It's the daily Talk Show Episode 837 happy waking Banta Welcome back to The boy Mr. 97 Thank you Why we lads,
Hey, I gotta hang on sorry buddies. Just if with my lighting on. Let's get
this tinted tint of orange didn't make a big difference. That's okay. Real quickly quickly Have you guys noticed this trend I'm doing it I want to know if you guys are doing it too. Or if you're doing it I'm definitely not doing it because
the working from home. I've noticed doing that having having having a shower or whatever. And then
forgetting to bring undies into the bathroom and then just fuck it. I'm not going anywhere. Just putting the trackies on now undies
Hey asleep is on right now. Yeah
a couple of things here. Couple things here. I got I don't take my clock I don't take my clothes into the bathroom. Yeah. Okay, interest I just take my towel what happens zoom calls and what well you don't know what's happening out there
I know the thing is I'm living that life with on sweat I'm living that on sweat lodge you know what I mean? Let's be nice.
It's no floor to ceiling windows but it's fucking good. I mean, there is a problem with floor to ceiling windows. I guess that's why I'm probably sort of troll troll.
more cautious. Not that I've got anything to hide.
I get it but I will say I'm all I'm all for it Josh. I've got no problem with free balling I've been known to spend a whole day at the office in a pair of jeans for a bully.
Well they're really
nice in the absolute rad
look, free Boolean Janes absolutely not great for
free balling in running shorts.
Dude, it requires to be honest I'd rather freebo I'd rather free bowling Jane's than trackies Really? Wow, okay, you're not gonna say I get it. Now why he's just feels so like, intrusive Jane's like they're a bit of a stiffer fabric. Yeah, kind of like, Oh, no, no, I see what you mean. You really see your penis shape when you're wearing trackies and so if you are outdoors, like if you're going out, it's it's classic. It's just you can tell if you're circumcised or not.
That's okay. That's alright. Like working from home. I feel like that's
it Yeah. I mean
I do have a you do have to
To think about it when you're standing Apple, I will say if you freeball in Jane's Look, I don't advise it. It's a it's a power move. I don't know who the power is, is for but it's, it's definitely you would you freeball in Jane's. It's all it's always if you've been to the gym and forgot to pack a pair of undies, and relatable ones, you know why and you've had a shower. I'm not going to go spend a day in sweaty jocks. I'd rather spend a day no free balling in in my jeans. There is one thing though. And if you are a fellow gene for Ebola,
you become very self conscious of the crack. Because you don't realise how crappy you get when you've got no undies in jeans.
Because not wearing undies is definitely not
forgot everything by its very George nodded when I said the crack thing he's feeling me. He knows the crashing engine. I don't have a very high aspect you're gonna crash. Well, I so I had a my old housemate my old housemate I didn't even know what a heist crack was. This guy always had no always always had his crack out somewhere. And I worked it out. He's bommies just one crack it's like there's no chase actually reaches the the Scott
back of the back of the head at the Nick where he's headline finishes is where he's asked.
Could you imagine being asked to eat cheese back?
I feel like you have an opinion on this.
This stuff on the undie stuff I had to you had to read
Issue things. Yeah, sorry. I go.
Yeah, I already have what now it's gonna say the same thing as Tommy's. I don't. I didn't get changed in the bathroom. I can't yet I get changed. I just get changed the bedroom but I do have it on suede as well.
The other thing was doesn't matter.
mean, my mom still bugs me and he said, Well, do you know what you need? Not to harp on about it. But if you had a second brain, you would have put that into drop. I told you about drops. Have you downloaded and started using drafts? Okay, I'm glad you brought this up. I
got it. Yeah, I downloaded it. paid for it. So I got the pro version. Yeah, thank you. It's not sinking.
bring it out yet. I'm not joking. I've tried in three different devices and connected to the internet.
