It's the daily Talk Show Episode 570. What's happening? What's going on? It was very funny the other day when brain me were in and they impersonated us. Yeah. It was great. Because it did the whole what's happening guy?
0:20
Does he nyla? Yeah.
0:24
I with the adventure club, huh? What do you think about golf? Don't ever suggested adventure to me.
0:31
That involves exerting, exerting for calories. That's fair bit of calories and walking now, but I think that, you know, I think that's fun. I mean, it could we could potentially get access to a good golf course. True to me, like I've always wanted to play at some of the nice club golf clubs. I mean, I wanted to get the adventure club, church and so that we can.
0:53
I was thinking about, like, how can we sort of use it as leverage, but getting the gronk squad
1:00
able to do shit we're not normally out loud. So that like the playing of the golf club like one of the best there's some of the best in the world in Victoria. What's his name?
1:09
Tiger Woods Tiger Woods they all know someone was like talking about in Cheltenham the my mom and dad's pies. One of the one of the best golf courses in the world are not bad that one that coat
1:22
is real is Royals royal. It's a set this is the sand belt, which is the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Thank you. Good is that is it that one though? Is that a part of the Sandow? So run running from like, jumping them all like all the way down the coast? I'm not sure I don't know locations but when I was 13 I nearly flipped a golf cart. At a prestigious it was at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. And I've got footage and I find it's one of the CD.
1:52
The CD is nice. I was about to ask What's that? So VCD was
1:57
DVDs were thing but they were
2:00
expensive to burn DVD. Yes, and you needed a special DVD burner. And so if you had a CD ROM burner, you could burn a CD and he could play your VCD movies and stuff on like your PlayStation where the DVD player would play it, but it like some of them would play it anyway. So I had all my old home movies were VCD look at how many megabytes of the CD would hold because I remember having to compress things so much to be able to like what's a CD ROM how many megabytes does anyone even have a CD ROM in their computer anymore? Like other than the work laptops they still work? Not probably not actually no need for I mean was the last time German but burning things? Oh yeah, I can't remember the last time I burned something by putting it in the input you had the option of either but making an mp3 CD, where you would need a special, like CD player to play it but if you had like a seat car, you'd be able to play see that
3:00
mp3 CD. Yeah, yeah, so the last time I used a CD in a CD drive was when I was apple. I think maybe someone else's done it too. If you've got a device like these new Mac books that have no CD drive, and then you've got a computer that still has a CD drive laptop, you can instal from one computer to the other sad answer
3:24
is No need to know it actually.
3:27
It's good to know it's good to know that what it was like in the old days, but anyway, what I was saying is on the VCD that I have it's got the footage of me nearly flipping the golf cart because we're filming and you can just hear my friends grandpa's
3:43
sliding into the screen because it was really wet and I was like just it was awesome. So an entity a golfing potentially I'll have to take it out with the board and the members. Chairman Rick, this Chairman. I like golf
3:59
rinks
4:00
Mr. 90 sevens Dad? Yeah, Chairman Rick, I missed conspiracy Jimmy my best mate loves golf. He's got right into it really loves it. I worry about just my back.
4:11
Don't worry about it just being like just having the mobility. Like, I just feel like I'd potentially be a little bit stiff. If you have a warm up. You'll be fine. We'll keep the dolphins in the clubhouse drinking bees. mapfre we haven't spoken about that. Yeah, I haven't. So 2019 you were alcohol free? 365 days. Actually, I went this morning. I went, so I drank for the first time on the third of January. Which Yeah, 360 Why did you wait a few days you felt that it was a bit desperate if you do, I had no reason to like, you never do that. And I had no reason to this The day after I know, those those bees in the house where I was. I only just discovered this this year that there's a big
5:00
movement around the day after you are Yeah, bro. What's that cold? This is day. It's like huge parties. Yeah. Because I assumed that
5:14
you know it's new year's resolutions drinking less or whatever, like being a bit healthier. Bring it on our 10,000 step walk and as we're walking we just saw everyone at the bottle. Oh, it's a huge day and
5:29
we've met yet much bigger. I haven't I don't know. I never I did I did not I haven't done I literally haven't done the going hard on the news day. It's too destructive. My friend. I saw him post on the fourth that he just recovered from these days. And he's escapades that went down was which may I can tell you. You can probably guess. But I won't tell you. Anyway, he going? He had he's back surgery. Oh yeah. He's far left on Facebook at the moment. Is he is he walking? A friend of mine had back surgery.
