It's a daily talk show. I'm Josh Johnson. I'm Tommy jacket. And this is a conversation sometimes worth recording. 999.
0:09
This is big Ed and I will be bigger. Yeah.
0:13
Friday. It's Friday entities freezing and melted. We don't talk about whether much
0:18
well i think is appropriate. It is the first day of winter officially. Oh, yeah. June. How does that work? How, let me explain it. Get this thing called season how it is. We need to get a with a professional lawn to talk about this because I just how does the world know to the day that winter is starting? Yeah,
0:44
I can't answer that question. But I just know it starts on the first of June in Australia. Yeah, that Doesn't that seem funny to you as well. I had lunch with these two dudes from South America. I said, I'll probably be hot there at the moment. I said not
0:59
because of southern hemisphere. Yeah. Oh,
1:01
it's America is hot. Right now. It's getting into the summer. Northern Hemisphere. Yes. It's the opposite month. And yeah. So it's, it's cold in South America. Anyway, that's my lack of geographical understanding of how the weather plays out around the world. Well, you were
1:18
I sent you a link to a to a video
1:21
of a two meter Peter, a guy that we're going to have on the to me to pay to Twitter. I don't know, buddy. He's two meters tall. He's names paid. Or we're going to have him on the podcast you send me I sent you a link to him talking with Seth Seth garden.
1:37
It's a two meters tall. He's terminates toll Yeah. Far out of here. Yeah.
1:41
Why am he's trying to swear less. Good job. Thanks. No, but hey, yeah, nice. waiting for me in this podcast. So I sent him I sent you a link to the video. You saw that? Yeah. And you were having a guy band? Like,
1:53
guys, I think Perth is
1:55
actually closer, is it?
1:57
No, that's what you said. Well, I thought it was close fuel to fly directly from personal America? I don't think so. It's not
2:03
know because you would you're going over like Europe and stuff. Or you're going through like the Middle East?
2:12
Where is it? Let's just come to the conclusion that you were just very, it was a good example of you going real hard on something. And this is a good example of don't tell Josh anything, because he will talk about public platform, talk about a bit of a public platform, this is what you do, and you're in a corner and you've just revealed the conversations that were supposedly between you and me. What do you think of anything? That's funny? Wait, wait,
2:40
I always get kicking me. I I always get in trouble from brave for this talk yet for saying something. But she said in confidence. And then I think it's a funny bit of material. And she said, yeah,
2:51
that's it's just a gauge I'm feeling at the moment as far as understanding how far to take things. Yeah, because this is it's a blurry line
3:02
because I know it's like I honestly don't give a rat's Well, it's about knowing it's like someone said on because I mentioned that estrogen patch story or whatever. The other day I thought it was brain like is pretty okay with that, who said that?
3:16
One of her friends when I met a man and so
3:18
I was like, Yeah, she was fine. Like, I think I've got a good guy. He tells me when I've say something I shouldn't. Yeah,
3:25
it's sale filtering. Like, I think I have a good guys. But when you having as many conversations, as we
3:33
say, especially especially on a public platform, but my point being that you geographically have no idea. Well, this
3:41
flat Josh, so let's not go there. That's what
3:44
that's what you wrote back to me at the time, but don't know so it's, it's freezing cold. And I this is absolutely disgusting. But I'm a dog whisperer. Now I'm looking after a dog took him out for a walk today. He talks a shit you know, steaming pile of shit that saying, Yeah, yeah, it was a steaming pile of shit. There was steam coming off it is that the most disgusting thing that you've ever heard? I wasn't sure whether to bring it up. It's just disgusting.
4:14
The what you know is the steam is carrying the smell. And so that you get away from that thing. Because like a thicker maybe. Can you relate to people that leave dog poo on the ground? I you because I know you've we've talked about how you were waiting for this guy. And he made sure and and he didn't even he ran off. And so now I can't relate. Because I think that as soon as you are entering in the realm of having a dog. Yeah, you need to clean it up. Okay, but can
4:42
you understand? I understand how disgusting it is. So it's just like, it's a reason why I'm not getting a dog. I'm serious. It's like if the dog I've said this on the a few episodes ago. If the if it was if dogs didn't. She'd have to have a dog if it if it didn't smell well. hold off because maybe in 20 years, and maybe there'll be dogs that don't. She is this bad. I'm feeding him a lot of like, dry like hard foods. Not to make him constipated, but just to make sure that he's not doing a sloppy poo.