Have you turned yourself off and on
But I can help you after this JB it's very Yeah, I'm just using notes. I love it. Yeah. But how's that nice. How about these save I'm a nice guy sibs was looking at he's doing a bit of a rebrand. It's a classic case of get a girlfriend and then they want to dress you. And so he was he was on the iconic looking at different clothes options. And I said, hey, maybe you could get some of the stuff that Pete Shepard wears, Pete's got great style. And so I was able to type in
Pete into my drafts, and I gave Mason, the link that where Pete shops gets his stuff was that was that why do you have Why do you have the link to web page shops? I asked him, which Brian? The second Brian asked him the second Brian sent him a text and said
like you're on a walk or whatever, and you're like this bit and the thing was
the office No, yeah, this was
I was I was there when he mentioned it, it would have been October, November last year. Was it last year? early December? No, no.
But anyway, I mean, there is an intensity to this approach to life that there are not up for playing well, you don't feel good. Why do you want to live an intense life?
Fucking intense. But isn't that like we only have one life? You can choose two options. You can be dull and just live on the non intense life or you can be intense there is something very powerful about being intense. I think there's I think there's I think you're right in some senses, but I think there's also the peaceful existence. That's like,
what's it all mean to even have Pete's supplier of these clothes, clothes? Likely doesn't really mean anything for anyone. It's a real. It's like, you know you hate the details. So you'll love
By admission appreciated it. Yeah, yeah, that's why you like, you go back to the same place over and over again because you don't know where else to go.
I'm not being critical of that but I'm just so that is definitely advice to yourself. No. Boy I said to the risk the risk was I said to service because sibs does take my advice and I said to him, I'm like, you can't i can't be a style icon you can't because he has been using me as his style icon, which is why he wears hoodies the hats that I reckon small
size I don't I think that he needs to he's gonna branch out beyond me and so I gave him permission I might go look at other places don't just wear what I
say we're just paint shop then.
He shopped at proper cloth COMM
And they go proper cloth. Yeah.
Proper cloth Mason was looking for at a jumper that was what 1300 bucks so we use it
whenever you say oh look it only takes one of my job tape or pay
to work six weeks so that jumper
The idea is you have it forever You know it's a quality product. So this week it's quite intense whether there's a lot of wind and I know that you and saves Josh had wind earlier in the week. But that was from the Bay lentils Do we
know oh my god. I don't think I've i don't think i've fostered that bad. Yeah, in my life.
Like it. It was at rice mill or power. Both gas Yeah.
He could provide renewable energy for the entire suburb of bowling North with wind, power, wind, farm and ally.
turbines that I've pushed around without
Anyway, so really windy and it's kind of picked up the other night. And next minute we're all on the buddy text here that Oh, how windy is this is, you know it was great chat. I appreciate it. You had a great video in there and a little later that night fucking internet wind absolutely capable trying to do some uploads no dice, obviously an outage I respected the decision of Mother Nature that decided that I couldn't have internet so I was like going to bed, had an early night woke up early did some work. It was great. It was a godsend. Anyway, it's come back to bite us even worse than the internet. My mom called Amy I got a message from Harry Lodge.
Residents in almost 90 suburbs across Victoria have been urged to boil water due to electrical damage caused by winds and storms across Victoria on Thursday.
Not three people, including a four year old boy have been killed. That's fine got a bit dark there. I was only bringing the the fact that we had to ward boil water. We've been boiling water to drink and that's how you could just have cold water
contaminated? no no you bought you could have bought Yes, yes, yes, yes. So when you need a boil water JJ like you either living on a property that's got a tank or rain tank and it's pulling water into the taps that you actually have to filter and so the fact that weather has done something to the water
so you actually I really want you to it's in the actual fucking you to say supply. It'd be in your hands. All right. Yeah, you'll be right. Speed each guy frozen.
