What is it? What's it like in Spider Man?
20:29
Jarvis.
20:30
Yeah, like JavaScript. Then there's a there's another one he's made in spider man's like, Can I be your version of that? So he will be on a earpiece directing him, man on a chair. I mean, that's what it is. And so it's like, You're the man on the there's a man on the
20:45
chair right now.
20:55
Could how far Could you take it though, like we're talking food deliveries here. What more like, Wait, can we get this to
21:02
what we get to Korea? Just? Yeah, pick up something big.
21:07
Yeah, there's so many things you could do like you bet and that's the thing. I have a tendency to go silly with stuff. And I just and so that's what I feel like the food things good. Yeah, but there's heaps of really dumb shit but there's like websites for this like this is I can see the whole like who was asking for someone's undies? Was someone asking for George's undies the other day or am I making the story really made that I bought? Who was asking for something socks or something? Did that not happen George's? I feel like George was there and we had a conversation around what would it take to get maybe that was in the chat. I don't know. But I can just say this this whole logistical thing. Like people get into the whole sending that sort of stuff. You can see sort of the thrill Going to the post and just the logistics of the whole thing. Not saying I want your undies George.
22:09
But But send them up.
22:11
Yeah, speaking of deliveries. I've got some gifts for you guys.
22:18
Cuz Okay, I got deleted last night from you. Yeah.
22:23
What was your mom on it too?
22:24
Was your mom on the bandwidth?
22:26
No, she she sent down some some stuff.
22:31
Full disclosure that mainly for Josh and Tommy nice night.
22:38
The thing is I I was worried yesterday after the I feel like Kaz and I have quite the tumultuous the right word. It's a it's this sort of up and down. Yeah, high energy sort of love, you know, a love hate relationship where I feel like sometimes we're really aligned and things are going really well. And then sometimes she's not talking to me. And I felt like during Friday night drinks she's not talking to Well, I just feel like there was the whole incident Instagram incident,
23:10
then she doesn't really understand Instagram. Yeah, that's what she says, you know, and then she was replying as just say you could say that she's seen it. She didn't really. You don't have to reply to everything. Okay,
23:22
well, no be in the chat. I had apparently asked a question on Friday night drinks. And she had answered it with. I'm filling out the form. And then I didn't remember that I'd asked whatever question it was. And so she then wrote back in the chat said you asked, and so I felt like in that moment, I was like, Oh calvess
23:46
I think she wrote she actually wrote us and then like, for the Sex and the City character, I think she was a bit late.
23:55
Do remember reading that you
24:00
That Josh. Yeah, the comments are going quick.
24:02
So anyway, anybody that has an eye good right now? Everything's fine.
24:06
Oh, she sent me down some presidents.
24:08
Okay, but when did she send them? She might have sent them on Wednesday and now she hates my guts
24:12
inside of that she loves you. She loves you, Josh. All right. Well, so so this one for Josh actually thought it said fucking good managers. Okay, but it's
24:24
it's fucking good man.
24:26
That's great. So
24:28
that's it's just a book about having I think it's like a bit like you're not listening like you know we need to start getting a man is back in check.
24:37
Is this a criticism? Am I taking this good?
24:45
So there's like so, like it's right up your alley. There's like, you know, all the different chapters, basic manners, public transport, driving the cinema, the shops, public toilets.
24:55
This is good. So this isn't
24:56
community type stuff.
24:58
etiquette. This Good. Can you turn to one right now? Can you give me a chooser? Sure. Can you what kind of select from
25:05
him?
25:06
Okay. Well, Amos, I mean, you've had a nightmare of an email situation in the past week.
25:14
Cinema shops, public toilets, queuing neighbourhood toilets. I'd
25:18
love to. I'd love to know the etiquette of public toilet 79
25:23
turns out you can't shoot in them. It's
25:29
okay, so
25:33
let's say
25:35
it's annoying that I'm an office toilet one in there as well.
25:37
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
25:40
Keep your fucking distance. Gentlemen.
25:45
Even if you've never said it out loud, if there's an option to leave a space between you and your fellow urinator. Then do so. If you have the choice of three empty urinals a that choose choose either of the outside ones allowing room for someone else's, without I mean, that's free.
26:02
Pretty stare Zipit
26:03
came so it's like don't talk in there.
26:06
Keep your eyes to the front. Well, there's a pretty basic good direct. I pretty sure I could learn some things from Yeah. And so
26:14
all you take it I've tried to get close to you take a piece next year. No,
26:18
we've done it a couple of times. I think that we're having I did it without an accountant. Oh, that's true. How was that? We get this?