5:18
If that's his diet. If I'm
5:21
giving him more smack goes then. I probably don't need even more smackers he will get fast dogs do get fat my dog my Dalmatian would get into bins we still got a gentleman show died okay Robbie dog It was my daughter's if I knew that dog died well I don't own a dog you've come to my house where's
5:40
my dog mom I've got a cat just doesn't live with me yeah
5:44
my parents can still dumb name to my cat my cat my cat my cat my cat Jansen
5:52
I'll tell you a story and I had to get this checked off with me before I talked about in the podcast so you're checking that's good well I almost did told it before and then I just held off on the day just because I think you interrupted
6:07
that doesn't happen but I did go in Africa and she said thanks for asking issue but just don't mention x y&z sometimes that happens where I say hey can I tell the story and they'll go just don't say this part of Mike Yeah, you mean the funny bit the bit
6:22
really shit your pants? You don't want me to do that? So Amy I'm flying when she was young. She was sitting be like you are at the moment. You know, Friends from the church. They said would you like to stay up? I look after a cat's head cats and the cats had Elisa. So those baby cats and so she had to when you said litter? I just isn't that I thought kitty litter. You mean like a litter of is that? What more flock of birds? Elisa, Elisa Elisa. Okay or dog
6:53
has it anyway. Okay. It's puppies? It had Mulkey Yeah. Multiple kittens. Yeah.
6:58
So those a bunch of kids and she was named to fade these like fade the mom and make sure that everything was going okay.
7:10
One of them died. One of the kittens. Well, she may she kind of think she may have killed it. How to mix match hosts know there was one that was like a bit of a runt of the litter. So a bit bit struggle town. So it's almost a bit down when esque. Like, it's just it was meant to die. Maybe. But what happened was bad timing. No, it was trying to get on and sort of getting squashed by the mom is trying to latch on to the boob and like something happened. And then Amy fed milk. Yeah, lot because she was like trying to give it me and she's like, she was constantly trying to call the vet and they wouldn't answer. And so she had them constantly, constantly on the phone trying to get through. And then she's okay. I'll give it to me. How old was Amy? I can't remember.
7:59
Which are you really young?
8:00
I don't think she was too. Yeah. Was Google around now? Probably not. Then. If she didn't just go for the
8:08
Google? Like, what's wrong with my cat? No. Yes.
8:10
She actually said the machinery told me the story. She said my phone yet. Google wasn't. I didn't have a phone that could do Google time. So I couldn't. So I was trying to call it and then she got the fruit of it. She asked or should I give it some milk? she'd already given it the mail. How? Just a test. Like, absolutely. It will kill it. Really? You know, don't give it milk. Anyway, he died. But I said what did the owner side because imagine if you kill kittens, where they're four or five or something. Okay. So maybe you You heartless bastard. No, I was just visit cavalry.
8:45
Gary. There was a sticky if it's like if they've got I don't know how cats work. But if there was like 15 of them, and one died. Yeah,
8:52
probably wouldn't notice that there was not 50 it. But anyway, the owner said that there was it was the runt of the litter and not are so that would that would like, yeah, it was probably going to die anyway. But But I am. He didn't tell them about the milk. Yeah, I didn't ask that. You.
9:10
Okay.
9:12
Well, that was a good story. Well, I guess we'll find out like, is this because whether or not she told me was that she gave it milk? Yeah,
9:19
it didn't mean it is a big precise, I think the lesson of the story is stop feeding the dogs macros and anything outside of its original meal deal that it gets. I'm trying to work out how to
9:33
throw like, throw to him, because sometimes I throw it and it just hits his head or he doesn't do anything, can't teach an old dog new tricks. Well, I'm just need to understand, like, How high do I need to throw it and just getting used to it because I was having.
