Josh Janssen: [00:00:00] It's the daily talk show episode 911
Tommy Jackett: [00:00:07] happy Thursday, or what is happening? What's going on. What's going on, everybody.
Josh Janssen: [00:00:13] Uh, TJ there's, um, you know, with Donald Trump is saying to fire people you heard about this you're fired. It's just saying fight. Like he's just getting, getting rid of a bunch of people.
Tommy Jackett: [00:00:23] I actually don't know what to believe with what the media is saying.
At the moment, what's he saying, what have you heard from him? You can never take it face Valley for face value
Josh Janssen: [00:00:33] each week. He waited. He tweeted saying that he's gotten rid of this person introducing his name. Yeah.
Tommy Jackett: [00:00:40] It's an episode of the apprentice.
Josh Janssen: [00:00:44] Now it's a brand, isn't it valued? I didn't want to get down in the politics, but what I'm saying is maybe I'm a little bit like Donald Trump.
Because, uh, today I got a message from Jay Bay, a Slack JB. You're not fine. Don't worry. Um, he, uh, he said, man, are you doing the script? Did a for screenplay Sunday, we recorded
Tommy Jackett: [00:01:05] it. Well, this is the show that I got fired
Josh Janssen: [00:01:11] from. And, you know, sometimes when people get fired, other people win. Don't you think it's not this it's not all negative.
Tommy Jackett: [00:01:19] I mean, yes. The people won't tell over on that ice skating race made way for David. What's his name? Bradbury, not David, but
Josh Janssen: [00:01:28] bribery. I wish you didn't say it that way. David Brett, David bribery. Um, and so, uh, I said, uh, JB said you writing the script. And I said, no, uh, I asked Jess to, and he said, Jess, isn't going to do it.
Because she was told that she was banned from writing scripts.
Tommy Jackett: [00:01:48] I think that is true. Did I hear that
Josh Janssen: [00:01:50] potentially? However, I, if I say you can write a script, surely the person that bands you, if they asked you to write the script shortly, and that means you're unbanned. No.
Tommy Jackett: [00:02:04] Is it like a boss coming to rehire you in the person's like, well, I know you're saying that you want me to
Josh Janssen: [00:02:11] wasn't it.
It was, no, it was like, it was, it was like the, the apprentice nearly cut off their hand on the bread slicer. And then two years later, Finally, uh, you know, the boss at the time said, Hey, don't use the bread slice. Or two years later, they're saying, Hey, can I use the bread slice?
Tommy Jackett: [00:02:29] It's like the trauma of having your arm cut off.
You are the trauma that fine? No, I'm
Josh Janssen: [00:02:34] the boss. I'm the boss. I'm not the bread. The script that Jess wrote was the cut of the finger. Uh, and so anyway, uh, the, the thing that things are moving, things are happening.
Tommy Jackett: [00:02:47] And so hang on, have you found somebody to do it?
Josh Janssen: [00:02:51] Well, GBS has got a lot of editing on, I'm not going to put that pressure on him.
Yeah, grace, grace has a lot on, she she's, you know, doing applications and things. She can't do it. Yeah. I'm going to do it. However, there is a little bit of me that's annoyed about it. So in the classic Donald Trump style, uh, what I'm doing is firing Jess from today's screenplay Sunday, Tommy jacket. I'd like you to sit in, where are you sitting?
Tommy Jackett: [00:03:22] Um, you have to work in the bird, the, the magpie. Yeah, the dead magpie that has come back to haunt.
Josh Janssen: [00:03:32] Yeah, we can do that. Yeah. I can argue when I say we, it will be me. I should've just gotten some well I'm or to write it.
Tommy Jackett: [00:03:39] Well, I've read it is a good idea.
Josh Janssen: [00:03:41] Good idea. You suggested just getting someone from star now
Tommy Jackett: [00:03:45] as an actor,
Josh Janssen: [00:03:46] as an actor, but we've done a lot better than that.
We've got Julian Hague, all these actors in the country coming on the ship coming on screenplay Sunday.
Tommy Jackett: [00:03:54] Yeah, I think he can be found on star now. Through his agent though. And we've cut the, we've cut the usual pecking order to get to him. We've gone straight to him and he's on the
Josh Janssen: [00:04:03] show. Great. We've got his
Tommy Jackett: [00:04:07] email.