26:25
Yeah, we kept the conversation going. I think we kept talking about willing talking about, you know, he's a man that has he's on the prize. This is, you know, can talk business while taking a piece. It's credit. That's what you look forward to. And to be honest, it was actually
26:37
it was a test.
26:42
This test allows us to count your pistol on himself when we tried to do couldn't do two things at once. So thank you. So that's that's one of the yellow tool. It's gonna look great in the yellow says nice
26:54
hardback. Yeah, yeah. Really nice. In today's busy world, it seems we've forgotten a few of the basics in life, like treating each other with respect, dignity, and fucking good manners. So I love the desert dust cover
27:08
too because, um, dust covers can get a bit annoying. And yeah, I don't know what a dust cover is, you know, you know, like the hard cover. There's the thing around it. But then you sort of Yeah, very fumbling. When you try it, you end up having to get rid of it. And where do you put the double that Gary Vee book? I read it. Yeah, yeah.
27:31
This one, you might have this one already. Josh. Better. No.
27:34
Wait. So is this for me? Is this for you, Josh? Oh, thank you. This is I've been meaning to read the James clear.
27:42
Yeah. Atomic habit. What's the tiny changes? It looks very similar to tiny habits. Maybe it's all about you know, making small changes that will eventually make a big difference.
27:54
Matt D. Avella had him on the show. I'm very keen to thank you. Thanks Kaz.
28:02
Kaz, Kaz, let's read into this cares thinks you've got no manners and you can't change any habits and so you need
28:09
those two areas. But what I appreciate is I sort of had a moment this morning where I was like, you know, I don't blame cars for hating me based on how I've treated everyone at the book club.
28:21
Like the book club, like, I sort of know a lot about it more than you
28:25
more That's true. Get that on a T shirt now but I just thought like geez you're a piece of shit today's meant to be that as it may. I might This is today's the day that I said that I was doing the book club and here I am. This fact and having my coffee at home with no intention of bringing it up. Like what an absolute piece of shit I am. Yeah. And so I thought about it. I was like, no one cares fuckin like, it all makes sense. No one does. She's trawling.
28:50
It looking into it too much Josh.
28:54
She's, um, she's lovely.
28:56
She used to be but you can be lovely and I hate me. That's what makes it almost when every because she doesn't seem like the type of person to hate many people. And so I feel like what I have
29:13
what why do you think she would?
29:15
I don't know, but I think it's maybe because we really hit it off on the first book club. And she was so complimentary and because I haven't done the book club and so I oh my like the story that I've said is it's like, Cassie is such a nice person. That should be the type it's like, I am. I like most people, but little did I know that Josh Janssen would walk into my life, you know, and just be a real I think it
29:38
says more about you. I reckon there's probably 10 people within the gronk squad. I won't name that you've said that. You think they hate you? Which
29:51
was the
29:51
fact you just
29:53
I don't think about anybody in the gronk squad. Heidi me. I don't like it. Even if you don't hate me. mean,
30:00
it's not my problem. The other thing is I'd prefer to talk about it like maybe I shouldn't talk about it. So just keep it in my head.
30:08
not depressed. I think it's fine, but you got to realise about it because you do realise it's bullshit.
30:14
Like you see a
30:15
person like me and then they fuckin helped you. Yeah,
30:19
yeah, they'll they'll have someone who was like, This is some sort of Yeah, exactly. No, I agree. I understand what you're saying. But it's fun to create the story. Sometimes
30:28
you're kicked puppy, who's now a grown Doberman. Just.
30:35
Yeah, it's just
30:39
but there is no way.
30:40
You in fate is a kid. It's all fine.
30:42
I was really fed.