6:00
fitzy if you're watching Avi back still while he's walking, it was in non invasive back surgery. It's good to catch up for be with him at some point. Anyway, so I saw I had to be for the first time. And I was a bit nervous. Know what, you're going to do
6:20
civilised I was at a pub jukey on which I said that we drive and stay on the way back from Sydney. This is the place that someone even instagrammed us about it. Yes, by the way nicer name. Can you I can't keep a track of what's happening. Is anyone writing to us? No. jukey on is Roy joined the three and a half hours from Sydney. And so you can either do the sprint from Melbourne and get there which is you know, six something hours, which is it's a fair crack when you go to kid. We did it that way once and stayed. That's how we discovered it. But then we did it. So we left sort of one o'clock in the afternoon and drove and stayed there. So we drove three and a half hours.
7:00
stay the night there's a great book somewhere already. Yeah booked before get this I called and they said Oh would you mind emailing us like emailing through your booking? That's good and I was like okay with credit card details and then they sent back and said, Can you email me your credit card details and I wrote Absolutely not. Yeah, no, I said I was like, I just don't feel I just say I don't trust you. I said I don't feel comfortable sending over the email. They said fine. I paid when I got there. Surely they know that like they're just taking the piss because the thing is, imagine how many credit card debt like they're an establishment I want to hack their system. They are not Yes, so that it's not that I'm worried about them sharing it not get hacked, like it. You should definitely try and
7:47
don't hack them. But definitely you want to target those peoples in jail or something. It was like, Yeah, like it's it's a small town, and so they're doing their best and the rooms are 120 bucks a night and they
8:00
Everything you could need there's a pool and body love the pool. And then we went down to the pub, it was actually set up the pool like it was like all clean and stuff is really clean indoor outdoor outdoor pool. It was It was lovely. Is it like a motel where it sort of? It's like surrounded. Yeah, yeah. So it's like
8:17
inside of a square. Yeah, it's like a one sided square missing. And there's just like, it's like a you have motel rooms and there's a pub at the front. But we went to another pub, and got a bit nervous about first drink. I don't know why, but then I had it And sure enough, the be made me feel pretty relaxed. Do you worry about them? When you drink? About the whole driving thing? Drinking and driving? Yeah, I don't want to say those things together. Sounds irresponsible. But now draw because when 97 then I went to Gemma, what's her party? Yeah. New Year's Eve. And Bree was texting him. What did I What did she say? She says that. I didn't think I'd have to let you
9:00
No, but Josh told me that she's that Brady's gonna be the designated driver. Because I felt that like we said to 97 Hey, we'll drive you break breaks it. I've told 97 more drive. I said, Have you explained that you're not drinking? Because I sort of had this combo and I'm going to get Blotto and get ready for it saves like I'm gonna get.
9:21
And so I didn't want him I had to kill. Doesn't mean he got loose. Did I get loose?
9:29
knighting get loose, but it was fun. You were funny.
9:34
But I'm always funny.
9:36
That you that wasn't inferred when he said
9:40
Little.
9:41
So, No, I don't. I can drink and drive. Yeah, no, but so but how much can you drink to be to, not not even to be is now it's like, because I went through a booze bus
9:56
all the way to just throw up
10:00
several stories so you can only have like one standard drink and then probably a little bit more where you texted me you like hey man, like because I need I was trying to access something in two factor authentication and sends it to TJ Yeah, I might have this and you might just went through a booze bus. Yeah, so I can ride back, straightaway, but the booze bus in Sydney, and I haven't seen this. I've been told that if you watch our beta, you'd be aware of this. But tell me if you knew this. The awkward situation the guy pulling on my I haven't drank and almost he felt like I wanted to tell him. Like he won't get anything him and I didn't. Um, oh my god. And then he and then he just pulls out these things i or i might and hold it up to my face. And I'm just like, what do you what do you need me to do? He's like, just keep talking. I was like, what do you what do you mean? He's like, All right, we're recording a podcast. The the breath O's aren't the stick anymore.
10:51
He's literally just talking to it is that count to 10? You can talk into right? And so he sure was a booze bus and just a guy not taking the piss.