That's right. I gave him a call. We had some great banter and now we saved
Josh Janssen: [00:04:12] some for the podcast.
Tommy Jackett: [00:04:15] Yeah, I did. I said Sam for the show, man. I'm not going to be on it. I'm not going to be on it.
Josh Janssen: [00:04:21] Okay. And say, look, change your plan now to run the script, man,
Tommy Jackett: [00:04:28] I'm just going to roll out. I'm just going to rock up.
You are you can't fire a guy in the first, second episode and then expect him to write anything.
Josh Janssen: [00:04:38] Probably also that it's just a lot of pressure.
Tommy Jackett: [00:04:40] Julian. I got him there.
Josh Janssen: [00:04:42] That's good. That's good, man. I appreciate it.
Tommy Jackett: [00:04:44] Can you at least write a grumpy character for me? Just in case you think I'm putting off negative energy?
My character,
Josh Janssen: [00:04:55] uh, I think I could give, um, I I'll I'll have a fighting scene between UN. Julian Hague just as in the comment, so mad with an angry Jess, if you're mad, what am I I'm fucking furious to wake up in the morning and have George message me and say, mate, what's happening with the script? It's a shock.
It's an absolute shock to the system. I mean,
Tommy Jackett: [00:05:19] it, you think she will fire you as her, your she's the admin coach to you and she,
Josh Janssen: [00:05:27] this is the admin coach or the admin mentor.
Tommy Jackett: [00:05:33] the surely is decide on
Josh Janssen: [00:05:35] that. Surely she should have at the very least. If you go in and not do the script fine, but then you should at least commit you.
Yeah, no, that I communicate. I said, uh, can you please write the script that moment, even if you gave pushback and said on a band or whatever, there should still be. I feel as an admin person a up, yeah. Like, you know what JJ should, I'm like, I should follow up with JJ and just say, Hey, how like you actually call to do the script.
Tommy Jackett: [00:06:09] And so is it, I'm just looking in the chat that we have about it. I think it's bled over into a different chat outside of its own dedicated area. Was, was it said, was it said in the chat, Jason, I sit in the
Josh Janssen: [00:06:22] chair and I don't know where it was sent. I don't know where it was said. And so it's, it's, it's a, it's annoying, but the thing is I feel bad because the thing is, I seem like, uh, I was really trying to like it put me in this position.
So I asked, I didn't even think about this. I knew that Jess didn't want to do the script. And I think service had mentioned I'd only, yeah. Jess wants to do the script. And so I said like, uh, to grace yesterday, I said, I'll do, do you want to do the script? And she said, Oh no. And I forgot why. And so this morning I thought, Oh, maybe she's just, um, uh, you know, nervous or whatever.
And so I messaged her this morning. Being a real sock being like, Oh, do you put, would you please do it? And she's like, Oh, sorry. Like, I've got to write that job application. So it seems like I, in my mind, remember that she had the job advocate, like an application she had to get done. I'm like, Hey, I know you have that, but there's bigger priorities.
Um, and so it doesn't make me look good. No one looks good here. Jess doesn't look good. Grace is fine. You're funny. How, how have you ended up fighting? Like the guy who. Ruined the vibe on episode two has some,
Tommy Jackett: [00:07:36] according to one person on the call, just make that clear.
Josh Janssen: [00:07:39] Well, I don't know. I think everyone was feeling it
Tommy Jackett: [00:07:43] it's unconfirmed, like the confirm,
Josh Janssen: [00:07:45] the
Tommy Jackett: [00:07:46] whereabouts of who decided on who was going to write this script.
How have I ended up here? Well,
Josh Janssen: [00:07:53] you just sometimes just sitting. Yeah, just sitting back. Isn't it, there's something in this. Just like not, not entering into it. Not getting involved. And then it's like, this is why I think the friendship groups too. So the big friendship group, your 20, 30 people, eventually, there's going to be a falling out.
If you stay outside of those circles, you sort of get the, you get the crane, the people who say I can't be fucking bothered with this sort of stuff. It's like a hard time.
Tommy Jackett: [00:08:21] God, I haven't had that in awhile. That's
Josh Janssen: [00:08:23] um, but you know what I mean? Yeah.
Tommy Jackett: [00:08:25] Yeah. I know. It's I know. It's your main,
Josh Janssen: [00:08:27] I mean, I never had the big friendship group, but I can imagine.