30:46
No, I think that there is something about like, there is something about the big group. This is why I talk about, like, big friendship groups. Because if there's a big friendship, this is like safe saying these can make graces 20 Friends, if you have 20 friends, you get like this potential for at least five to hate you at any given time. It's just a lot to manage. I mean,
31:11
like I remember early days I think stuff affects people more than others like safety had something go wrong in a friendship group when you were younger, highly affects you moving forward. I can't remember this one tie this kid and and i and i had the I had the awareness at the moment to be like that is that's him. That's not me. This kid was best friends with for years from like, grade one or something up until 313 14 he didn't invite me to easiest seven party because you scared I was gonna steal always friends. Like it's literally what his mom told my mom. I was like, Oh my God, that's sad. It's like that's so sad. Because it definitely would have been, I would have nobody and then he and then like one day he had me and mine Might from my school over at his place. And then they were all conspiring against me, obviously. And then they're like, yeah, okay, we'll go and then like
32:08
what people were conspiring against you. And I'm the one Yeah,
32:12
well, to get me out of there to get me out of there, and then I left and then they walked around the block, and went back to his house. And so it was like, they were trying to get me out of it. And it was so funny because at that moment, things shifted. And conspiracy. Jimmy, who is my best mate, we've been, we've known each other for over 20 years. He, like, wait, that's the reason we started becoming best mates. And then all of a sudden, we had a whole new friendship group, but I can see how it could like, you could have no trust in friends from that point on, but I guess it is the perspective of like, this is not it's not like you are you Josh, if you don't like it.
32:52
Well, that's saying not everyone will lie to you and it's just a fact of life. Thank you.
33:00
You're also making up stories about my mom.
33:04
Other people may not like you, but
33:12
like, my mother doesn't hate anybody. That's what Joe does.
33:17
I think your mom's your I think your mom's fit just like every other moment. Which is something that came up on there.
33:25
I think you'd be good with mom's very Mom. Mom. No,
33:28
I think that's the thing like I'm probably the most wildly to, to kiss. Yes, no, I think I'm probably the most likely to hang out. All the mums. Like, I think that I could run some sort of event like a scans, you know, Mexicans and shit, and we just chill out. And anyway, that that's it. Going sorry, Joey, what would you say?
33:56
last last one. Sorry today. Yes, it's 130 It's a this is what happens
34:03
your life as soon as you become a fucking parent. It's all about you and he
34:07
sent me a book. That's for birdie. This is beautiful. I can't have this book GEORGE
34:15
Yeah well
34:17
there's there's no real thing I think it's just a really good book and and you can watch the the animations on Netflix I think Rwanda Burundi show me the front of it again. My mom she couldn't say it on your bookshelf in the in the entire story that you did recently. So that's why she's so damn
34:34
interesting. I don't want to railroad this with the on the gift thing. But crystal says, I think this is outrageous. Crystal says what other people think of you is none of your business anyway. Sure. Yeah. Sure. No, I don't know. Why Why can't you? Why can't it be your business now? Because because people can have their own thoughts. They don't even project how they feel about you. To you, and then it does become your business.
35:02
If it's your house, well, I think if
35:04
it becomes your business when it's mentioned to you, if they can have their own thoughts, and that's none of your business, but as soon as as soon as that comes into contact with you, then absolutely, it's your business business and you can just harass to
35:16
think but the other problem is, this is the situation I'm in George. Your mum has probably liked me all along, but it's this very moment
35:26
now. It's getting worse.
35:28
And so can we can we have a bit of a reset? Yes, happy to because because the thing is, I don't want it to because I I love you, mom. I think she's so much fun. I want to be her to be part of the book club. I want to, you know, when we go to Byron and all that sort of thing, I don't want to become a thing where Tommy's always staying at her place, and then I never like we go to Byron and so we so reset.
35:52
What you will do, you'll get a motel down the street, and I'll be standing as this giant
35:57
yeah on the deck with cars. We got a great cheese board and the fingers. We were meant to be friends. So reset. Reset. You brought it right now I reset citement GEORGE That's, that's a blaming statement. Can we just reset?
36:16
I thought you will know what you're gonna do the statement?
36:19
No, it's no one's fault. I didn't bring it upon like, there was just like a little bit of a mixed communication thing that's happened. Yes. Correct.
36:28
Okay. It was. Yeah, she didn't understand your shtick you didn't understand her as and you've made up all these stories and they
36:43
all signs point to your fault Josh on this one. But now we're moving on there's
36:48
no one's bad or good. You know,
36:52
but you did hide you according to you
36:54
know, I projected my my height and then yeah Anyway,
37:00
how about we just say this? The truth is Kaz has loved you all along and she respects you and loves you and you. You help her son, you know, you know, George is now part of the gronk squad. It'll be great to see from that side, she probably respects you a lot, Josh. So let's move on from that. Thanks, kids for the present. Looking forward to reading that one. Cat. Was it Cat on a broom broom?
37:24
room? There's no candy, mommy's told it, which
37:29
is a cat. Okay, yeah.
37:33
What to do with that.