salmonella, it actually can't be that bad. Well, we were saying subs you were saying that the they're working out whether you've got
You know how towns are going with COVID based on the faeces? Yeah I yesterday I was reading an article that they're going to use search as an early warning sign to find COVID so i don't know i mean that I don't know what the actual process is in terms of detecting it but they must just go down there and just take samples at a regular interval to find out what a job has for COVID Why is it the contamination I feel like would spread pretty quickly like once it's all in there then it can just go everywhere right yeah and so TJ What does this mean for you so the
the the heating up of the water because I did want to buy there's there's water bottles that you can get that have like you know, the pump bottle bit is a bit bigger and it's got all these minerals and sand and you know first and then you can just fucking get water. I could be walking along the Yarra River and just back and fill out my bottles wrote drink dissimulate
videos of saying just disgusting water go to clean the thing about it though, for those i mean i don't think that hectic but I was gonna say says that Jabra water has is urging residents to not drink it like that is like they're the fucking hate it it's really
not on the list
the thing is TJ How long were you like saying my waters fray waters endless and here I am 500 cans
like shit mines mine has raspberry
that's not privileged. I don't know what is cheese cheese, cheese cheese. You're not getting the the special from Woollies. Yeah yeah we did you stuck up Yeah, we got a bunch. We also tried some sample the orange one strike. But he know he brought a lot bought a lot when he's hasn't said the number.
It's like it's a bit obnoxious that he doesn't want to mention it.
how many cans he's giving him by giving? It was we it's a whole fridge shelf now we couldn't end up buying
boxes tornato like more than 24 I drink nine into talking about like 96
Wow, that was certainly important to know that people get very people listening to this just getting real angry. And that's fine.
I can clear clear is a clearer than the bloody border that
he always would be safer to drink than this bullshit and it tastes a little bit like raspberry.
Hey, after last Sunday's weekend banter, got a message from a man of the show Gideon hein. He said, mate, love the screen writing Sunday. How can I get involved?
How can I get involved? And so there are
a segue How did I get outside to get how did I get? Jp don't answer this one.
How did I get involved? Well, how did I get involved?
Question wow look you can
you can send us an email a hot the daily talk show registering your interest don't yet I suppose. Yeah.
And what will happen from there is up.
screenwriting is enjoy writing writing, get back to
Georgia we'll get back to you and you'll be on a you'll be on a list where George send you an email each week with all of the screenplays that Josh have him and him have written so far.
And really that will George also go through any ones that
there'll be a group. I think they'll probably become a member of my substack. Maybe you and I.
It's like a blogging platform. It's a second round. It's behind the wall and you can get their email address. Anyway, what I did say to Gideon was
if you want to, if you've got a scrapers name, if you want to ask to raid or do a table raid, have a script on a show, send it through, because he's been writing those he's been writing scripts, and that's why I was so mad. I've been writing scripts fucking into it. This week, though. It's not it's not getting, you know, time to shine. I was. I was gonna work really hard. But I want JB I know how much he's been putting into this. You've even been doing the master class. What do you think of Aaron Sorkin's master class, yet started the master class last night. I loved it. It's great. I was actually building a second brain while I was watching Aaron Sorkin's master class. So I was writing it
Take some notes you would have been proud. johaug right?
I've already done like, okay, right.
Well, I mean, this is just a plugin to get a free free master class here, but
the main reason why the music master class
so I've written heaps notes and I've put the ones in bold that I think have the best, strong clear intention and in, in formidable obstacle. So the main thing with screenwriting is you need a clear intention and and an obstacle.
So basically, someone wants something and there's something standing in their way.
If you're not sure if it's a good enough intention, or a good enough obstacle, you just press on it. So you ask questions like, oh, what if they just did this? What if they did this and you have to basically
Yeah, make sure there's no plug up the holes. They say, what's it like an obstacle an intention to one would be TJ talked about
The cafe that they went to she locked herself out and so you've got the obstacle and she needs to get inside how she like this is a very sort of like obvious and obvious one but it's like there's multiple ways where she can smash the window or do this or do that. Yeah.
So intention and obstacle as the main that's the main thing. I was worried that you're gonna go to dialogue heavy because I don't know if you have read some of Aaron Sorkin's work he doesn't have much action at all it's all dialogue. Yeah. So he said that he a normal script is like 120 pages or something. It's a it's a minute it's a minute of the page meaning the page but he's screenplays are about 200 pages and still dialogue. Yeah, and it's not like a minute the page like if you heat like he did the social network and Steve Jobs and West Wing like a very like fast paced like back and forth and the other thing too
is on that sort of intention obstacle thing.