Tommy Jackett: [00:08:31] Yeah. You talk in high school. I mean, some people still battle through friendship blowups at this age. Um, different though, different times. Um, anyway, so, I mean, I know we don't want to rattle the cage too much cause we want to at least have a Christmas party where we can enjoy each other's
Josh Janssen: [00:08:45] company. Yeah, well, yeah, this is the thing like Morales.
Somehow I I've. I know how it's like with Jess's comments in the chat. There's definitely a narrative that's being built at her and that I somehow am the bad guy. Whereas I just want to say, I just woke up in the morning, looking forward to a great script by Jess and I got a Slack from Jay Bay. JB. JB knows that I'm pissed too, because when JB said, ha ha Jess said she was banned, I just wrote back.
I'll do it. That's all I said. Ha ha ha. No, I'll do it.
Tommy Jackett: [00:09:27] So how long is it going to take you? When are you going to do a,
Josh Janssen: [00:09:29] take me 45 minutes? I'll find time.
Tommy Jackett: [00:09:31] Do you need to speak with the admin queen to get her, to coach you through getting it
Josh Janssen: [00:09:36] done? That's fine. That's fine.
Tommy Jackett: [00:09:38] Do you need a Cal invite from Jess to get this
Josh Janssen: [00:09:40] done?
Now I'll put it in the calendar invite.
Tommy Jackett: [00:09:43] One thing I will say is I won't. Tell Julian hike.
Josh Janssen: [00:09:48] The
Tommy Jackett: [00:09:49] fuckery
Josh Janssen: [00:09:50] to me, call Jess up was on the phone call. And this is Jess. Oh, should we call her now?
Tommy Jackett: [00:10:00] Well, I think it's, I think there's, I think you, you get to give her. Her side. It's like a debate. You go, you've got, you can give it whatever timeframe you like before she gets hung up on and she gets to,
Josh Janssen: [00:10:13] but okay, here we go.
This is Jessica Lucas.
If I can talk.
Tommy Jackett: [00:10:24] Hi, Jess. It's told me here. Hey, going. Yay. Good, good. I've um, I'm talking because Josh doesn't want to, and um, I thought it'd be great to get, uh, give you the platform to robot. Anything that he's putting out into the ether that may misrepresent you or just be sort of clouding the situation. Yeah. Yeah.
Jess Lucas: [00:10:47] Um, I mean, like when he Slack time, I literally wrote back and said, no, sir, I don't know where he got the impression that I was actually doing it.
I was just trying to organize gripes or mates to do it because I knew that he was busy and. Again,
Josh Janssen: [00:11:10] you actually sound upset. It's okay. I'm going to, I'm going to write the script. It's going to be a lot of K, but I think it's, I think it's better if you, you sit on the bench for this one, but for episode 10,
Jess Lucas: [00:11:25] Julian,
Josh Janssen: [00:11:27] he's very attractive. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you've already had drew. I think you've had enough and enough sort of, um, meat that you've been.
What do you say ogling in the, in the last, in the last week, but yes, Julian is attractive.
Tommy Jackett: [00:11:43] Jess, can I just check in, are you hung over?
Jess Lucas: [00:11:46] I don't feel my fucking stomach lining.
Pretty much I did, um, uh, gin shot. Yeah. And, uh, and then we had seen recording the episodes and then I had a couple glasses of wine we friend last night. And I was fine. And then this morning I was like, Oh my God, my stomach is not great.
Josh Janssen: [00:12:14] The, um, it's, it's funny when we all share calendars because I get an insight into your calendar and I've just like, I sometimes say things I'm like, what the fuck is this?
It was G and J
with like about 40 owes. I was like, what is this calendar? What is this? What is this event?
Jess Lucas: [00:12:35] I thought I had it on private, but I'm thinking he's on private. I texted him to tell me that the same thing. I was like, you guys aren't in the J drive. You can see.
Josh Janssen: [00:12:45] Yeah, maybe. Yeah. I mean, I do ask you like, is it too much when I ask you questions?
Like how did the house inspection go? And things like that from the weekend.
Jess Lucas: [00:12:56] I mean, I can see when your breads
Josh Janssen: [00:13:04] yeah, the manscaped is in the cow.
Tommy Jackett: [00:13:07] Yeah. When you shave
Josh Janssen: [00:13:10] quarterly trim. Yeah. Okay. Well, I think it's fine. Like I think, uh, there's nothing really to be done here. The screen screenplay Sunday.