37:36
That's I think that the idea is that, you know, this which is flying everywhere, and people keep asking for a lift on the broom. So they say is there any more room on the broom and then it gets more and more full?
37:50
Right. Yeah, I think I've read that. How old is that bowtie? I think it's, yeah, I think it's Oh my God, I remember that.
37:58
You couldn't socialise first public What was that? What's a book from your childhood that you remember? There's one for me. It's called Ebenezer. And it was spit scary. Like I remember being a bit scared of it. And it was about this train is haunted train. And the woman's name was Ebenezer. And my dad used to read it to me. And he still says, Yeah, do you want me to read you Ebenezer? anyway?
38:25
Yeah, Ebenezer? I've never heard that name. Yeah.
38:31
I forgot to say what she sent me.
38:34
Which you could look in, you could read into a bit.
38:37
Wait, so you're part of the problem. There we go.
38:39
Okay, talking with psychopaths.
38:45
A deeper journey into the minds of the most cold blooded killers. So
38:53
that's for me. That's
38:56
nice. I think if you mommy's very generous. So thank you cars. Yeah, it's it's lovely. What are you guys doing tonight? what's what's what's the plans George?
39:10
No, no plans. Gonna go and play some ping pong the Savi
39:16
dances
39:19
and you sisters got a gotta watch that
39:22
1917 though to be
39:26
white to watch that really has it just come out or is this that's that's one that this that's the one that Ryan Shelton was talking about that they filmed it in a way that it looks like a one shot film. Combs you don't you don't
39:38
you tell me because I covered up.
39:40
George, you were telling me about that this week. Right? Well, why don't you tell me.
39:48
So, George, your sister brought out a saxophone during kick ons.
39:54
Yes, you did. Because you were playing a song. What was
39:59
that Empire Something I didn't know there was, it was a song. And I think it was kind of implied but I do use some. There was a sax being played. Yeah, she brought it down. She was like, Oh, this would be funny. So she wanted to come on camera with the sax. And but she, she can't really play. She is very expensive saxophone.
40:18
Well, that's what you said. And she said, what do you do it like that you can't even play the $4,000 saxophone. And that blew my mind that I said, is that how much saxophones cost?
40:30
Yeah, this was years ago, she got that. She got that for it. I think she was gonna apply when she was younger. I think she was she was probably like, I want to say like 18 or even younger American when she got that. And it costs that much then they're expensive, expensive instrument. So she takes it more now just for a just because it's a nice and nice instrument to happen. Yeah, for drinks.
40:54
Yes, bring
40:54
it to drink. Just on the instrument thing. My grandmother was a musician. She was a violinist. And she had a violin that she handed down and my auntie had it that my mom had it and then they had this shop where it was they sell vintage violins and it was there for a few years before they sold it Have a guess how much it went for a violent little instrument. five grand string is
41:22
now seven and a half.
41:24
Now I think it was like 18 grand. Wow.
41:27
Oh,
41:28
Christ nominal. Phenomenal. I mean, handcrafted. Like hundred year old violin or something ridiculous.
41:37
was with the books the announcement George. I think you said yesterday. I've got something tomorrow. Yeah, that that was that was the announcement. Yeah, I love it. Can we can we mention what we're doing next week? Because I feel like it could potentially. When we were gonna do it. Yes. We're gonna do it tomorrow. But then I don't know.
41:58
Wait, we have
41:59
to can't blow your load today. No, we
42:02
we got okay. This is George save the surprise tomorrow we've got a surprise, which we'll announce on episode 700
42:12
Yeah, he's gonna
42:14
wake about it.
42:15
Yeah, well, yeah, remember that? Wait, I just thought I get excited. I just don't like the thing is I prefer to.
42:23
Yeah, I mean we're all excited. It's really good.
42:25
I prefer prefer to show share the, the I think that we're that sort of blow the load thing falls flat is what I'm trying to do is share the load. I want to enjoy everyone to enjoy it. I want everyone.
42:41
It's called tomorrow. The patient is my son. I tell him we got to watch something tonight. He said not tonight. And then you say no. And it is the night and he says not tonight. He thinks tonight's a bad. He wants it now. Yeah, it's just like you want it now. I respect you But we're not doing it.
43:01
But Friday night. It was it was amazing. I'm loving it so much. And also the thing is one best way even though it was definitely the best one and the reason I think last night was great. Yeah, the other thing too is even I'm spiralling today a tiny bit, very small amount. I've gotten into a good headspace where I felt comfortable with the music. I feel comfortable with everyone. I'm not spiralling in that regard. So if you do join Friday night drinks, there is no drama. It's all fun.