9:49
I was having the smackers to get more out of them and so I had more opportunities to make him happy but it changed the sizing so that he could no longer just sorry he was missing and every single time the problem with you having any pet is it then becomes another distraction in your world. Yeah, when is this all being guy on? There's a lot to do. Yeah, I'm also really taken responsibility which is good, but I think it's taking a bit too much to tell. It does take a bit of time, but they they getting a great experience like they're the the owners, it can be wrapped, I guess, but they I guess they weren't really unless I created some sort of montage. What would have been great would would have been great. If I was to say, Hi, we created this montage of his house sitting.
10:38
It goes for like three minutes. And it's like, Look, he's actually playing more of the dog. I don't think they want to say you guys but you still got another couple of weeks here. So I'll
10:47
tell you about their job. I never did it all man. So I got this text message saying
10:54
hey, Tommy, would you be able to make a montage of our dog he's very soon at the moment. I never did it though. Did you and so I had a booked in and I got a message in the morning saying Oh, we've had to take him to the vet and have to postpone never happened. dog died. died. No montage. I've filmed a funeral before you film your grandma's funeral. I live streamed at different I guess it's basically
11:21
Samara to I had a full Fs seven Cinema Camera in the back and had I was using so for whatever reason. So my brother lives in North Carolina. And he was watching I literally had one view I was on a YouTube unlisted live stream. And I could send it around I think, actually probably pick those three people watching it was everyone you knew. Yes. And
11:48
get a cup of tea, which
11:50
all people love doing that sort of thing. But I think they normally there for the sandwiches didn't have the same sort of so
11:56
you brother was watching? Yes. Yeah.
11:58
And so the thing was, I was uploading it like high definition. And so every six minutes I got a notification from Telstra, saying that I'd used to geek data on nachos, getting a text every six minutes throughout the whole funerals. It's like it was okay. It was probably should have flown you brother out. Yes.
12:18
Can I ask? Is it like I know that for me to get through family events, filming remains like my version of fun and I am interested in what's happening and I'm capturing moments I haven't done a funeral Yeah,
12:33
but was it do you think you avoided the emotional literally every time someone came to talk to me I would just adjust the tripod just I hate to sort of wave at them and look busy Do you think it was it your idea to film it
12:48
yeah I'm sure I'm sure someone mentioned it and then I was like yeah absolutely I can do that yeah and then just went and so it could have probably been an iPhone job but I have I'd like a full sort of rig set up and then I was responsible for the the slide show as well so you know doing all the scanned photos and stuff like that and I was told by my auntie that the funeral people like the white lady funeral like what wasn't white light if you know but one of those they they were going to be playing the music and then when they got the David day they said are
13:28
there's no music on it I said yeah I thought that was going to be played separately and they said are not and had to be embedded in the day to day so I had to then really do it you see live right I was just like
13:41
I just had to find a sign they had iTunes at my disposal so it was either going to be the the YouTube for you to album
13:52
or there was a
13:54
Jose you know has a wonderful world I can't remember it I see trees of green red rope but it's a lot harder for version really nice so you went with that yeah the problem was that it didn't time out perfectly
14:14
well I was just stop on I just sort of like
14:20
you know Maya Maya was a funeral director really
14:23
and out height that job
14:26
interesting job I mean telling us to do it's like morgues it's like
14:32
people who dissect bodies bodies
14:36
Yeah, open them up to find out cause of death all these things so I'm going to do top seasons autopsies. Yeah but I remember being a kid and being taken and asking Can I say you did body Did you say once or two dead bodies and these aren't just you know ins you know it's not like you're in a mall where they're pulling it out of the freezer it's like in a room that's super cold and they like made up for it we're getting ready for
15:03
the day made up for the funeral yeah and so I just remember seeing these today body
15:11
yeah it's Have you ever seen a dead body um I sent it dead body
15:17
now oh
15:19
yeah I remember doing research for on the internet