I'm I'm I'm fine. I was like, I was pissed off. I did stay. I, um, I was in bed when I read the, the message I was about to get up. And I was just looking, I was just looking out, uh, onto Smith's rate and I was like, okay, there's a choice right now. There's a choice right now. I could either be pissed off all day.
I was, I was going to say, okay, Hey guys, let's move around the shows because I'm just going to blow up. If I go on the daily talk show, 15 minutes after finding. And so I just know it, but look at me now, look, this is how woke I've become. I sat there set on the end of the bed. I put my feet to the ground. I said, today is going to be a good day.
And I was like, and it's good content. And so I got up and. And had a shower and so, no, we're all good. I'm fine. I actually enjoyed the script. Actually, if you look at it, I've got some, the, my main concern was I didn't want GB, uh, you know, having to do it with the editing he's got, but looking at the calendar, I actually have a bunch of, um, uh, uh, spaces.
I can definitely do it. So it's all fine.
Jess Lucas: [00:14:29] Well, thank you.
Tommy Jackett: [00:14:36] And, um, yeah, sorry. I had to get to this point where we're having a phone call about it, but that's okay. Let's
Josh Janssen: [00:14:41] next? Isn't it good? That it's all sort of feels, you know,
Jess Lucas: [00:14:46] um, through my reviews online.
Josh Janssen: [00:14:51] Well, I was thinking like, uh, did you ever do three 60 reviews at your old, old jobs? Okay. Oh yeah, we could, maybe we could do the three 60 podcast hosted by Georgie boy from hump day replay.
Yeah, that'd be good. Fun. Yeah, we could imagine it could be like a real sort of, um, It could be done like a cereal, like, um, yeah, like a crime show. Yeah.
Tommy Jackett: [00:15:19] Um, just, I guess while you're here, we can do some other admin. We'll just, we were talking Jess and I about Christmas party and we, you know, I was thinking, you know, JJ, you're not fond of sort of some heaving space where there's lots of people around.
Um, we need to find that sort of place in the middle.
Josh Janssen: [00:15:39] Uh, what do you think? No. Cause I'm open to the, the, the greater good of the team. So if you think if all the teams are gonna enjoy it at the end of the day, I can just be against a wall away from everyone else. Like I can, if you imagine a table, I just, I just am at the bit where there's no one else.
Tommy Jackett: [00:15:58] At the exit about to run? No, but we were saying, um, golf playing around at least doing some activity as I wanted to. I wanted to go to the park with a duffel bag. Finally, get it in, play sports, just piss out sports.
Josh Janssen: [00:16:12] Really what's wrong with that chess.
Jess Lucas: [00:16:15] No, I guess we can get that in lock down. Like we need to go and do things that we weren't able to do.
So, um, can I tell you my idea? Cause I think Tommy didn't enjoy it, but I feel like it's a good bonding thing for the team. Um, and then we can go, I think you would enjoy nice and enjoy this. And then I think afterwards, we can go get a drink and then everyone who wants to stay and drink and stay, and then the others can maybe go harm if they want.
Josh Janssen: [00:16:40] Can, I guess what you're going to say. You wouldn't know if it's bonding. You will not. I think it's one of those like destroy room things where you go and smash shit up or something. Is that what it is? I really, that is a very Tommy jacket
Tommy Jackett: [00:16:54] idea.
Josh Janssen: [00:16:54] Um, guys, stand back. I've got the fucking
Tommy Jackett: [00:16:57] ax throwing accidentally.
It's actually really fun. There's a place in Collingwood.
Josh Janssen: [00:17:01] What about a mid middle ground, which is archery? It's a little bit, it's a little bit less sort of macho.
Jess Lucas: [00:17:09] I have borrowed, sorry, I that little string like, and it bruises. My, um,
so my idea was, um, there's this place called free to fail. And it's like four hours and you go in and you talk to a refugee and the refugee take you through a cooking class. And, um, and so they teach you about dishes and how to make dishes
Josh Janssen: [00:17:35] check posts. Uh, Jack Post's wife works there, Bianca. Really
Jess Lucas: [00:17:40] it's really sorry, nine, eight.
And then you can also, I think you can pay to drink there as well as you want
Josh Janssen: [00:17:49] just the team or are they going to be other people there at the same time?