So much of the dialogue that he's written is just two people struggling to communicate and understand each other. like yeah, that's why I think like with it was a guy that played Mark Zuckerberg, his name and I see Eisenberg
always confused between him and Andy Sandberg. Yeah, I was thinking that I was always always get a little bit actually but also, I did that SNL sketch they had Mark Zuckerberg, Andy Samberg and Jesse
I always get confused with them.
Who's the guy from Juno?
Oh, yeah, yeah. Singer. samco Sara, Sara. Sara john cena. Yeah. Like jack post fits in the middle like jack pose In a similar vein for some reason. Definitely. Anyway,
Shay, you want to tell us about the script that you've just sent through to us?
Yep. So I was like, oh, maybe I'm trying to think of an idea. I thought I could do an idea based on something that's happened on the show this week.
And sort of rework it from there. Because one of the things that Aaron Sorkin talks about is finding your favourite short stories and then rewriting them basically, as a little exercise. Yeah. I love that. So I've sent you sent you guys a script. Yeah, first benefit I use the ad NASS for a while now.
Just grind mentor just like I'm said, style mentor.
The printed with demonstration version of fade in whilst the formatting is great, having a watermark that says that you're using the demo software as someone who would be in Hollywood? I'd say no. I mean, you've got to be able to invest in at least this
Where if you're getting serious?
fashion stuff? It's atomies day.
I think or at least I'm sure you could probably use Adobe Acrobat to delete that demo writing. Just Yeah, sure. I couldn't work out how to give it a title page. So the title page is basically title written by author's name. Copyright. So you ripped it off the end. You've just ripped it off. Well, no, they set it up like that. Yeah. And so yeah, so normally, one of my favourite bits is the title page, because you can put your name on copyright and you feel like a top dog. That's what I think I'm really proud of you. I think it's fantastic. Last week, and so, yeah, go on. Alright.
Josh, you can call the action again. Yep. Tell me your tummy Mason. You're Sarah and I'll be Siri slash comfortable.
Okay, this is title written by author's name. Interior Tommy's house night. Tommy is frantically looking around the house. He grabs his phone and wallet off the table. taps his cotton on track he pockets but feels nothing. He spots his case on the kitchen bench and grabs them then checks the time on his phone. 741 he slips on his shoes and ties up his licence. 742 interior car night Tommy is driving as he glances at the clock.
directions to the nearest ice cream shop.
Make a U turn.
he slams on the brakes and does a U turn. 744 Hey Siri
Cole fairy hills ice cream shop.
Fairy hills ice cream. This is Sarah.
Hi, Sarah. I was wondering if you could put four layers of Bailey ice cream aside for me, I'm on the way. Sure, not a problem. We've also just got in a Southern Comfort flavour if you're interested in that. Yeah, just a litre of that. Thanks. I'll be there in five. Tommy looks in the mirror and sees a cop car the cup drives up beside him and pointed his watch Tommy looks at the clock 748 exterior ice cream shop not Tommy parks his car and runs in. But Sarah is at the counter points at her mask.
Sorry, man, I can't serve you without a mask champ. Shit. He runs back to the car to grab his mask and back in the shop.
That'll just be 39 Thanks.
Oh, essentially declined. Sorry. Okay. Do you take cash?
No, Sir COVID huh?
I'll just use the business card.
Alright noise. Yep, that's gone through. I have a nice night. Tell me off his back in his car and floors at home to beat the curfew. He gets home at 801 and there's a cop car waiting for him. As he pulls in, Josh is calling Tommy answers.
JJ Can I call you back right
at the police there? Yeah, how did you know? I called them I tracked you on find my find my and saw you were on out out of your house and wouldn't make it back.
Why don't you do that your dog you know, why are we one minute late?