15:23
yeah not no real life did but I realized that body
15:29
I sent in real life dead body I think it remember yeah you know I did the war there was a situation where it was there was a while I was in the Philippines even there was like I've just seen a body on the ground a few times but it's not like you're saying the like face or anything like that it'd be pretty traumatic I guess if you're saying them in a spice that's where it's just happened like a traumatic situation that we did my friend was on a roof
15:57
talking to other guys now mamas yeah talking man one falls through Did you
16:04
ever imagine that just hanging with the mates and then at work everything changes though really rattled him so bad man and then we I recommend probably like fail videos and stuff on good because like I feel like my like you when you're watching our videos you watching all of these like heightened situations which I guess I'm one fallen off there like by go live and we laugh at that sort of thing and you almost think like what would happen there would be a moment of like instant responses to laugh at certain things right like he's like when I hit my head
16:41
on the van let Bray was like teary eyes and so the hugging me
16:46
I was like
16:50
What have I done how bad it like because I had no sense yeah
16:54
like I could have chopped his head off and I wouldn't have known
16:58
so yeah hurting yourself is not but this is the worst I've heard myself so it's pretty low level Matt you're not an adventurous dude and and how much have you actually have broke my foot by four foot fell into a hole making a film was a kid took six weeks for them to take her doctor she thought that I was just complaining broke my foot banks walking on it for six weeks Lynn doesn't get a good ref on this
17:24
giant say that because then she's gonna say that I don't give her a good she's very funny. She's a funny person. That's where I get my some of my quirks from
17:31
yeah
17:33
alright cool outrage. Lynn she gets outraged a lot I feel feeling having to deal with three or it's your show Ray boys and the outrage get three boys would be super tough. Yeah, you
17:44
have to have some level of thick skin Yeah, and because I'm sure that that's one thing that mom did teach me is like
17:54
sick days were not good. Yeah, if I if I chapter sticky and she thought that I was faking it. I just remember conversations which should that yard This is disgusting. It's It's good. It's Yeah. And so but I also remember the other side of it, which was she was also should buy me some lackeys and flight shake from Wendy's when I was sick, too. Oh, when I was Flemmi. I know you're not meant to have much milk stuff but I would crave that I could pick shag
18:24
get told that if you got a cough no ice cream oh sorry I don't think it's a cough it's gonna make me throat feel good
18:35
yeah Josh has come out all right lane if you're listening yeah you gotta try not trolled you had a tell me their story. Because I've seen a scam you basically turned it into a real content piece for yourself.
18:48
I made is No. Well, I got a direct message on Instagram slit in the day and so intimate. Am that was going I'm Holly sign that she worked.
19:00
She was a senior posts and Instagram. Okay, Holly. Yeah. And so I looked at their profile. It's sort of a bit weird, sort of some random names. The aesthetic was in great. Some photos from the royal wedding. I was like, Okay, this seems like a bit of a scam. But let some all engage. Anyway. Long story short, turns out over one over $400,000. And so yeah,
19:26
decided to have a conversation with her on the dams. So
19:31
Holly, open up by saying something like, Hi, Josh. You've won. Yeah,
19:35
she said that there's been some winnings, this is official Instagram type of thing. And you've you've won this money. And the thing was that what I was trying to do is to see how many roadblocks because obviously if you've won some money and they give you some rules there's a part of you that would say okay, I need to have not broken those rules. But what would happen if a scammer they were want me to have one the money because that's when I do the transfer? Yeah. So what about if I put some roadblocks so they said, you cannot tell anyone, right. So first thing I did was, I said, I've quit my job. Holly, have quit my job.
20:14
You wonderful. Exactly. And I said, I've I said thank you. It's been so liberating. Basically, I said that
20:23
I said that I've raised my voice. I've just been walked out of the office.
20:31
So
20:32
she sent me this thing saying, You can't tell anyone about your winnings.
20:37
I said, I've told my girlfriend. She said, okay. That's okay. That's the only person you can tell. I said. And my mate Tommy
20:46
said, Okay. But no one else I said I my boss.