Jess Lucas: [00:17:53] Well, we could just get a team one to 10 potentially.
Josh Janssen: [00:17:57] Yeah. I'll speak to Bianca. I wonder if that's possible. Cause I know they do like Persian food, like people from Iran or whatever do like yeah.
I like that idea.
Jess Lucas: [00:18:06] And then it's cultural as well. If you can ask them questions about their experience in coming over to Australia and whatnot. So it's really interesting,
Josh Janssen: [00:18:14] uh, that I do like that idea. And then actually after that,
Tommy Jackett: [00:18:20] uh, look, I never said it wouldn't be good. I just thought it's knocking out a whole, pretty much whole day at some joints.
Jess Lucas: [00:18:29] I don't want to smell like onion.
Josh Janssen: [00:18:30] Yes.
Tommy Jackett: [00:18:31] Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Josh Janssen: [00:18:32] I mean, there's worse ways to smell like onion. I think like it's like cooking, cooking zoo. We do the cooking. Yeah. We cook alone. Yeah.
Tommy Jackett: [00:18:43] It's definitely different. I find in my mind, I'd be bored, like having the, I never mentioned the smash room whatsoever, so it was not fucking my idea, but it was more activities that require sort of a bit of energy.
Hence the park, whether you're doing like you actually come up with, you know, where you're getting in teams or whatever it be
Josh Janssen: [00:19:05] and sys attack.
Tommy Jackett: [00:19:07] Yeah, it's a bit sweaty though. I don't, I take, cause he got all that shit on
Josh Janssen: [00:19:10] indoors.
Tommy Jackett: [00:19:12] Um, but something, something, you know, it does. But anyway, I, I would, I was saying driving range or a golf course, like doing around in the morning and actually pairing up and being nice and fresh.
You do a few things round Robin.
Josh Janssen: [00:19:28] Yeah. I mean, that could be fun. I mean, go-karting just finishes too quick.
Tommy Jackett: [00:19:34] You
Josh Janssen: [00:19:34] go, there you go. All the way to fucking Dandenong or whatever you got Lamonds Oh yeah. Yeah. I have to go. You have to sign that, that the admins annoying with go-karting if, to sign away your life takes a lot of time.
What about, um, so 10 pin bowling?
Tommy Jackett: [00:19:50] Yeah. I love that. Yeah.
Josh Janssen: [00:19:52] I love like Jess, you'd be a 10 pin bowling family.
Jess Lucas: [00:20:00] Not now.
You just want to sit down and drink.
Josh Janssen: [00:20:15] Yeah. And so that's different. Like, so cooking our own meals, isn't really conducive to that.
Tommy Jackett: [00:20:21] It's like taking a date to the movies.
Josh Janssen: [00:20:28] Sorry.
Jess Lucas: [00:20:33] Like you would want to go to the bar and that fun thing.
Josh Janssen: [00:20:38] It wasn't clear on where bars are. Last time we spoke. We're still, it's still up in the air now. It's just pumps.
Yeah, I'm happy with a rooftop. I think the problem is that everyone's going to be thinking about it, but the end of the day, we need to do something that I'm happy to do. What's going to make a soul happy. I think. Um, let's do, yeah, let's have a think. How do we work it out? How do we come up with solution?
Does everyone put in three ideas? And then we all sort of thrown on them, a hat vote on them. Yeah, I think that that could be
Tommy Jackett: [00:21:17] unanimous.
Josh Janssen: [00:21:18] Yeah. What was that last bit? Yes.
Jess Lucas: [00:21:21] I said, yeah, we just pull it out of that.
Tommy Jackett: [00:21:23] There's something about the, just less need to discuss anything if it's pulled out of a hat
Josh Janssen: [00:21:29] or something, I guess that it's just like, so, but there could be things where it's like, or maybe we whittle it down.
So we say, okay, like, you've just got to put a vote. Like if you had to pick someone, else's pick, you have to pick one from them. I don't know. Like
Tommy Jackett: [00:21:44] it's big brother. It's weird voting people
Josh Janssen: [00:21:45] out of the house. No mail in it all has to be impersonal. Yeah. Because yeah, because you know, I'll, um, I'll try and read it.