11:01
Photos is such a fucking idiot. Now I think it'd be pretty safe. I said to him Adam from Victoria, I've never seen this before as well. You know I'm getting
11:09
so is it in Victoria as well just my brother recommended it. Okay. Interesting. You know, I know a bunch about Iran now. I'm hearing stuff around. Right Iranian curse but yeah, I'm trying to remember the guy who was killed name. I was watching behaviour last night. I really yeah, so like, Oh yeah, terrorist he and his car car something and then Sarah Serpico anyway I was watching a watching a documentary so illegal to drink booze in Iran well, because it's you know, a Islamic revolution of their Islamic State. It's not the same in Dubai. There's some places you can drink like some very expensive like we sir Mr. Josh Klein, did you say hey, say that yet to coronas and there was two other drinks but yeah, energy drinks was at one seven.
12:00
Do something hundred and 40 bucks. Yeah. $40 Yeah, but anyway, if you're going to drink, you wouldn't sort of go to Dubai necessarily. But Fun fact, about Iran. So, whilst people aren't allowed to drink
12:16
when they do booze, like a booze bus, it was something like nine out of 10 people were drunk in Iran. Yeah. So, so there was a key look that up is safe. That's a fact. sips because I was watching, I was watching this documentary, and the guy was like, driving and he's like, Oh, my favourite thing to do because he's like, I you know, I, I go against a lot of the rules, blah, blah, blah. But my favourite thing to do is like drink and drive, drink and draw, drink and do so he had like a drink open. And he was driving. But I think there was something like I'm a million people drink.
12:51
In Iran, over a million people in Iran consume alcohol regularly. And it's illegal. Yeah, yeah. And so legal police around
13:00
2900 drunk drivers last year. Wow. So that's pretty crazy, isn't it? I mean, it's like getting so it's illegal. It's like getting down here driving on cocaine. Yeah. It's pretty full on. But yeah, go 60 buck find it's pretty low.
13:17
And so the other interesting thing is they have they have a be like a, what's it called a non alcoholic beer? Yeah. And they'll showing some, like a lot of the young people. So the one of the interesting things about Iran is that I'm just going to talk about some Iran facts rapidly, but interesting to anything on so there's a there's a huge contradiction in society where it's like, in some ways, they have these really conservative values. However, there are also heaps of young people and like just doing whatever they want and doing parties and stuff like that. They have like these forests, where people like go to when they drink
14:00
King and make it like playing whatever music they want. And so there's a little bit of a like a blind I turned to some things whilst being very conservative with other things. So people drink I can when they're in their homes they can get back and pissed and like like they they were these journalists pretending to be terrorists and they were filming and they'd go to a party. It was almost like no guy in the stream enter. It's like, like with with booze marijuana like,
14:28
I mean, when you totally legalise not. When you totally banned something. Do you think people really want to do it more? what it felt like some people may be just smoking or whatever, cuz I just called Yeah, just cause So yeah, I was drinking just cause I managed to tell two people at the venue are that it was the first drink. Yeah. To me. I was like, Fuck, you know what I'm like, I just had to tell telega and his wife. Yeah, I made a joke about that. I'm not an alcoholic. You're not seeing me relax like that.
15:00
It might have been nerves or something. What did they say back? Oh no, we didn't think
15:05
what you would say back to a weird guys who said that so you're on my first drink. You're like me in LA. It's over now I was the first time I've
15:16
not now it's trust me it's only novel when you've only been one or sorry you know that one even drunk. Now what even drunk and I went to the pub again to catch up with conspiracy. Jimmy, what is
15:29
the seventh of July drank twice this year. And it's and, and I give me a hard time.
15:36
By the time I've actually got in my diary that I want to reach out to someone to bikina be with him. This is nothing like I
15:44
feel bloated. Not at all. No, no, I've been eating really late. What have been training most days just so you can keep those drinks coming.
15:53
What do you What are you drinking? I've just drank beer. What which be, it was a bad shepherd.
16:00
torian Pale Ale is that the whole name or was it bad? Yeah, bad Shepherd is the brewery in the Victorian Pale Ale is the is the beer and a pale first one I had. I was worried the first beer I had hadn't tasted it before. And I was I
16:16
went for it. It was a full pines, Pale Ale, a samurai Oh, sorry. So it's like a bit fruity. It was awesome. It was a good way to come back. But what I I think there is definitely because I had a bit of a
16:31
I had a blow up with Amy. The when you're drinking.