I had to do a U turn. Not
Because you took a minute to tie your shoe laces if you had lock laces, you wouldn't be in this situation. You deserve the fine.
Is your fine sir. Now stay inside.
Thanks, man. I deserve it.
A bit of a rush job that when admittedly
it I'll tell you so.
A contention of sicko.
Yeah, it was beautiful. I fucked my dialogue because I didn't realise that I had lines. I'd sort of missed that bit but uh, going back I can't blame you for that saves.
This is an improv. read the script. You were coming in Iran? Yes. Sorry. Like, I reckon they were more words that you put into the script and read not on. It's what great actors do.
during tibo raid, Joe, do you think Did you
You think it was like a little bit sort of it was a bit disjointed.
But I mean, maybe a bit of feedback from you about me or the whole thing I needed. I just the whole thing was struggling, right. Yeah.
I think I could.
I don't know that the dialogue wasn't super engaging. Just made a feedback for me. And
what I noticed hearing it right out, does it give you other like ideas?
he wants Bailey's Oscar. That's what he wants. Yeah. selling ice cream. Thinking about like, so when you said $39. Thanks. Did you look at sort of the ice cream?
An ice cream shop would be about $39 for two for four litres five, six latest? Yeah.
For 39 bucks is cheap. That's super cheap.
We think about like 500 grammes and it's like maybe like seven bucks. I reckon 49 later and it costs us 28 down the road. Really? Okay, I reckon. Maybe not even the late 500 mils what's what it's like I can I just say the formatting? Can you see like how much easier it was for flow through it with the correct screenplay, although
I reckon it's hard. It's capslock and non capslock. It's a bit all over the show up there. What do you mean? Like, say for instance, the first action Tommy's frantically looking around the house, that's all in caps, and then to non caps, and then it's caps again, and then it's so screenwriting, where you have the action. The first time you mentioned a character's name, they should be in all capital letters. So you were sort of semi right there where you said Tommy is frantically but should be Tommy in all caps. Yeah, then lowercase is frantically looking around.
Yeah, I think it's great, I think.
Well, I mean, it'd be it'd be good to. Yeah. If someone wants to send it in. Gideon send a script that is that is that Gideon? Yeah. Yeah. He, if he wants to send in a script or write it out on Sunday, maybe there's a page limit based up because that will give us a good time. Yeah. So there's like a three how many pages or three pages? Yeah, yeah. Okay, three pages of dialogue insane. And then
signing characters. It's important that we'll put it on the iPad for me next time so I can have it I think the reason why I struggled to read the breathing stuff was because I had my neck turned. I think if I was MBI Pat and I was sort of front on it would have been a better performance. If you're in a brace. It would have been okay. When when they actually I will rage neck brace.
Can I get Can I get teleprompter? I need teleprompter. Yeah, I can't do this. What I was going to say is what we should get when they do to make it a legit temporary is you should do some long term.
For each box so we can see how
you're going to when they do a table read like if you're doing Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise we say Mason's putting in these little extra two cents is a table raid
bringing character vibes are they literally reading dialogue to see how it flows?
Look from what i've what I've seen, you wouldn't go for like if you perform it at a I could extreme right people probably be looking he'd be laughed out of the room. Yeah, you know what we'll
say that that's not common. You haven't done comedy there.
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
drama. Good luck. Like That was funny. Looking at like the I've seen a family raid of Modern Family, whether in a big room it's like the whole cast
and they laugh.
their asses off. And I was like, that is interesting. Like, if you can get a job, get a laugh in the table raid, it's probably going to be pretty funny when you should, we should say more supportive of laughing throughout. So maybe we needed to say hey, if you find something funny laugh but it also table rate is the ultimate circle jerk isn't it? You sort of all in a room around a table and everyone's vibe in euro paid to be there. You're fucking excited that there's this show that's on? Yeah. What I love is the same show can be written by multiple people. So I'm watching this thing called kingdom. That UFC gym based in Venice. And yeah, it's but each episode like maybe they do like three. And then there's a whole new writer for the same characters, but to giving their taste. It's amazing. Like do they do they sort of lead with it? Do they? So it's up in the front titles written by this episode written by and so, you know, you get multiple riders across the season, which I thought was
Really cool because they'll be like, you getting a different vibe, but it's still the same character just needing to do different shit. It's Yeah, that blows my mind. Just so just a little tidbit on that. If you have a bunch of ideas, but it's all set in the same location, you're most likely thinking of a TV show. If you have a, an idea where like the characters die in the end, feature film. Really? Yeah.