Tommy Jackett: [00:21:52] You'll bring the lawyers after you get your decision. Turn back,
Josh Janssen: [00:21:57] actually watch an interesting short doc on Giuliani. I didn't realize he was the mayor of New York. It was a big, like, um, big figure in New York around sort of like nine 11 and stuff. Um, anyway, uh, thanks, Jess. Uh, no bad blood, but yeah, you can, you can remove yourself from the calendar invite for, um, screenplay Sunday for 10.
Tommy Jackett: [00:22:21] I mean, he could have chosen better ways to end in the sign-off.
Josh Janssen: [00:22:25] No, I was just thinking you don't want to just twiddling their thumbs. All right. Great. All right. Thanks. Thanks Jess. Thanks. Bye. Goodbye, Jessica Lucas.
Tommy Jackett: [00:22:37] Um, I went down to D were you obsessed with a hole in ones as a kid? Holding ones in anything.
Josh Janssen: [00:22:44] Did you see the hole in one that's on Twitter? My brother, James tweets about it just recently. Just yesterday. It is ridiculous. Go to twitter.com forward slash James Jansen, James Jansen. Um, I'm guessing this is, yeah, this is so scroll down just a little bit and you'll see at the masters. Oh,
Tommy Jackett: [00:23:08] okay. So that is the one I sold
Josh Janssen: [00:23:10] to pin.
Rom skips to a hole in one, on number 16 at the masters. This is ridiculous.
Tommy Jackett: [00:23:18] That was sort of a picture grabbing a rock and skimming it across a Lake. But what he does is uses East Gulf club hits a ball and it runs along the water across the Lake to the green on the other side. So yeah, that is why I watched it.
And why we went down a rabbit hole yesterday. It's. It is phenomenal
Josh Janssen: [00:23:36] found any of the ones,
Tommy Jackett: [00:23:39] right? Top 10, top 10 holding ones. There's a montage on YouTube. 1.5 mil. It's
Josh Janssen: [00:23:45] ridiculous. So do you mean that golfer was planning to do the skip?
Tommy Jackett: [00:23:52] Like any of them, or? I don't know. I don't know that, but I don't think this is what I asked.
Um, I asked Michelle Tim's basketballer I said, are you, you know, like you shoot and you might hit the backboard and it goes in, or it hits the rim then sort of falls. Are you
Josh Janssen: [00:24:10] aiming for the backboard?
Tommy Jackett: [00:24:12] Are you aiming for the backboard? Are you aiming for swish every single time? And she said it varies, but I mean, this is where you're hitting a golf club.
You're not saying to yourself, I don't think golfers are going. Holy one this time they they're going. There's the, there's the whole, that's where I'm going, taking this ball. And so then you land Holy one, which is
Josh Janssen: [00:24:33] complete. Surely I think when you're a pro the idea is you're always trying to get a hole in one.
Well, not a whole limit. You're always trying to aim for the PIM. Be like .
Tommy Jackett: [00:24:44] But the goal, if you had the goal, I think it's an amateur as my, I think I would be the guy trying to get hole in ones and I never forget him. I'm shit at golf. But if you were to just say. The goal, the goals wrong. Cause the goal could be to the pin.
I need to get this ball to the pin close as possible.
Josh Janssen: [00:25:02] I think if it's a path, if it's a path rave, they're always trying to get a hole in one.
Tommy Jackett: [00:25:09] Well, you're trying to get the lowest amount of hits per haul. Obviously,
Josh Janssen: [00:25:14] obviously small minded thinking,
Tommy Jackett: [00:25:17] but don't you think
Josh Janssen: [00:25:18] I'll be happy with a, you know, a birdie would be nice.
Don't be sorry. He just
Tommy Jackett: [00:25:24] train the guy. I trained a guy who was a golfer. And he'd done the, got he played professionally, not, not sort of now. So junior professionals. So before you get to the big boys league, um, he only got one hole in one and that's in 15 years of playing golf of like a high level. And so at that point, are you, so is it you're trying for 15 years to get a hold of one is what you're saying.
Yeah, because
Josh Janssen: [00:25:51] the thing is, it's not like it's not like you, you, uh, aiming necessarily directly for the pin. You're aiming for the grain. And then you know that, okay, the grains fast or slow, or it sort of moves in this direction. And so like, if you look at it, it's very. I think that the Holy one would be a lot more rare where it actually just goes from, uh, from T to pin.
Like, I think that in most cases it would hit the green first and then bounce or do something.