16:37
When we got back at a bit of a blowout with me because we drove we did the stint which the next day after having a few beers, drove all the way back to Melbourne. Five and a half, six, six hours, whatever. With stops and body was screaming and it was just and I was driving. I was tired by the end of its and we got home and I invited him
17:00
car like this little car and you're screaming like he's just
17:03
this this little car, you know, so as of a couple of iPhones, and I threw the car through the door, I was like, Come on, let's go in and I threw it and hit the wall and I mean, this is because you're drinking Oh,
17:19
I was so triggered
17:23
What do you think would
17:25
blow up? No, I painted the wall I lent into it. I missed it.
17:31
I just didn't do anything. But I just throw it in. I was worried that she had used the exact reason why.
17:41
So what's the what what is the car made out of? Is it heavy? Or not a little plastic cap boyka it's just a way Do you know the model number? You want to see what it looks like? Like is it a heavy if not having
17:55
the car no play. The thing is I'm he was just trying
18:00
Thinking that it was like, he's been drinking now he's throwing the car. My point was off, I can throw the car all the time because he's so not like, but he can be so annoying after five hours in the car.
18:14
But I say, you know what, I'm fucking throw the car and he drinking I had always complete the show my power.
18:22
point was, I was just like you you've obviously you've used the fact that I had a couple of drinks last night as you've connected me just being annoyed with Bodie to that. So the answer was now I'm just just being me.
18:40
I was like, Okay, so then I think about that. And think about that, me apologise. And I say partly because you were triggered by it. I said, You treat it. Like I said, I found that offensive because you know that that would like, obviously be something that you like you're trying to get at. Yeah, but someone who didn't drink for
19:00
You yeah I'm not the guy that doesn't have self control yeah like I had a year off I could imagine that bit like because all of a sudden you just a target I felt like that put you on these out to watch you drinking video to her I have never fucking put my undies to watch we know this isn't fairness to her I probably have in the past at times feckin been a bit over the top after a drink yeah and so what am I doing? What is your personality when you drink my personally when I drink is because we had that demand and it has laps where we had when I drink calm when I drink I think there is
19:34
I have done things drinking that I'm not proud of. So like I've been more aggressive towards me I've used language that I wouldn't use when I'm sorry but like so. So I don't I understand how she said everything when you say but what it what words use swear words. You always swear yeah no but it towards more aggressive swear Yeah.
20:00
Yeah, when I get off that guy show and say yes completely aggressive in an in hurtful way versus just swearing some people find helpful, but I remember the first time that you swore in front in front of your parents. I've been swearing since I was two. I like it's something I'm we're lucky that we've created this thing that we want. But it's Yeah, throwing a good like it's not good. I remember saying the C word in front of mom off when she said now because she'd called me that before. Yeah, you little say or whatever. Like when she's really really angry. And I just remember we're on the way to dandenong basketball Stadium, and we're just going on the,
20:46
like heatherton Road. Going on to the Monash Ray when I said something, drop it dropped it. I just remember, you know, like the parents. Like, I remember back when I was nine and I just remember saying it just like I just feel like
21:00
Um, yeah, like when parents like if you've done something really bad, they almost like can dislocate their arm so they can reach it back and start eating it. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that happens. Yeah. And so I was triggered that was all fine. talks about it. The point what was the learning? So here's a learning that I've connected to the
21:23
drinking, I think the next day, what you can lose is a level of mindfulness, being connected to how you're feeling and not being controlled by how you feel. So there's, I think that you can be irritable, you can be less patient after you've had a session of drinking the day after you're tired. And you just can't put like there's a sheet there's like you're putting up a sheet made is here, when it's usually up here, which is a level of mindfulness when you're up here because you're, you're being conscious in you're not sort of entering into the shit. Did you
21:59
I just had a
22:00
Thought Did you watch Osca?
22:03
Matt devours editor he did the video of him interviewing. He's drunk, self sober and drunk. And then he actually got really peaceful and then interviewed himself great idea as a concept. But what about the ID? If we struggle with mindfulness? How do you feel about us? Three getting drunk? And then we have to use the waking up meditation app, or trying to meditate? Yeah, for 10 minutes or for longer. It'd be fine.
22:31
Though there's no there's nothing. The probably fall asleep. You probably won't. How much have you been think because that says, I'm day seven of the meditation work. Thank you. I can go. I feel like I'm hacking the system a little bit cuz I'm really focusing on my breath. That's exactly that's mindfulness. Yeah, but he but he's like, you know, don't try and push it over.