20:51
And then she said, like how we're gonna need a FedEx it to you, right? Um, and I said, contact FedEx. She goes, Yeah, you can take it like everyone can have FedEx. I said, No, my neighbor had a fight with FedEx. And now no one of the apartment block can get FedEx
21:06
you're thriving in the I like
21:08
a bit of improv I love it
21:09
it's it's it's imagination running while and she said
21:16
she said can we send it to your boss I'm I'm not talking about us anymore you know because I raised my voice and yeah so there was a lot of that sort of back and forth of just how many how many hurdles can I create and
21:33
yeah so it was I mean one of the one of the highlights was she sends me this video of cash and if you listen in the background there's a Bruno Mars on and I asked her I'm like Do you know who the artist is in this thing and so we're going back and forth back and forth back and forth until she finally said yes it's Burt I'm oz. I'd even think that she knew that it was Bruno Mars I think that she was just wanting to move on so it was it was really it was a fun experience I spent way too much if you look on my Insta stories I should save it out or something as you can know they
22:09
also have down anyway now is a history of course the highlight highlight history Yeah. So that between the dog and Holly it's a full time you literally spent not nine hours it was there was a long long day what I've thought from seeing you do that initially. Even when I walked in here today you said a lot of content happening. Yeah, a lot of content and as all around the this woman trawling you. I was
22:36
up at midnight trying to get her to call me so I couldn't get the call. Yeah, and you would have recorded it. I had QuickTime ready. I was like, Okay, let's and so it's not over yet. Because I've said I've sent the money and she's obviously going to say hey, I haven't received the money and then I think so I think that would be good to share on the show it on. Yeah,
22:56
so I'm seeing these people now have they're having a tough time with the amount of people that are wanting to shift this into a content piece for this social media strategist.
23:07
Well, the thing was, if she just looked at my Insta stories to Jasmine I ended up hiding the Insta stories from her and we're saying her like Holly is a person yeah
23:18
holy looks like a stand up citizen you know profile The funny thing was I played
23:24
I played Bray the video
23:27
of the all the money and just someone like swipe through like I'm sorry the king money brace it I can hear her breathing I said by for one Holly doesn't exist. It's probably some dude from some random country and to that's not his money, he's just ripped a video this is
23:48
a sent a link is that did you go through to the profile that the video was attached to know. So always direct direct video sent. So we want a life to live. But you just scamming people I probably I was looking at I did feel a little bit bad because I went on to the
24:08
profile of the account was looking at photos and was commenting on a couple of them just for a bit of a bit extra content screen, grab screen grab. And the there was one guy who was like writing to a site. Yeah, you're beautiful or whatever. And you click through. And then you say, Okay, these guys any 60s or whatever reason, sort of the south of the US and they click through rates, like it's got a family I've got a daughter who's got a design like a design business. And I was like, man like here's an actual real person who's engaging with this this is why they get lucky. So the scam or they wanted from you, all they would have got was a fee to send the prize in one which all have a good yeah, that they would like, okay, you transfers transfers, 400 bucks. So then that's the delivery cost
25:00
for the for the amount and I was saying, Can you just take out that cost in the overall winnings place. And she said, we've had a couple of cases that Instagram where employees have used that opportunity to take more money. And so I did other things, too, is I just wanted to check her gauge on the empathy that she might have for me. So I said,
25:21
I want to give you $10,000 of the money just want to suffer to the point. Maybe she's like, you know what, Josh is such a good guy that I'm not gonna like, I was sort of hoping could I could get her to come around and say and not engage anymore. She felt bad for me say that I was buying a house and where they say what a holy so it's really gross because they play on the whole religious thing, too. So it's like, God's last odds with you. Isn't that the most ridiculous crazy thing that you like? So it's probably playing into people's emotions. Words I got this is what I need it. This is the colon and they're like you deserve like, it's all this cycle language, which is so predatory. dangerous for old desperate, man. Yeah, I think it's a woman. Yeah, that they may have just made a bit also. Yeah, there's just so many elements to it, isn't it? It's a it's not ideal. Have you ever have you ever had some actually, once again, that I have had which I hate is in the city people dressed up. I think they monks they dressed up as monks come over, say something inaudible maybe in a different language. And they have like a metal token. And they're like, giving it to you. It's like, it's teen sort of material. And they they hand it to Melbourne. Save it. Yeah, it's like a gift. It's happened to me in Sydney as well. Okay, I could give. And so it looks like they want to give it to you. And you say thank you. And you take it and then they give you like a little notepad with all these peoples names with $1 amount for donation. So then they put it there, and then you're expected to write and amount give them that money. Like, so. It's a Yeah.