Tommy Jackett: [00:26:23] Yeah. It was one where it bounced, hit the ground once and actually bounced in like a basketball, like hitting a fucking switch.
Josh Janssen: [00:26:29] Ridiculous. Did you ever go to the, um, to the golf.
Tommy Jackett: [00:26:34] Nah. That's that seems pretty boring to me.
Josh Janssen: [00:26:37] It was good. It's good. Fun, good, good amount of walking. I mean,
Tommy Jackett: [00:26:40] I love watching. It seems bad, but the crowd, when the ball hits the crowd. Yeah, sure.
Josh Janssen: [00:26:44] So brutal.
Tommy Jackett: [00:26:46] It's like you guys, you knew you were standing right at the fucking grain dude.
Josh Janssen: [00:26:51] Yes,
Tommy Jackett: [00:26:52] you're hot. You're all covered. You're all huddling in the green.
The ball's coming, right? I've I've I throw a golf ball once as high as I could in the air and it came down. I was trying to catch it, smashed me straight in the forehead.
Josh Janssen: [00:27:03] No.
Tommy Jackett: [00:27:04] Had to go to the dock. Mum took me to the doctor cause it looked like the ball had just gone into my head. It was so fat. It was a,
Josh Janssen: [00:27:11] it was a bubble
Tommy Jackett: [00:27:12] that had just popped out.
Josh Janssen: [00:27:14] I was just so into gear when I was younger. And one piece of gear that I had was a, um, it went at the end of your putter and it was like a little suction thing. And so you didn't have to bend over. You would just like, it would just like suck the ball and then you'd grab it. But as a, like, as a third.
There's a chubby 13 year old that was drinking way too many Schweppes, raspberries and hot chips. I was just like, I should have been taking the opportunity just to bend down and grabbing the ball. I was just like acting like, I was like the things that were designed for people in their sixties. I was using,
Tommy Jackett: [00:27:53] I think even Trump bends over to pick up his
Josh Janssen: [00:27:55] book.
There is, um, there's an interesting gear nowadays. Like I could imagine. Like I remember there was the smart, um, they were like the electric, uh, caddies, like the golf, like, so your, um, uh, where you put your clubs rather than a golf cart, it's like the, um, you would normally pull it or whatever. And there's ones that were like electric, where you would just sort of pull it and it would just move along on its own.
I remember.
Tommy Jackett: [00:28:23] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's I mean, it's a 75 year old woman's, uh,
Josh Janssen: [00:28:27] device. Yeah. Yeah. And so
Tommy Jackett: [00:28:30] it's like your back's done and you don't want to push the thing. It, well, to be honest, I would fucking get one. It would take a lot of the chutzpah, like the, the heave ho out of it. And you get to focus on your game.
That's the thing. It could be three hours walking around. I'll tell you just one thing about the lockdown in Victoria. Um, the golf courses that were, that are public, that you can have access to. And so they, there's one near my parents' place. It's beautiful. People were having picnics on it. It was, it was like a really amazing thing about that land, how beautiful golf courses are.
And this was open to people to bring rugs and roll it out. It was amazing. Cause we walked, I walked past there recently and there's no one, no one was walking. Cause I don't wanna get hit by a ball and all the golfers are out, but it was yeah, my dad was saying it was
Josh Janssen: [00:29:19] ostracized. I mean, this is it's fine.
We won't do this. I don't think. But Churchill park golf club. For me, I spent six hours there for six years as a member. I like, I know the course where at the end of the West, um, the West course. Yeah. You know, like I'd smash it.
Tommy Jackett: [00:29:39] There is, if there is a bullying course that is public. That's not, I can get in if you just want to pay.
It's really nice. And it's close to the office 10 minutes. Okay. Great. 15 minutes. Um, there's options. Um, yeah. All right. What have you done for a Christmas party that you liked? For team, let us know. Hi, the daily talk, show.com.
Josh Janssen: [00:30:01] Thanks guys. Enjoy your day. I've got a bit of a cough on tonight. Nightmare.
Bloody bit of bloody. Um, uh, what's it called? The, uh, storm asthma. Oh yeah,
Tommy Jackett: [00:30:11] no, it's a serious thing to be careful.
Josh Janssen: [00:30:13] Yeah, a lot of people out there. You guys, a lot of pollen. Yeah. Have you got one side?