22:52
Oh, yeah. So it's 97 pointed this out when he when he
22:56
when he first started using the app last year, and you said
23:00
You said exactly that my problem is that when I, when he tells you focus on the breath, and then he says, find the rhythm where you lose the thought about the focus on the breath. And your point was like, that's when you start thinking about it. That is the point of mindfulness meditation, that you are becoming mindful of what is going on and the process. So you just finding the anchor point of your breath, is the thing that draws your attention. So you can get like the tickle alumini when you feel the sensation when you drawing air in and out, and that is just to shut off the other thought processes. So it's like just trying to hone in like a high level of attention to a certain area. But then you're saying, when you like, you then think about how much oxygen but at that point, you just got to while also obsessing over I like try and predict when he's going to say you've got a minute left. I get the bed. I like breathe out on my character, right? Yeah.
24:01
What you should realise yet is what you've done, though, is you're now aware of when you are trying to gain it or find it. And which then is that in itself, the recognition of that what you're doing is mindfulness. And so the thing with the drinking beard is like, the next day, I understand that, for me, I will be probably more irritable. I can't like I don't drink like I used to. I can't I know I can't go and get wasted. Like, I used to wake up and be with Bodie and Amy like, it just doesn't work like that anymore. I don't have that freedom, not even freedom. I just don't have that. I didn't have the desire to do that anymore. But there is a level of being more mindful and being more conscious of what's going on after drinking or something like that. On the drinking thing, you know, john Safran, when we had him on Yeah, he was talking about drinking. Remember that? Yeah. And we're talking about that. He's, he was
25:00
Someone was saying he
25:03
What about the way he picked up a bottle or his dad gave him a bottle of wine and called him an alcoholic? Yeah. So he's talking about that big. Well, no, he was talking about. There was a few things. He's talking about the bruising. You were saying about the three, three bottles of wine a night to be considered an alcoholic, specific to one study. Yeah, because he wanted he was saying
25:27
they were looking for a person that drinks a lot. He said a couple of glasses and night, and they said are too little. We need people that are drinking three bottles a night and so we're talking about
25:39
white and then we talking about alcohol and he was saying how is going on the trip? I wouldn't how it's gone. He told me. He been messaging it he literally messaged me. He just randomly messaged me on the 28th of December. That's great. Last a little over two kgs rafting expected to lose more to be honest more
26:00
cigarettes and gin for me appetite suppressants or at least appetite
26:05
restrictions. What's also distractions? Yeah.
26:09
So like I said, did you end up drinking your gin? And did anyone else bring booze? He said yes and yes. So they got but I love the fact that he took the effort to give me an update on
26:22
Okay, so drinking, it's interesting. Yeah, I'm, I can't decide. Now I think this whole booth thing like I there's a part of me that wants to have it as a quirk. Yeah I seen that I just drink wine. I love wine, red wine. Not that much of a fan of white wine. You just gotta be mindful if you drinking too much. And you can recognise it. You gotta slow down. Yeah, you can't. I was thinking about like, I don't even know why. I got to the point. Like it wasn't have some sort of serious thing that made me go say no. And so then I'm like, I am thrilled car
27:00
Walmart
27:03
when you say like that makes it sound like a real car.
27:08
But like, but yeah, it's just, yeah, more mindfulness is nothing wrong with that. And so is there certain restrictions you're going to put on it? And do you think it's awfully obviously now it's off limits like Amy can never use the alcohol thing as a way of connecting the dots now, yes, she can. Yeah, she will. Yeah, now she can I think she's got the right. But I think it's actually keeps me in check. she's a she's a she's a part that is account. Okay. I'm accountable to her and bodeen. So, it is good that I've got these things. I just found a good reset. I think part of it. Maybe it's like, hey, maybe when you drink you've got to be better behaviour the next day.
27:46
Like, potentially, you know, like, I think like, Hello, everyone. I need to put it out like if you're gonna drink
27:54
the next day, lock it up the slide. I'm curious Fuck Yeah, exactly.
28:00
How did I go? So I didn't realise yesterday when Bodie came in
28:05
gave him some shortbread he's on a diet it is he really
28:10
should have been I will I probably was dying put you two to two and a half year old on diet unless I needed it. The so the shortbread gave him shortbread. And then he was going absolutely crazy. And then your mom turns to me and says that's because of the four shoprite Josh gave and I was like someone who was fucking counting Joe and
28:32
I surely wasn't.