Friends or something. It's like all like Seinfeld. It's like a sitcom. Right? The same sort of spots. Yeah, otherwise, if they're all dying, it'd be a sitcom.
You guys get it. Whoops.
Why don't we do that was when we
decided to jump
on board since I will I will just say just quickly this is on master class comm.com.com
Don't just don't just read a table raises your first opportunity as an actor to make character choices and show the entire creative team what you're capable of try to perform it with the same energy level that you would if you were in front of camera. A subpar table rate performance can sometimes result in a pot being reduced or an act of being replaced. So
what you try to do
what you can do, yeah, for sure.
Yeah, sorry. That's all I got. So in, that's talking energy. But I reckon if you were saying things that weren't in the script, at that point, it's not really a table right is a it's a fancy
improvisation during improv during table raid, let's say what people are saying
Well, when Gideon sends in his script, is it worth us going through it offline before we bring it to the show? Or should we? Is that a title read? I don't know. I mean, I like the suspensive.
Not maybe you could write it. Yeah, I kind of like that. It's like, I don't know where this is killing but I'm getting it.
What do you do when you're doing scripts? Do you do like a top line of the whole script? So I'd be like, you know, you could you could do like an outline or a what? Not even like a What's it called? logline. A logline? Like the one sentence that describes the whole thing is struggling artist battles with addiction. wants to escape his household. Now I recommend about like,
Tommy jacket needs Ice cream, ice cream,
but he's dealing with a curfew. Yeah, Greg
Yeah, yeah, maybe that's not cry. Cindy, what do you think the logline should be of GB script type of daily torture outcome
Melbourne's lockdown is getting in the way of Tommy Jones
let our Daily Mail headline
more salacious, save the cat is a good book if you want to.
They talk all about loglines and stuff in there and how to formulate it actually if you are wanting to create a podcast the the process of coming up with a good logline is helpful with that as well. So the process to a logline Yeah, we hadn't previously been here yet. Yeah, I love it. Well, yeah, I like script writing Sunday's or title nine brain by screenplay. Sorry, advice on screenplays. I'm not doing sort of
screenplay. screenplay Sunday. I think if you know if we do one of these every Sunday for the next sort of Yeah, I ease up pretty will be pretty proficient
good and also eventually when we film them we could film them all. And we can like cut back to the action oh this was reading it out for the first time and like
it's great for behind the scenes car the like the idea formulate like this is good the making of I actually maybe if anyone out there is a pro animator, they can animate Oh, there we go. That's a good idea. Send them through the Delete option. I'll come the The other thing I was going to say, when I was getting into the script writing stuff the first time when I was like 1819 I bought every screenwriting book that I could find. And there's some real shit one so maybe we can end on I can grab one of the books I reckon there's there's one about like, I got a cup. You will
screenplays bad or something like some of these are real like just scraped dummies? Yeah, let me have a look sensitive odd.
Just quickly while you have your headphones on still Josh will tell the story. Pat Flynn, who is a? Yeah, he's got some online courses and stuff. He's he's been around for a long time had a podcast for a long time I saw Ronnie's Instagram account, he posted a photo of him holding a printed script. And its original have a draft of Back to the Future. I'm pretty sure. And so he got his hands on one of the original draft scripts. And he said it reads completely different to how the movie actually ended up coming and being shot. And it's like he's prized possession owning and another Joe script. Would you be into holding actually having a physical script that may have been handled by actors or well the funny thing is your Amazon you can say like friends scripts and they've got
And then you look in they've just, they literally say the autograph. So replication
It's an archive.org Yeah, it's a stamp. So this is this is a book that I'll read a piece out of how not to write a screenplay 101 common mistakes most screenwriters make and how many did George
keeping the caps lock key on?