27:04
And so I remember that. And then they take the money. Is it like, yeah, scared? Yeah. So I was,
27:08
um, you know, when it all happened. I was just on the lookout. I was ready to join me. And it's not a good look to like yelling at someone who's dressed as a monk. You look like an asshole.
27:23
You don't do that in the city. Yeah, people will come down you. Yeah, you know what? You're going to experience a lot of this in Europe. So I think I told you what I appreciate some of the big is actually offering up a product by selling losses for $1. one euro, you know, they're selling pins or notepads. Yeah. Which they've gone and stolen. But they have worked out that if they're offering something of value in exchange, they get money as well. Yeah. Which made sense. And so but in Paris, I watched
27:57
nearly scan to watch
27:58
these old dudes playing this thing where that I'd like, you know, it's like, some dice and money and like, so you flick in, you know, they're like, it's almost like the cotton ball. And it's so clear that you could win. Like, I'm watching guy. Hang on. I might just check it 20 euro down here. And I almost did. But so what happening is there's this guy doing the cups and taking the money and then someone will come in, there was an old guy playing and checking down 50 euros, euros and guy and then winning and getting the money and kept playing. And so that's a court that's like a fake. So he's obviously lifting this dude when and then when someone jumps in. I may being and damn tourist and I throw my 20 Euro in. They amp up the game and make me lows. There's a part of me. And this is like so counterintuitive, but it's almost like
28:53
I was like him. Wonderful. shock. Holly if I just paid the amount. So yeah.
28:59
Paid. Yeah,
29:00
check the amount in there. But it's not really
29:05
about me. Which is like, but if you're the federal like if you a police officer, how good would it be to have a wad of money like you haven't, like say you went up there with 1000 euros and just start dropping 50 staff and just let them get this feeling of like they're winning, winning and then just like arrest them at the end. Is there a way that you could
29:29
send her link that she could click on that we could see at least where the IP is coming up, or they're probably using the IBM IBM VPN I get there. This is a VPN IP and VPN virtual protection number of virtual private network. Okay, nearly pretty close. Yeah. So there'll be using a VPN I guess, but maybe not. Is there a link that you could just say, Holly, my bank needs notification of verifying or whatever. Can you just click on this? Yeah, I
30:03
mean, one of the things that they
30:06
one of the things I was thinking about doing is I went online and found a credit card dummy generator. I yeah. So it actually gives you details which you could use, but I wasn't sure on the legalities of it. I couldn't work out like,
30:20
if you gave them a legit Yeah,
30:22
that's what I'm trying to work out. I'm like, okay, so is this using some sort of system which would trick them but it's not, I don't want to accidentally charge someone 400 bucks, you know, that I've had my credit card ceased, as in I just block it. Yeah,
30:38
because the fraud as some sort of my new transactions happen that's triggered it anyway, I asked them how does this happen? I said, You know what, they've got generators that just constantly spit out numbers that they're constantly trying and sometimes I get it but
30:53
I forgot that Bray was a secondary card holder on a credit card that I rarely used there was three transactions or for like $198 for like a place in Japan and
31:10
I I contacted my bank about it and yeah it was just I Braehead should forgotten that she had so it was just in her draw, like not being used and all that sort of thing. And so yeah, it's a good example because and they asked the most annoying questions that like, has anyone in your what annoyed me most about this bank was I contacted them as soon as I found it on a weekend and they sit out fraud team isn't here on the weekend. So they'll get back to you on the weekday. Right. So I was on a shoot missed their call, they left a voicemail and that was it never followed up. Never put a case in. And so two months later, I'm like, Okay, I'm gonna
31:53
I'm going to finally I've got this time it was like a Friday at like, 4pm. And they closed at 6am. Like, I'm going to finally I've got to call up and and sort this out. And they said, Why are you only reporting it now? And I just said, look at the notes. Look at look at the last time I called what what was I saying? Yes. And there's another Michael case. Yeah. And then the Michael case was the the the link systems customer service issue. And, yeah,
32:21
so they, she apologized about it on they processed it. But they asked the most annoying question. Like I said, you know, you sure best questions like you sure you didn't make this payment.