28:34
But then I then reflected on how I approach the whole situation. And so my approach was, this was my thought process. You can tell me whether it's right or wrong.
28:45
So the biscuits just gave it to him because he asked them and I just he was happy every time I get to him. Can I just just rewind one year less than one year. Josh wanted to be the guy that hands up biscuits to my son
29:00
whenever he's little it's training a dog and the dog is now barking inside biscuits Josh biscuits Josh and everybody comes in wants biscuits even if there's no biscuit and so I found
29:11
screw to Derek had given Gemma walks some short breads on the show for the Christmas episode, Gemma forgot them. And so when Bobby was asking for biscuits on my ship, I'm gonna have to use the emergency biscuits. He were excited, because I forgot him out. So that was exciting. But then when I realised that I did when Bodie started to cry,
29:37
I then use the part of my brain that is connected to if you are being assaulted, which is I heard people say just act absolutely insane. If someone is trying to attack you go. Oh, yeah. I thought with Bodie crying and
30:00
being upset. I'm like, I'm just dying to like cry and be more upset than him and see if he can see how ridiculous it is. So what we did we both ended up just crying.
30:13
And then he left that I look like no fix me up off the couch.
30:18
So it didn't really go anywhere. So I mean, yeah, I mean, so why didn't that work? Because did it sort of work? Do you think it helped escalate the situation? I get what you mean there is a time that you can use that and it's when he's doing a fake crisis like he might have been more emotional yeah the big day yesterday, but sometimes he he does this fight cry
30:40
he she's all over the path. She shed outside win for adventure with grandparents the adventure club going strong. But there's so he does this thing where he goes in any any starting to pretend cry. Does this face was complete fake cry and so I started doing it.
31:00
And then he stops and he says no I caught a real yeah so it's
31:05
back now and then I say no I cry No I cry and so we lose the cry the fake cry but so that's when that works and then you throw the wall and it's like good job
31:18
show your emotions
31:20
but don't act like that around my son and get
31:28
rid of the biscuit
31:32
demo buy some more we're gonna have to wait a year because they'll Christmas unless we can find someone special. Before we go let's see if there's any anyone. Yeah, you try says that's exactly what I will say when I start drinking again. Troy what what was it we talking about? Around Tommy going around to everyone?
31:52
To be honest,
31:54
I got the message when a friend of Amy said it's getting boring now.
32:00
You're talking about
32:03
actually feel this weight off my shoulders, guys.
32:06
So, um, I used to be in radio
32:12
and be like, we've heard that too. It's like Why? So another observation just quickly is on the intensity of thought you give it as a thing when you don't drink. And I was going and I'm, I mean, this is all a completely different, like, being an abuser of substance is a completely different area than what I think I was in. But I still think the level of thought I gave it was like, outrageous Yeah. And so I feel a bit lighter when I'm not giving it the thought not saying I just willy nilly just drinking every day. Like it's not that it hasn't been safe in your own skin. I feel confident that I can just fucking stop for a year because I did it doesn't like I can't it's not an issue and so we don't have to talk about it. That's your point. The point is that it doesn't feel like it's really the identity
33:00
Which is good, which is kind of that's the whole thing. That's what like any radical change feels like it becomes an identity thing.
33:08
You need to make it your idea. Like, naturally if you don't drink if you don't drink
33:15
I guess there's options. If you're a vegan, there's vegans who just like do it. Or there's vegans who it's like, I just need to double check on that bread. Like, is that bread? I mean, these are the names, but are you really vague? And if you don't mention it, yeah. But I think Yeah, so I think there's something
33:33
in that around the identity thing, which is like, okay, now you can maybe you can move on from that and find what works for me. Because maybe I needed to give it up again, at some point. So if I will, because I'm not a big drinker.
33:49
Yeah, I mean, but you just haven't drank enough beer?
33:57
Wasn't a be drinking. Yeah, never. I just think that it's
34:00
I win so I probably had a VB last time you had it so the thing is so this is my thoughts around pushing beer. So beer is
34:10
like it bloats you Yeah, like it just feels heavy. Is that the equivalent of being like make it drink it just have thick shakes know why not is not a good thing at all. Now you should just have a Friday night thick shake not at all just asking the boys will go to the pub and have a picture. No, not at all. It's you drink. It's a lot of liquid but it's not. It's just like it's
34:32
not like you drank a lot of thick shakes. Okay, that's the difference. And so when you say like, Yeah, do you understand where I'm coming from? I understand where you're coming from. But the liquid is not fake, like thick shake. So these waters that's just
34:46
when you smash your soda water. You drink so much soda water is like Oh, yeah.