43:31
I mean, I'm so impressed how you handled the spilt drink yesterday like that. That could have blown up.
43:39
This is changed.
43:40
That's very true. That's very true. But you could have had the biggest.
43:44
Yeah, the biggest I definitely I could have. That's what I was saying. I said to break if it was red wine. I recommend the party would have been over.
43:53
Yeah.
43:55
Yeah, Jay was saying not All right.
43:58
Let's Let's finish it off. Lots of comments going through.
44:02
Casey asked Josh. Are you bad at keeping secrets?
44:06
Yeah, yes is the answer to that? Ah, I don't know. No, you've stable you're bad. Yeah, yeah,
44:13
you bad I'm not good.
44:16
Definitely check it out. I'm really good conversation. That guy's
44:24
not true. I reckon I'm good at keeping secrets, dude.
44:30
Yeah, you're only as good as your weakest. So if you then yeah, no, I think um, am I
44:39
am I it's I think it's an important trait in someone to be able to keep something to themselves.
44:46
Yeah, I think that maybe, I don't know. Is that an attack bike is Casey sort of whitish Casey putting that out? Would I have to speak mountain anyway? I'm happy maybe we could
44:57
do was he brings it up Josh because you wanted to eat We had a pact not a pact. We just made it. I think you actually came out came out with it that it 700 was when we'll talk about it. And everyone else is just going with it.
45:10
Yeah, and good. So test and learn thing. It's like, oh, let's just bring it all in early. Like, I think that that's the whole. That's if you think about it, I reckon with every sort of business deal we've ever done or things like that. I'm always I always do things too early. Like we hired 97 as an employee a way earlier than what we should like, I got my let's fucking do it. You know, let's make this and like it's always harder. I mean, we took a
45:35
took a lease on the building. Yeah, probably oil. We could we do those things. We could have taken that money. Yeah. We're waiting for but I don't think it's the same i don't think i don't think you can extrapolate from that to her announcement or I just think I'm impatient.
45:51
I'm just like, let's let's do the thing now.
45:55
Because everyone's on wiki garden. Oh, three, and
45:57
that's why I wanted to I wanted to mention that has A Monday, but I brought it up to fall flat.
46:03
It's gonna fall flat tomorrow, like Episode 700 if we don't have if we're not announcing what we're doing then it's gonna be a bit of a drain Sunday
46:11
night we got no content. No content for Sunday we need save for the show. Save it for the show Johnny can Are you thanks for everyone who came
46:23
wrapping up Josh. No Can I just find it? I just want to say how George is going. I'm feeling good.
46:28
Yeah, feeling great. A bit of wine in the in the bottom of the
46:34
camera. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, that double. It's a double Magnum
46:38
double champagne.
46:40
What does that mean? Not sure what that means but when he drinks per second per second per second Magnum, size of double Magnum. It's like three litres or something.
46:49
Yeah.
46:52
Jesus, okay.
46:52
All right. I don't know if
46:55
you will be for the auction yet, like a week. Maybe we can do it tomorrow. Come on your 100th Hump Day replay. Can we pop that gratitude?
47:07
Oh yeah, yeah, great idea. Okay that that's a lot of
47:16
things cuz I love them thanks.
47:20
Alright guys Save as Josh did ask what are we doing tonight? I'm having lamb roast and says What are you doing? I mean then I just revolve the night around food and wine so that's about it well,
47:35
I mean I'm not sure what I'm doing food wise but we are playing board games tonight so that'd be fun cute. Very cute, very clued open and so hopefully monopoly
47:47
hmm and also right left clutter. What do you like about Cluedo George
47:54
detective so we're wrapping up the show
48:02
He says I like Cluedo and I meant to leave that fucking peace of god great
48:06
George. Yeah. I love
48:09
to say tomorrow
48:11
without meaning something what I'm wanting to talk about tomorrow, but we get to a three second answer to why you love closed on
48:22
it is great detective game that test you Brian and and yeah, and that's pretty much it. Yeah. I love detective I love being a pretty good detective
48:36
marking up great detective.
48:38
Yeah. And you've got the moustache. You've got the
48:42
uniform. Oh, definitely.
48:44
Yeah. Yeah, it
48:46
would be great to take George over in
48:49
Georgia today to talk so so tomorrow guys, Episode 700 with a big, big announcement. Say then, bye. Say guys.