32:36
So I guess I have to say the dumb Yeah, yeah,
32:38
there's a lot of dummies out there. And I guess I'm probably one of them. But yes, that was so we don't know where we're at with Holly. I've gotten a lot of content, the amount of people who have reached out to me and the dams Sam dismisses Yeah,
32:51
he was he's getting involved in giving him $10,000, right. He'll be on the show. I might give it to me say, hey, Michelle, you're going to be earning 10 grand on Monday coming on
33:00
as soon as I get my money will it might be a while but maybe he pays my FedEx fee. And we can sort of I could even give them a bit more but yeah, I'm already inviting people to my new house. So design that giving out money back and forth it is I do enjoy
33:17
the game ball. Yeah, I
33:20
just love the improvisation of describing a story. Yeah,
33:24
they've been doing it since you couldn't read as a kid need rate at which is my cup and my
33:29
couch saturates the daily talk show everyone it's Episode 99 Monday is Episode 100, with Hamish Blake, which is going to be a bunch of fun. We got some good guests next week. Yeah, we've got a lot of good good guests, including I don't know. So Dr. Jason Fox, I call him an organizational psychologist don't have that to sort of
33:54
preferred title the book in that says what he it says that in there because we dropped
34:01
I don't know where I got it from. But I think it's right here. It will tell us anyway, I've been speaking to him about all of these things and you know your problem all of my all my problems and all the like, Hey Tommy and I've been thinking about this and he said like raises eyebrow. So it's gonna be great because we've got no idea. Yeah,
34:20
so we have the punters idea yeah,
34:23
speaking for the punters I think Yeah, the average Joe but I think his point was that maybe all of these professional like it maybe people have less of an idea than what we think so we've got him coming up next week as well. But in the meantime send your emails to hire at the daily talk show that was from Robert Yeah, we got one from Robert a future podcaster who was a who loved listening to the episode with Lisa and it's inspired him to to go out and start his own podcast Yeah, Robert Worthington cheese dude and he was asking about equipment where you give me so the Sennheiser a 945 microphones if you need to know where it's made. Germany. Yeah. So these microphones are really decent. The I think are about 230 bucks. But the other option two is there's another really popular mic, which has a longer stem is the Sennheiser empty 46. And the benefit of that is, it's it's like a reporter Mike. And it's got way less noise from handling like, so holding, holding the mic. And that's what Lisa was actually using. So yeah, I would suggest that. And then from a recorder point of view, the zoom, all of the zoom stuff is really good. We have the f8, which is overkill. But there's if you've listened to the vagus at all, Josh is all about over. I love a bit of overkill. But yeah, there's definitely you know, you for a few hundred bucks, you could get a zoom recorder records into SD card, get it up there. But if that's the barrier to you starting think, again, use your iPhone. Yeah, yeah.
36:05
That's such a good seeing Anka, I didn't even know like, yeah, the
36:08
anchor app. Yeah, just download. I mean, that's the thing. It's
36:12
perfection Nizam can get in the way you've done and when we started, we started on real hack job where we're using two USB microphones and we couldn't hear each other and it was a pain in the ass 50 episodes,
36:25
I think they're learning from that is wherever you start, it becomes that becomes like, very basic. Yeah,
36:31
for you. So if you spend five grand and set up, it's going to be basic Pretty soon, because then you like we need the 10 grand Sheikh. Exactly. And the other thing too, I think is it say you want something that's going to be the least amount of distraction as possible you don't have to be you don't want to have to be learning a new technology while you're also trying to learn how to speak to an audience yeah and uploading on podcasting as well and just tonight we've still got no idea and we're 99 episodes in it's very true and from a podcast point of view
37:04
to actually get it up we use something called Simple cast but our friends at wish to do a good job to more Corey lightens, got a great product there, especially if you're wanting to start to monetize and
37:15
yeah, string capital. We're not in this to make money if this is the Yeah,
37:19
we're This is the long game. Okay. Yeah. Thanks for listening, everyone, and we'll see you on Monday. Have a good one.