34:53
actually feeling drunk as well. So if we were to go out on a Friday night, do Friday night drinks
35:00
Like I can sort of mock ladies would be yeah if I can get around it we can actually fun Should we do it should we do a drink sweet drinks catch up celebrate the new year just get together we'll go to a bar it's not it's not some big advantage this
35:14
Friday the 10th is that the front of the Friday the 10th and we will make it what's the pub Next is the corner just stomping ground no no no the one on the right. I know that's not the closest one
35:33
where you want to go
35:35
because there'll be people that haven't left that establishment and 14 but that's a good vibe no now stomping grounds better. I know bit stomping grounds I rah rah. But we're rah rah rah rah. Okay.
35:48
I just like the idea of like, going dive. What about making it into moon dog? Oh homies from moon dog. It's very raw rather was what like near but
35:57
I know. trendy goodbyes.
36:00
Let's go to a real sheet. One. Do you want to go to one hour sale? Yeah. Okay, yeah, I get you. I actually just went through a moment. The other day is cheaper parts cheaper. Take a drink, actually, do you know the
36:12
juice? So on Christmas Eve, brain I went to
36:17
Robert Burns. Hey, the rubber bands hotel, the one that's on the corner of Easy Street. Yeah. went there for Christmas Eve, very understaffed. However, the guy who served us was lovely. He said, he said he was like taking our orders or whatever. And he'd been drinking a little bit. He's the waiter. He's been drinking. It's Christmas Eve. And so he takes our order.
36:42
And I was thinking to myself, I'm like, I think he's a bit tipsy. Anyway, he goes off without water comes comes back. 15 minutes later. He's like, I'm so sorry. I forgot.
36:54
And so we give it to him again. Right? And so it's like, thank you. And then he
36:59
as he
37:00
giving us our drinks he says to me your heart to you to me as brain I is that your heart I was like I thank you
37:09
and then walked up and I said that right? So now what
37:13
I said he said Your heart is yours Do you think he's like because you look like like I'm talking here? Like no you saying like I was hot like in white like it was definitely into me potentially which was great. But anyway, the night went on and he he then just kept me What are you laughing? It should go What do you only hear the rest of the story? No. So he basically he was looking after the whole thing because everyone had taken sick leave or the day off. And he was normally behind the bar and he was doing all of the serving. And so then I had one red wine and then presented you into it like I have another one. So I ordered another one. And that like full bottle full glasses between you guys.
38:00
Yeah, I should have brought the bottle yeah should have another break does she doesn't like red when it's hot. Okay yet, which I'm the opposite. I'm a fucking madman I go sure as I was hiking, huh? It was a hot day, Summer
38:14
24th of December now, but anyway the there's no real end to the story but we he felt so bad that he because he forgot my second one but we just didn't talk about it. And he didn't put on the bill which is fine, but then he's like he's like no, he said
38:28
dessert on me.
38:31
And then
38:33
I was like, Oh no, that's fine and then looked at him. What the fuck am I doing? Yes.
38:38
Where's that work? We have the tiramisu play. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was delicious. So we had the tiramisu and it was really good. right then. So well. We said we'll like if he hasn't included the one that second wine.
38:51
That means that like, which is fine and give him a great tip because if he leaves the wine on there, and I haven't had it, we won't give him back.
39:00
Okay, but it's Christmas we're giving tip. But then he obviously was so bad as felt so bad about the service that he liked did the whole real quick tap to the next thing so you couldn't give a tip? a
39:14
nap? So like, I'm like, Oh, no, I suppose a lot of places in Australia now do that. I just go on like, handed over at the point where you just pay. Yeah. And so anyway, but that was Robert Burns. It was great. Every every year No, so it's, it is a good it was a really good vibe. I should do that. Yeah, I like it. I've got to I'll have to check with tech with a wife. If we can make the drinks happen on Friday night. She can go and hide old toy cars
39:44
or throw toys. Put a hold of the heavy ones away in a box. Just check yourself if you've been reading yesterday. I think it's a good one. Just don't let any excuses of lazy like the light like you enter into it when you've done that.