Okay, ready? guy for I don't like the format of this
here we go. This first one Yeah, for criticising an author the actual book
development which area Do you want to learn from form? content or development? are we reading them already? know Yeah, I thought this was a this was written Yeah, just yet.
Here we go.
Ready? We can edit this in.
Okay. Find okay.
In the action. The action says find Jimmy and Heather at a table for two in one of the formal upholstered dining rooms upstairs. Both look splendid. But stiff. Is this a celebration? Or a truce? And then this is the feedback. I never quite know what find means at a lot last. Does the author want a long slow pan through a restaurant until the camera arrives at the subject? Do we start on a painting over their heads and crane down to them? What if none of the above then Jimmy and Heather is enough find ease fine for a tracking shot, but it
must be clear where the shot originates. Right? Hungry diners and busy White is in a chic expensive restaurant where we find Jimmy and Heather. Furthermore, a table for two.
We can assume that if Jimmy and Heather are there, it's a table for two. It's certainly not a table for one unless someone is standing, don't
and enumerate and you yet enumerate the obvious. Unless something special and unclear is necessary. Maybe the table is for and they're waiting for another couple. Upstairs. How, how do we know? Was there an establishing shot of the building? No. Did the actors climb a flight of stairs on camera? No. As it happens, there are windows in the upstairs dining room. But you didn't know that. Splendid but stiff, alright, they're well dressed and uh,
little nervous. But is this a celebration or a truce?
Talk that really ripped it apart. Anyway, it could go on but that's fine. Yeah. Yeah, I think you start watching this that kingdom show and one of the characters
goes to this guy who was ripping him off. And he was in a hotel room, and he hadn't been there to get onto him for a long time. And he's like, Fuck, I'm gonna go and absolutely smash this guy. I want my money back, takes a gun with him. And he goes into the room and beats up this dude and he's like, Where's my fucking money and he's like, oh God, and he sort of explains what's going on there all mites so there's a lot sort of playing at it. A lot of great you know, old relationship, ripped off new heights and blah blah, blah. gets his money. And then as he's walking out, the guy grabs his gun from the back of his pants and pointed at him so this is the guy that are the money's now got the pointing the gun at this other dude who needed the money back and you think I know he's gonna fucking kill
He then turns the gun on himself and blows his brains out. But then the the decision in the writing is to ignore ignore the like the reagan he left it there like they sort of just planted the whole thing of fact he left the gun there the guns linked to him It can get traced back what's gonna happen, but then they went on for five episodes. And so it's interesting to see like do these huge actions when they make a big decision to not bring things in to the for the next five episodes like oh my god they've just forgotten about that or they've got too many things going I could see when you've got multiple riders doing shit you like fact I think this bits more important right now will be exposition as well. So exposit Have you gotten to that sort of stuff? JB about what exposition? Yeah, so exposition is the things that happen just to basically set up a smiling service once now I'm just loving. I'm just enjoying it. So exposition is when you
What to say if
you see a scene, for instance, and it might be, you need to set up, for instance, the whole curfew thing we need as the audience to know that there's a curfew happening. So yeah, exposition could have been Amy saying to TJ, the curfew is you've got until eight o'clock, right? So that is now exposition that can then be used. So it's like, when you show the clock, it all of a sudden makes sense, or that's good feedback. And so exposition and stuff is something that you can use in dialogue. But it can be it can be lazy to the there's a there's a risk risks that you can try and say everything. So imagine, all of a sudden you're like, trying to explain everything through the dialogue. So two characters, having a conversation just to try and fucking give information to the audience. So don't tell us exactly sure.
We'll have a
dialogue. So he
Great play Sunday baby. Right? All right. It's a daily talk show. Enjoy your Sunday. See tomorrow guys have a good one. Say guys
